The Mafia’s Third Wife: Between The Devil’s Triangle

Struck Between A Rock

Chapter 49 Struck Between A Rock

You have killed all my men remember and brought me here to reveal where I kept my stuffs.

You threatened to hurt my daughter if I don’t. I promised I’ll reveal it, but now you are looking for my family? It means you allowed someone take my family right under your watch.

So Ramos, since my family is no longer at your mercy, I Carlos, will never reveal anything to you!”

Ramos’s face turned purple with rage. “You’re really going to play hardball, huh?” he said, his voice low and threatening.

“Fine. If you won’t tell me, I’ll just have to take matters into my own hands. I’ll find your family, and when I do, I’ll make sure you never see them again.”

A surge of fear washed over Carlos, but he forced himself to stay strong. He would not let Ramos win.

“You won’t find them,” he said, his voice steady. “Because they’re safe, and they’re not going to tell you anything.”

Ramos narrowed his eyes, clearly not pleased with Carlos’s response. “We’ll see about that,” he said, and then he turned to his men.

“Bring all my torturing tools and fast.”

“I will get you to talk, Carlos. You’ll tell me if it was the Sanchez brothers who saved your family.”

As the men hurried off to follow Ramos’s orders, Carlos’s mind raced. The Sanchez brothers – he knew who they were.

They were a notorious crime family, and they were known for their ruthlessness. But, he was surprised that it was the same notorious crime family that offered to take his family to safety away from Ramos grip. So that he won’t use it to get him to talk.

“No matter what you do to me, Ramos, I will not tell you anything.” Carlos said.

As Ramos heard this, he smiled. “Oh, but you will,” he said. “You’ll do whatever I say, or your family will suffer the consequences. And you’ll have to live with the knowledge that it’s your fault.”

A shiver ran down Carlos’s spine. He didn’t want to imagine what would happen to his family if he didn’t cooperate.

But at the same time, he couldn’t betray the people who had helped him. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

But he still told himself that he would never reveal the people who helped his family nor the whereabouts of his family even if they kill him.

“You see, I know the Sanchez brother helped you rescue your family. I told my guards to stand down and watch from a distance because I wanted to find out who would come to your family’s rescue and lo and behold they came.

But you see, my men sent someone to follow them and so I know where your family is Carlos and my men are on their way there right now as we speak to kill them so you will tell me what I want!” Ramos said.

“I think you are bluffing Ramos. You’re good at bluffing especially when you don’t have what you want. I’ll say it again. I don’t know anything.” Carlos said.

“You may not know now,” Ramos said, his eyes cold and hard. “But you will soon. Because once my men find your family, you’ll tell me anything to save them. And even if you don’t, I’ll find what I want. I always do.”

Carlos could feel his heart pounding in his chest, and his palms were sweating. He didn’t want to believe that Ramos could do this to his family.

But he knew that Ramos was capable of anything. And he couldn’t bear the thought of his family being harmed.

“I don’t know anything Ramos.” Carlos said.

“You know…. Ramos, you think you are so bad and no one can handle you, but I know that someone who is braver than any of us, would one day bring you down and show you that all these power and money you have can not save your life.

You Ramos, are a pitiful loser who hides under the skin of power and wealth to do your dirty bidding. You’ll always be alone without anyone to trust.”

“Don’t think you can play games with me, boy,” Ramos snarled. “I’ve seen your type before. You think you’re brave and strong, but you’re just a fool who’s going to get himself killed. I’ll make sure of it.”

But Carlos stood his ground. “I’m not afraid of you,” he said, his voice calm and steady. “You can try to scare me, but I won’t be intimidated. And I won’t betray the people who helped me.Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

“You’re so brave, standing up to me like this,” Ramos said, a sneer on his face. “But your bravery won’t save you. And it certainly won’t save your family. I’ll get what I want, one way or another.”

“You’ll have to kill me first,” Carlos said. “And even then, you won’t get what you want. Because it’s not with me.”

“You think you’re so smart, don’t you?” Ramos said, his voice rising in anger. “But I’m smarter than you. I’ll find what I’m looking for.

Ramos leaned in close to Carlos, so close that Carlos could feel his breath on his face. “I’m warning you, boy,” Ramos said, his voice low and menacing.

“Don’t try to outsmart me. It won’t end well for you. Or for your family.”

Carlos held his ground, but he could feel his heart beating in his chest. He was scared, but he knew he couldn’t show it.

“You can threaten me all you want,” he said, keeping his voice steady. “But I won’t give in.”

“You’re a fool,” Ramos said, his eyes flashing with rage. “I have all the power here. I can do whatever I want to you and your family. You have no idea what I’m capable of.”
