Chapter 169 Gangsters On The Prowl
I have fallen into a hole, yes, a hole. It is one of those holes that you disguise with grass. Well, my ass has landed me in one. Now, why on earth shall this man have a trap at the front of his gate? Does this also mean that Stefan has not been here yet? But here is where I am being rather dim; of course, the boy can launch himself out of it, which is exactly what I am going to do.
Now, if I thought that launching out was going to be the easiest thing, I should have stayed down there. Next, I hear the click of a gun that is being cocked and another one with a clip that is being unloaded then uploaded again. Yes, I have met the very men that I do not wish to have met.
A welcoming group of gangsters.
I guess the hole is actually aimed for them, and I have just shown them the perfect opportunity to miss it. I do hope Dean realizes that when I do see him again, that I am ripping his clever ass head off. But before I can even bring out my claws, I need to respectfully ask this gentleman with his gun in my face what it is that he wants.
“My dear friend, what is it that you want?”
The man looks at his fellow members and growls from laughter, “My dear friend, which century are you from.”
“Oh, you do not want to know.”
He looks me over from head to toe, “Are you also one of those strange men that live in that house?”
“That, my dear friend, is something that you really do not want to know.”
“Well,” the man reaches out to grab my hand, “You are taking us inside there.”Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
“What makes you think that you can make me follow you? Do you truly think that I am that stupid?”
“You were stupid enough to fall in that hole; I guess you are not very clever with anything either.”
“Well, my dear friend,” I pause for a brief moment. “You are not very clever for you have picked the wrong man to fight with.”
“What are you going to do, dude? You cannot touch me.”
I grind on my teeth, trying my damndest not for my fangs to come out, “Do you want to test that theory?”
“Listen here, dude, we only want the gold that man has.”
“Ha! What makes you think the man has gold,” I rip my hand away from him. “The only gold that man has is in his teeth, and I do not recommend that you attempt in extracting them.”
“Do I look like I care what you say, dude? I am telling you that you are taking us there?”
“My dear friend, the name is Lucas and not dude.”
“Well,” the man takes his gun and shoves it in my side, now I can use my power, and I can let him shoot me, but do I truly want to expose myself. So without him having to say another word, I walk ahead of him towards the house.
As we walk there, from a distance, I can see that there is a light on; the man does indeed live here in the ruins after all. One other thing that this man is also known for is the fact that he refuses to feed on humans. Between all these ruins, there are a generous amount of rodents that he feasts on. This makes him to be a rather nasty-looking Vampire, and when I mean don’t extract his teeth, I am not referring to his fangs, but he has the most ghastly mouth full of what teeth remain.
What the boy thinks he will get from this Vampire is just an awful taste in his mouth. I can honestly not believe that the man is still alive. I once attempted to attend a Vampire Ball, but after a few unwelcomed glances, he rather left and came back to his hole. Yes, he seems to really have a hole.
So as we reach the door, the man and his fellow members, I don’t know why I am so polite when I have a gun shoved in my ribs, but they stand on the sides of the door and force me to knock. Now, I don’t want to know what happens if I knock and the elder is already dead. This is going to make for a rather interesting situation.
As the door finally opens, I am very thankful to see that it is the elder, but I do notice that there is a different kind of look in his eyes. I am not certain if he is afraid that the Vampire Master is at his door or if he carries the knowledge that the gang is, in fact, holding me as bait. That leaves me with a question, why on earth am I bait again?
The instant that I greet him, I have the gang members push past me, pointing the gun at the elder now. He only but laughs at him for he knows that nothing shall happen, but when I see whom as him by his arm, I know that the joke is on all of us.
My dear Stefan.
The boy has made his way here, and now we all seem to be bait. But where are these Hunters and the rest of the Vampires to help me?
Now unlike me, that does not want to expose my fangs, Stefan has no problem in doing it at all. As the gang member attempt to leave, he shuts the door and blocks their exit. Yes, it would be easy for me and the elder to run, but Stefan has a dagger in his hand, and I know that Lilith has taught him well.
All chaos is about to break loose.
The man that his gun in my side squeezes the trigger, and he lets the bullets rip loose on Stefan. Stefan only topples his head back as he laughs in pleasure. I watch as the horror in the man’s face grows as he and his fellow members keep on pumping bullets into Stefan. Then out of pure frustration, they break loose on me.
“Oh, no, you don’t, my friend. This is an Armani, and you just put a bullet into it.”
I launch forward as he tries to reload his gun, but I have him by the shirt. As I lift him in the air, he drops his gun and shouts out like a little girl for me to stop, “What the fuck are you, dude.”
“I told you the name is Lucas.”
Just then, my rescue team comes in from all directions, and a battle for the ultimate power begins.
Cassidy and Lilith take on the rest of the gang members. I watch as my beloved elegantly takes the man by the throat; as she wraps her fingers around his neck, her beautiful claws come out, and she snaps his neck.
I give her a little wink and turn my attention to Stefan and the elder. Now our only concern is Stefan, but if I thought he is the only one that is going to try and kill us, then we are sadly mistaken. The elder slides towards Dean and tries to claw at his chest. Dean shifts back, and as he gets out of the way, the elder rushes and slams his fist into Sam’s stomach. Sam topples over from pain, and as he does, the elder goes for Breyden and slices him open on his arm.
While this fight is going on, I see Stefan as he tries to get out the door. I glide over and block his exit immediately. I ram my fist in his chest, and he is driven back into the far side fall. The boy comes launching and tries to catch me off my feet. I knot my fingers in his shirt and toss him into a wall side cabinet that breaks into pieces.
Next, he comes charging at me, producing his dagger that he has picked up from the floor. He wildly swings it forward at me and catching me on the cheek. Out of irritation, I expose my fangs and snap at his neck. I am going to rip him to pieces; he will not leave here alive.
Before I make my next move, I watch as Dean drives a dagger through the elder’s chest and Cassidy kills the last of the gang members. They all conveniently step back and wait for me to deal with Stefan.
I growl deep from my throat and expose my fangs once again. My claws erupt out from my hands, and I feel a complete burning sensation shoot through my body. My eyes widen, and I feel as they become red hot. I am in absolute fury.
I snap the dagger out of Stefan’s hands and break it in half. I grab him by his shoulders and ram him against the wall with a loud thud. I can hear a crack and the wall split. Stefan cries out in agony as I rip him away and pin him to the floor. I sit over him and whisper in the ear, “You have messed with the wrong Vampire.”
I look on over to Dean that tosses me his dagger. I lift my hands up high, and as if in absolute slow motion, I start piercing his ribcage. Just as I drive it deep into his chest, he mumbles, “Your legacy is…”
Stefan is dead.
