The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2141

Alda promptly told Frank, but he was not surprised.

In fact, he was not concerned at all. "If she could kidnap you and bring you here, it's natural that she's watching!"

Alda nodded in understanding-both she and Sylvie were important people, and Sally must be a big deal too if she could bring them here without raising alarm bells.

Still, she asked, "In that case, doesn't that mean we're all her prisoners for the rest of our lives?"

Frank flicked her on the forehead. "No one's holding you prisoner when I'm around. I'm here as her partner, and I'll make her pay if she ever rubs me the wrong way!"

Alda sighed in relief. That was true—with Frank's strength, who would ever dare to mess with him?

"Well said!"novelbin

That was when Sally appeared out of nowhere, applauding, "That's a man of destiny. Even the way he talks is different!"

Even with Frank at her side, Alda could not help leaning closer to him as she was earnestly creeped out by Sally's fake smile.

"Calm down. The man beside you is much scarier than I am," Sally teased, noticing her reaction.

However, she felt her own sinister intentions brewing.

Alda was an heiress, but she had never met anyone as vile as Sally, and she turned aside while clinging to Frank's arm. Frank snapped, "Out with it already!"

Sensing that Alda was repulsed, he was not interested in banter either.

"Oh, it's no big deal... I'd just like you to come with me!"

Frank got up, ready to leave, only for Alda to catch him again, shaking her head.

She knew that he was strong and could face any obstacles on his own, but she had her female intuition too.

If anything happened to him, it would be over for all of them!

Frank clapped Alda on the shoulder, assuring her, "It's fine. She wouldn't dare!"

With that, he followed Sally down the hill, getting into an old Passat and drove toward town.

Sally was chugging champagne as she drove, speaking unintelligibly, "I'm surprised you're so lucky with women. Both Alda and Sylvie are genuinely in love."

Frank kept staring outside the window, ignoring her.

It did not embarrass Sally, however, and she even teased, "To be honest, I'm now interested too!"

"If you were, then why would you lie to me?" Frank asked coolly.

"What?" Sally asked, playing dumb. "When did I ever?"

Frank snorted. "Don't think I couldn't hear what you said. There's no going back now now, and I won't let you off

easy for your mother's sake. In fact,

I'll respectfully treat you as my enemy and go all out to destroy you!"

Sally shrugged. "Go all out? I'd like to see you try!"

Just as she finished, the semi on the opposite lane turned and came bounding down the road at the Passat.

Sally tried to spin the wheel, but it did not budge no matter how hard she tried!

She thought of the parking brake, but that would be suicidal!

"Both the brakes and the steering are out. What should we do?!" She had no choice but to yell out to Frank.

Still, just before the cars crashed, Frank caught her wrist, opened the door, and leapt out from his seat.
