Chapter 1065
Mia looked at her adorable little boy with a sigh and pulled Henry into her arms. "Can you settle down a bit? You're calling for your grandpa again, and if he decides to scold me, I can't promise to protect you," she teased.
Henry pouted from his cozy spot in his mom's embrace. "Mom, blub blub, oopsie, oof," he mumbled, trying to express his toddler woes.
Mia gently wiped the top of his head, chuckling softly. "Oh, my poor little guy, using every word he knows." Henry snuggled closer, and Mia translated his toddler talk, "So, if Bob doesn't chop wood, you can't see the teddy bears, right?"noveldrama
"Mhm! Yeah!" Henry nodded, wrapping his tiny arms around his mom's neck.
It was only when Bob chopped wood that his favorite teddy bears would magically appear!
Naomi observed the lively scenes unfolding in the garden. The sunlight was just perfect-not too bright, not too dull; the weather was flawless, not too cold, not too hot; and the timing was spot-on. After a
morning filled with energy and play, it promised a hearty lunch. So, she instructed the household staff, "Let them enjoy themselves, don't interrupt."
Hansen was breathless from chasing around the yard, while Molly's heart was racing. "Dad, why are you so determined to chase me? Can't handle the truth?" she laughed.
Hansen pointed a mock-stern finger at his daughter. "You just wait."
With renewed energy, Hansen dashed after Molly again. Her playful threats about a sore stomach didn't slow him down. "Mia, help me!" Molly called out.
Mia, lounging comfortably with Henry, grinned, "I'm thinking of a rescue plan for you."
Then she turned to her son. "Henry, call out 'Grandpa'."
"Mommy!"
"No, no, it's 'Grandpa'," she corrected, exaggerating the mouth movements. "Grandpa!" Henry giggled, "Nee nee!!"
Two minutes later, the garden rang with Henry's sweet, tiny voice, calling out, "Nee nee!" "Dad, wait a sec, listen!" Molly stopped in her tracks, a grin spreading across her face. Hansen halted too, looking stunned. "What did I just hear?"
Mia encouraged Henry once more, "Say it again, sweetie."
"Nee nee!"
Hansen stood there, taken aback, and asked Molly in disbelief, "Is that for me?"
Molly nodded enthusiastically. "Of course, he's saying 'Grandpa'." Mia, carrying Henry, approached Hansen. "Sweetie, call him Grandpa." "Nee nee!"
Even though the pronunciation
wasn't perfect, it melted Hansen's heart. He let go of the chase and hugged his adorable grandson tightly his eyes twinkling with love. "My sweet boy, say Grandpa one more time."
Henry's little voice calling "Nee nee!" again made Hansen's heart swell, completely forgetting when his grandson mistook him for Bob the Lumberjack.
"Alright, sweetheart, let's head home."
Ever since Henry started saying "Nee nee," Hansen couldn't stop bragging over the phone. "Hey, Harry Rayner, listen to my grandson call me. Isn't it the cutest thing?"
He'd then put the phone to Henry's mouth. "Sweetie, say Grandpa, and Grandpa will watch Oopsie with you."
"Nee nee!"
Hansen proudly boasted over the phone, "Isn't it just the sweetest sound? I can't even sleep without hearing it now."
In the afternoon, Andre and Chad
headed out, with Chad worried about his wife's playful antics. "Chad, I was sprinting around when Mia was pregnant. This is just a bit of fun. Besides, Dad didn't really chase me that hard this morning; he wouldn't let me overdo it."
ет
Andre felt satisfied with his father's affection for his son, which allowed him to say, "Dad, Henry's staying with you tonight. It's crucial to keep practicing his pronunciation, or he might forget it in a few days
