Chapter 1751
Chapter 1751
Frank was not aware that Cologne Court had been torched, though he did not have the time to worry about it at the moment.
He stood between the bomb and Gavin Lane to save the man from the brunt of the explosion-it was fortunate that his physique was of the Transcendent rank, or he would be left in pieces.
However, being able to stop the shockwave did not mean that Frank could nullify the blast, as it rushed into the air and left a mushroom cloud. Even as Gavin was left stunned by what Frank did, the force of the explosion rocked the building, and it started to crumble.
Still, aside from the finger Horey Lindt cut off, Gavin only sustained some cuts and bruises.
In other words, his injury was not all that serious overall speaking.
"Frank! Frank!" Gavin cried, endlessly anxious as Frank lay in the debris, barely breathing.
He did not expect Frank to stay with him even as the bomb went off, even taking the blow for him so that he came out relatively unscathed.
The sight of Frank covered in only rags and burnt all over left Gavin flustered, at a loss for what to do.
"Help... Help!!!" he yelled across all directions, hoping for someone who would come to Frank's aid.
However, it was late into the night, and the building was long since abandoned, so yelling did not help much... aside from waking Frank up. "Oof..."
Frank gasped, feeling the burning anguish in his belly and piecing together what had happened.
He could not help swearing under his breath-Horey was as cunning as she was brutal! Where could she have gotten a bomb of such yield?
If his physique was not that resilient, the bomb would really have killed him.
He looked up, sighing feebly as he glanced at the rags that were his clothes, as well as the circle of ash around his stomach and the bare flesh exposed.
It did not kill him, but it still maimed him and stopped him from moving.
Even so, his mind remained focused on his top priority: Horey.
He was certainly frustrated, as he did not expect Horey to escape under these circumstances.
With someone as cunning and
relentless as Horey, not to mention bearing a serious grudge against Frank, she would cause him endless trouble if he allowed her to flee.
The thought left Frank exasperated, but at this point he had to consider other options.
After all, he would never give away the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom, as it was a contingency that his mentor had prepared for him.
"Frank... You're alive?!"
Gavin was as shocked as he was delighted to see Frank open his eyes.
He hurried up, helping Frank to his feet.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
Frank was left gritting his teeth as he withstood the pain in his stomach and nodded at Gavin.
"Let's just go home," he then said, surprised how hoarse his own voice was.
"Yes... Yes, yes!"
Gavin was sobbing despite being
man in his fifties, and he gently helped Frank out of the rubble and slowly helped him limp outside.
"Brother!"
Scarface, who heard the crash, arrived and took the weakened Gavin's hands while

Gavin's voice was choking with tears. "You know Frank? He took the bomb to save me..."
He could not be blamed for being a mess, as Gavin knew that Frank was the son of the famous Lord of the Southern Woods!
