Chapter 89 She Looks Pretty In Formal Dress (Part One)

How could he admit to such an embarrassing thing so openly? 'Is he still the Spencer who is haughty

and would save his face at all costs?' Fiona continued with what she was doing while thinking this in

her mind.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang again. Spencer opened the door impatiently.

Johnson greeted him with a formal salute. He was holding a handful of noodles in his hand. "The

noodles, sir. The kitchen is preparing the dishes you ordered."

"Got it. You can go to bed now."

"Yes, sir!"

Spencer closed the door and brought the noodles to the kitchen where Fiona was. "Here you go," he

said as he placed them on the table.

"What are you doing?" Obviously, she knew the answer.

"You should cook for me! When did you become so stupid?" he asked.

Fiona was going to refuse. But she knew better than to provoke Spencer, so instead she compromised.

"Wait for me to finish my noodles first. How much will you eat?"

"All of them."

"All of them?! The noodles will swell when they are fully cooked," she explained with a surprised

expression.

"Don't underestimate my appetite," Spencer said proudly.

Fiona shrugged. She grabbed a bowl from the cupboard and poured the noodles into it. As soon as she

placed it on the table, Spencer quickly reached out, lifted the bowl and placed it in front of him.

"What are you doing?" Fiona asked with a frown.

"What?" Spencer bowed his head and sniffed the noodles. "Wow, this smells so good! I'll start eating

now!"

"The noodles are mine!" Fiona was a little upset.

"What do you mean? What's yours is mine. We're sharing." He picked up the chopsticks and started

sifting through his bowl. He picked up a piece of fried egg and said, "You're so stingy. Are you not

willing to share a bowl of noodles with me?"

"You..." Fiona squinted. Seeing Spencer enjoy the food, she sighed hopelessly. She decided to cook

the rest of the noodles instead.

After a while, a soldier brought them the cooked beef and chicken. Spencer ate the dishes like a pig.

After he finished the noodles in his bowl, he handed the empty bowl back to Fiona. "Refill it with

noodles," he said.

He was really hungry!

Fiona refilled his bowl with noodles as told. He devoured them with glee.

"Have some chicken soup." Spencer placed a bowl of chicken soup in front of Fiona. "It's cold today.

This will help warm your body."

"Thank you."

Spencer's eyes shot up. "Don't say those two words to me from now on," he added.

Fiona raised her eyebrows slightly. Something was different with Spencer. He was acting strangely. He

had been more easy-going recently, as if he was in a constant good mood. Could it be because he was

finally back in his place?

Fiona's deep thoughts were disturbed by Spencer

as he started knocking on her bowl with chopsticks. "Hey. Eat quickly. Aren't you tired? Don't you want

to sleep early?"

"Okay," she said as she started eating the noodles.

"Chicken soup, chicken legs, and beef." Spencer started transferring some ingredients into her bowl.

"You're too thin. It hurts me when I carry you in my arms."

"I can't eat any more," Fiona protested in a low voice.

"Eat as much as you can,"

Spencer demanded. It was the first time that Fiona had eaten so much food. She didn't feel well after

the meal. She cleared the table, hoping the labor would help digest the food.

When Spencer came out of the bathroom, Fiona was packing her stuff. She turned around and saw

him half-naked. When they exchanged eye contact, she blushed. She turned around and frowned. "It's

so cold outside. Why are you standing there half-naked?"

Spencer chuckled. After drying his wet hair with a towel, he slowly walked up to Fiona and asked, "Are

you worrying about me?"

"You think too much." She shook her head insistently. As she did, the smell of Spencer's freshly-

showered body wafted through her nostrils. "I'm going to bed," she said in a low voice.

Then she ran away as fast as she could.

Standing behind her, Spencer gave her a smile. Seeing Fiona flustered and embarrassed amused him. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

Fiona ran to the main bedroom. As soon as she closed the door, Spencer appeared and opened the

door. She turned around with shock on her face.

"This is my room," Spencer declared before Fiona could say a word.

"Well, then I'll go out to sleep," Fiona stammered.

Spencer stretched out his arm and stopped her from leaving. He raised his eyebrows and smirked, "Do

you think I will let you out?"

"You..." Fiona blushed scarlet with shyness.

"Are you afraid?" he asked. "We slept together before. We've done what we should do. There's nothing

to be embarrassed about."

"Do you think everyone is as shameless as you?" Fiona spat as she suppressed her embarrassment.

She then turned around and tucked herself in. She closed her eyes tightly, hoping he'd leave her alone.

His bedroom was painted mainly in black and white. His quilt gave off a unique scent which made her

unable to calm down.

After a while, Fiona felt the other side of the bed collapse lightly. It meant that Spencer had already

gone to bed. She felt a little nervous. For a long time, Spencer was just lying still.

Was he asleep?

Just as she was about to open her eyes to check on him, Spencer started speaking.

"Do you remember my birthday, Fiona?" he asked, with his hands crossed under his head.

"I don't remember," Fiona responded.

There was tension between them. "You're heartless," Spencer sneered. Then he turned to Fiona and

glared at her. "I told you before it is the same day as the New Year's Day! It's such an easy day to

remember and you keep on forgetting it. My birthday is a day for celebration all over the world!"

'What? A day for celebration all over the world? Who does he think he is?'

Fiona tried not to laugh out loud, but rolled her eyes instead. "I see," she replied reluctantly.

"What about my gift?" Spencer asked expectantly. "Have you prepared my gift?"

"No, I haven't," Fiona replied honestly. At that point, she wasn't even finished with the draft of the

necklace with a maple leaf. So it was true that she hadn't prepared any gift for him.

Spencer was a little angry. "Didn't I tell you to get me a present? Why didn't you listen to me?"

"This is the first time I've seen someone beg for a birthday gift," Fiona replied calmly. "Gift giving is

voluntary."

"I don't care whether you are willing or not. Giving me a gift is a rigid rule here!" he demanded. "Where

is the necklace I asked you to design for me?"

"Design needs inspiration. Without inspiration, it can't be designed."

"Bullshit!" The foul language that he used made Fiona open her eyes. "Why are you speaking so

harshly?" she asked with a frown.

"It's all I have to say. Besides, it's not like you have anything else better to do. Design the necklace as

soon as possible."

"What makes you think I have nothing to do? I'm here to help you take care of Celine, aren't I?" Fiona

replied. "If I neglect her because I give all my attention to the design of the necklace, I can't afford the

consequences."

Spencer was infuriated, but he also desperately wanted the necklace. "Design the necklace for me first!

Do you hear me?"

Fiona did not understand why it was such a big deal for him. "Alright, I will," she promised carelessly.

She yawned, turned over, and said, "I'm going to sleep now."

'Sleep?' Spencer thought. 'We are a man and a woman sharing a bed. Does she really think we should

just sleep?'
