The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

Not Her Father

Chapter 64 Not Her Father

“I’m sure she’s fine. You and I know Raven that she isn’t like all other ladies who would be scared, but she’s brave and strong.

She’s gonna be fine. You on the other hand need to shower and relax while we plan tomorrow morning and then execute our plan.” Alfonso said.

Alfredo looked at Alfonso, feeling grateful for his brother’s support. “You’re right,” he said. “I need to clear my head. I’ll shower and try to get some rest. Tomorrow is going to be a big day.”

“That’s the spirit,” Alfonso said, patting him on the back. “We’ll get through this, and we’ll come out stronger on the other side.”

With that, Alfredo went to the bathroom to shower and clear his mind. He knew that he needed to be at his best tomorrow, for himself and for Raven.

As Alfredo stood under the hot water, he let the events of the day wash over him. He couldn’t believe that Raven was in danger, and he was determined to do whatever it took to save her. He couldn’t imagine a world without her in it.

Once he was clean and dressed, he decided to rest on his bed and relax his mind.

But his mind kept on drifting back to Raven.

Why did she choose to sacrifice her own life to help Carlos family? I mean she would have accepted the opportunity to get her father out of there, but why did she choose to save Carlos family and risk her own life and her father?

What if something happens to her? Would he be able to live with himself for accepting her decision not to trade Carlos family for the woman he loves?

Alfredo’s mind was racing, and he knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep until he had some answers. He got up from the bed and started pacing the room, trying to clear his head.

After a while, he sat back down and decided to write down his thoughts, hoping that it would help him make sense of everything.

He picked up a pen and a piece of paper, and started writing down all the questions that were swirling around in his head. “Why did Raven do it?” he wrote.

Alfredo sat there for a moment, staring at the page in front of him. He realized that the answer to that question was more complicated than he had originally thought. He picked up the pen again and started writing.

“I think Raven did it because she believes in doing the right thing, even when it’s hard.

She believes in protecting the innocent, even if it means putting herself in danger. I think she believes that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, no matter what they’ve done.

Or could there be another reason to why she chose to stay behind?

It’s like she was waiting for something to happen. But what?

“What are you hiding, Raven?” Alfredo ask himself as he played with his pen while deep in thoughts.

He knew that Raven wanted to rescue and get out of Ramos grip so badly, but why change mind all of a sudden and not want to leave but instead chose to save a family and sacrifice her own?

There is really something going on and he intends to find out.

Alfredo considered all the different possibilities. Maybe Raven knew something that he didn’t.

Maybe she had a plan that he couldn’t see. Or maybe, he thought with a sinking feeling in his stomach, she had a reason to stay that he couldn’t even imagine.

His mind was racing, and he couldn’t make sense of it all. He tried to think about what Raven would do in his position, but he couldn’t be sure.

She was so much stronger and braver than he was, and he couldn’t help but feel a little bit inadequate.

Then he heard a soft knock on the door that brought his mind back to reality.

Alfredo got up and opened the door to see Carlos wife standing outside.

“Mrs. Carlos. What are you doing here?” Alfredo asked.

“Well, can I come in for I want to discuss something with you.” she said.

Alfredo was taken aback, but he stepped aside and let Mrs. Carlos into the room. He closed the door and turned to face her. “What can I help you with?” he asked.

Mrs. Carlos hesitated for a moment, then said, “I know that you and Raven tried to save my husband before Ramos killed him. And I do wish to thank her for it, but I’m afraid about what Ramos would do to her.

“What do you mean?” Alfredo asked.

“Whatever Ramos wants is right there in his mansion.” she said.

“What are you talking about?” Alfredo asked.

“I’m saying the information is seeking is about something that he doesn’t know is right under his roof.” she said.

Alfredo looking more confused.

“Mrs. Carlos, I need you to tell me what you know… Raven’s life and the life of her father depends on the information.”

“I thought you said that you didn’t want to know. Why are you suddenly interested in knowing..?” she asked him.

“Because I just couldn’t understand why Raven would gladly sacrifice her own life to save others when she knew that she could die and her father could die as well.” Alfredo said.

“Because she intentionally stayed behind because she knew that Ramos wouldn’t be able to kill her yet.

She knows that Ramos could be ruthless and wicked, but he enjoys watching people suffer and do whatever he wants to protect their family.”Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Alfredo was taken aback by this revelation. “Do you mean to say that Raven let herself remain in Ramos captivity on purpose?” he asked, unable to believe what he was hearing.

Mrs. Carlos nodded. “Yes,” she said.

“She knew that the only way to get to Ramos was to let him think he had the upper hand. By allowing herself to remain under his captivity.

She knew that he would think that he has won and that’s when she would strike.

Raven has a plan up her sleeve, Alfredo.”

“She is no just ordinary defenseless girl.

She is tougher that you know.”

“Wait… how do you know all this?” Alfredo asked.

“Because she reminds me so much like her father.” she said.

“Mr. Salavador?” Alfredo asked.

“No.” she said.

“Mr. Salavador isn’t her real father.”

“What?!” Alfredo asked.

Mrs. Carlos looked at him, a sad smile on her face. “You didn’t know?” she asked. “I thought you were aware.”

“No,” Alfredo said. “This is all new to me. How is Mr. Salavador not her real father?”

“Mr. Salavador is her uncle,” Mrs. Carlos said.
