The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart

Chapter 1006

"It was Ivy's idea."

Ivy had found someone she truly loved, someone who had swept her off her feet from the very first meeting. They were a perfect match, socially and financially.

Ivy had already discussed it with the royal family. Being favored, marrying Dominic was a compromise for her, and now she wanted to pursue true love. The royal family would never publicly announce a divorce.

Ivy saw this as an opportunity to break away from the royal family. When Dominic heard the news, he supported her decision, and they both reached a mutual agreement. "However, I might not be able to give you a lavish wedding for a few years."

Even if Ivy were declared dead to the public, as her husband in name, Dominic would still be under scrutiny. It would take some time for the attention to fade.

Estelle shook her head. “That's okay. As long as I'm with you, the wedding doesn't matter."

"So come home with me this weekend?"

Estelle nodded. "I'm just worried your mother might not like me."

"She doesn't dislike you; she just needs some time to come around," Dominic whispered. "She watched you grow up. She cares about you."

Estelle hugged him tightly, feeling relieved. "I'm just glad you're still by my side."

Her parents, her brother, all had left her one by one. Only Dominic remained steadfastly by her side.

"And our baby." Dominic kissed her gently. "Estelle, we both love you so much. Take care of yourself, okay?"

Estelle felt a tearful pinch at her nose.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

The Hartman family, upon learning about Ivy's intent to divorce, wanted to intervene, but it was already too late.

Indigo Hartman made a big fuss, while Dominic stood firm, kneeling on the ground.

"You asked me to marry Ivy, and I did. Now that she wants to pursue true love, why hold me back?"

"Dominic, you know Estelle is penniless now. Even if you divorce Ivy, you could have better options!"

"I don't need them," Dominic said firmly. "I will only be with Estelle for the rest of my life. If you don't agree to our marriage, then I will have to leave the Hartman family." Indigo threw a cup at him. "Have you lost your mind?"

He dared to speak such words for just a woman?

Despite being hit and bleeding, Dominic stood his ground. "I

forever. My marriage to Ivy was

already a betrayal. I can't faither

again... or our unborn child.

"A child?"

"Yes, Estelle is pregnant." Dominic's gaze was resolute. "Grandfather, I can abide by all your decisions, but not this one. Please forgive my disobedience."

Seeing her son in such a state, Mrs.

Hartman couldn't bear it. "Father please just agree to Dominic and Estelle's union. The royal family broke off the engagement; no one can blame us."

Indigo, face ashen, thought of the child Estelle was carrying and finally conceded. "She may enter our home but no wedding, and no entry into the family records!"

A disgraced heiress entering their home would be the talk of the town!

"That's not possible," Dominic shook his head. "I want my wife and child to have it all-the wedding, the family records! But I can delay the wedding until the attention dies down." This was his biggest compromise.

Dominic had always been obedient and capable, the pride of the Hartman family. Seeing his determination, Indigo had no choice but to compromise.

"Alright, I agree."

Dominic, overjoyed, thanked his grandfather for his blessing.

Indigo waved him away. "Leave now."

Staying there was just an eyesore to him.

Dominic and Ivy had already signed the divorce papers, and he had arranged for servants to care for Estelle around the clock.

Mrs. Hartman was not fond of

Estelle, but seeing her in discomfort and pregnant, and remembering her own past struggles, her heart softened. She visited Estelle several times, even personally cooked a meal for her.
