Chapter 498
On Tuesday morning, when Charles exited the underground parking garage, Ronald immediately fell into step beside him. "Mr. Hoffman, I've mostly taken care of the matter you asked me to handle. Suzy has now gone to the film studio to work with Winter."
Charles paused briefly, a glimmer flashing in his eyes before he curved his lips. "What did Suzy say?"
"She seems a bit impatient and wants to get revenge on Winter right away."
"Didn't she ask why you were helping her?" Charles took the notebook from Ronald, furrowing his brows slightly as he saw the emails. "Any movement from Kerlsberg?"
"Mr. Hunter doesn't seem to be making any moves," Ronald reported, then hesitated. "Ms. Anderson appears to have gone to Kerlsberg as well." Ronald carefully observed Charles' expression as he mentioned the name 'Ms. Anderson', but seeing no reaction, he continued, "It's unclear why Ms. Anderson went to Kerlsberg. Mr. Hoffman, should we have someone keep an eye on her?"
"No need." Charles waved his hand, indicating Ronald should not interfere for now. "Just keep watching Mr. Hunter."
Ronald added, as if remembering something, "Oh, Mr. Hoffman. Becky called this morning, saying Ms. Baker has arrived."
Charles suddenly stopped at the elevator doors, a sharp light flashing in his eyes. "Which Ms. Baker?"
"Your Uncle Milo's daughter, Ms. J Baker. She came early this morning, brought by Mr. Mateo." Ronald gulped nervously when he noticed the alarming look in Charles' eyes. "Mr. Mateo's intention is for Ms. Baker to be your secretary starting today."
Charles said nothing, but the murderous aura emanating from him was enough to frighten anyone.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
Ronald followed Charles all the way to the office on the 27th floor. Sure enough, as soon as the elevator doors opened, they saw J standing there, as if she had been waiting for a long time.
J looked at Charles in his well-tailored suit, which accentuated his handsome figure, making it hard for anyone to look away.
Her eyes were full of admiration as
she rushed toward him. She reached out to take his arm, but Charles' intimidating gaze made her
withdraw. Still, she could not look away. "Good morning, Charles!"

Charles asked coldly, "Who told you to come here? I thought I made myself clear yesterday."
Charles glanced at Ronald. "Call security to escort Ms. Baker out."
"Charles, you can't treat me like this. Yes, you said yesterday that non-Colossus Group employees
aren't allowed in, but I'm an

employee now. Look!" J pulled
out her work ID, waving it in front of
Charles.

"See, Uncle Mateo gave this to me. He said I'm your secretary starting today. We'll be able to spend some time together now," J said happily, oblivious to Charles' displeased expression.
She stepped forward, matching
Charles' pace. "Charles, I know
you're busy and don't have time for me, but now that I'm at the company, I'll have plenty of time to
be with you. Aren't you happy about that?"
As J's chattering continued, Charles turned around impatiently, fixing her with a sharp look. "It seems you're not only shameless but also an
idiot."
