The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 529

Leo was at a loss for words after being scolded. He used to harbor resentment from being told to do the cleaning task, and he was itching to pick a fight with Matthew.

Later, Matthew saved Leo, along with Dominic and Lucien. That was when Matthew won Leo over, and Leo started following Matthew's order without question.

Right then, Brad was chewing Leo out, and he felt pretty wronged. "You told me to work with him, but he won't let us do anything except cleaning up."

Brad coldly grunted. "Whatever. I'm done with this. Tell him to stop making things harder for me." With that, Brad ended the call.

Just as Brad put away his phone, his phone started ringing again. He answered the call and put the phone to his ear. Then, he suddenly shot up to his feet with his expression tensed up.

After hanging up, Brad started pacing around. The look on his face was more solemn than before.

Hugh looked puzzled. "What's going on?"

Brad stopped in his tracks. "Horace called back everyone he sent to search for Isaac. They were gathering in the southern suburbs, and it seemed like something big was going down."noveldrama

Hugh shook his head. "Is it really that big of a deal? Do you need to get so worked up? I thought we were dealing with an invasion."

Brad looked solemn. "Horace is on a flight to Lambda City."

What the hell? Hugh's expression instantly changed drastically. "He needs to report it if he's leaving the war zone. What's he up to? What on earth happened?"

Brad suddenly thought of something. "Has the word about Isaac's death gotten out? This is bad. He's in danger. Horace will stop at nothing to kill him this time."

After saying that, Brad dialed Leo's number again.

Leo had barely recovered from the earlier scolding. When he pulled out his phone and saw Brad calling, he immediately stood upright, like a student who'd been caught misbehaving.

"Mr. Miles-" However, Leo barely managed to say anything before being cut off. Brad sounded anxious and uneasy. "Q-quick. Get Matthew on the phone. Hurry."

Leo was dumbfounded by the question. "He's not here. I think he went to the psychiatric hospital. Trevor went with him. They're probably waiting outside for the cleanup task."

Waiting to do some cleaning? Upon hearing Leo's words, Brad found his facial muscles twitching involuntarily. Trevor was a proper soldier, yet he was standing by for a cleaning job?

...

The security room at Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital was like an arena. At the center was a ring enclosed by ropes, where two hefty men were duking it out.

All the security guards at Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital had their eyes glued to the match in the ring.

Clint Ferguson crossed his arms, watching the fight in the ring with a pleased expression. He used to compete in mixed martial arts and karate competitions.

Dallas eventually noticed Clint and

hired him as a personal bodyguard. He also worked part-time as the security captain at Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital. The security guards he hired had some kind of combat experience.

He came up with the idea of this ring yesterday. In the contest, the last place would be eliminated. Once the eliminated person was fired, he'd hire a new person.

The outcome was decided in no time. Clint walked up to the guard, who had lost the match, with a resignation letter he had prepared earlier.

"Since you lost, sign it and leave."

ет

The defeated guard had a hard time accepting it in the few months I've been here, worked without complaint, patrolling and never once slacking off. Last holiday, you all took time off, and I was the only one on night duty."

Clint impatiently snapped, "Cut the nonsense! Just sign it and scram."

The guard was reluctant. "What about my paycheck for this month?"

Clint threw a Snide remark. "You've only worked three days this month, so there's no salary for you. And remember, you're the one who got eliminated. If you don't want trouble, sign the papers and get out of here."

The guard noticed the menacing look in Clint's eyes and the hostility in Clint's words. So, he didn't dare press the issue. After signing the paper, he hurriedly walked off.

Holding the resignation letter, Clint gathered all the security guards and led them in a line to find Dallas to claim credit.

Yesterday, he told Dallas that he'd eliminated those in the last place for the guard hiring process.

Dallas promised to reward him with 10 thousand dollars when he managed to implement the elimination method for the guards.

Feeling excited, Clint pictured the bonus Dallas had promised as he made his way to the basement floor.
