The Sway and Slide of Love

Chapter 536

"What time is your flight tomorrow? I'm pretty busy, so I might not be able to give you a ride to the airport," Seline asked Noelle, glancing at Dylan as she spoke.

She couldn't make it more obvious what she was hinting at, so Dylan immediately said, "I'll take you and Rosie to the airport, Noelle. What time should I pick you up?"

Noelle took a deep breath and said, "It's fine. We can just take a taxi."

"Let me do it. After all, who knows when we'll see each other again?" Dylan said with a hint of resentment in his tone.

Seline clicked her tongue. "He's right, Noelle. You made this decision so suddenly that we didn't even have time to process it."

Noelle could only smile helplessly.

Just then, Dylan suddenly remembered something and proceeded to hand over the shopping bag he was holding to Rosie. "This is for you."

Rosie glanced at the delicate pink packaging, then looked at Noelle.

Noelle immediately recognized the logo on the shopping bag. The gift was clearly too extravagant for a child.

Just as she was thinking of how to politely decline the gift, someone said, "What a coincidence!"

Seline was the first to turn her head, and when she saw who it was, she nearly spat out her drink. She still remembered that not too long ago, the woman right in front of her had cheated on Hendrix.

Angela was just some second-rate influencer. Sure, she had some looks, but in Coppersville, that wasn't anything special. So, Seline had naturally assumed that once Hendrix found out about what she did, he'd dump her without a second thought. But he didn't.

And now, standing beside Angela was none other than Hendrix himself.

Angela was even holding onto his arm, the two of them looking every bit like a close couple.

Seline immediately felt like something was stuck in her throat, making it hard to breathe.

"Mr. Freeman, truly a coincidence." Dylan stood up quickly and extended his hand.

Hendrix shook it. "Yes, quite."

As soon as he finished speaking, Seline rolled her eyes and looked at Noelle across the table.noveldrama

But Noelle acted as if nothing had happened. She simply kept her head down and continued eating her food quietly.

Seline couldn't help but kick her under the table. Noelle paused slightly, then silently moved her leg away. Seline was so angry that she wanted to throw her fork down.

Meanwhile, Angela cheerfully suggested, "Since it's such a coincidence, why don't we all share a table together? After all, the more, the merrier."

Seline was about to say she didn't want to eat with her when the restaurant manager, with a smile, informed them that they had been moved to a private room with a

larger table.

"I think it's fine here," Seline said. "Besides, aren't you on a date? Wouldn't you

prefer some alone time? We wouldn't want to intrude."

"It's no intrusion," Hendrix replied bluntly.

Seline was left speechless. Just as she was about to say more, Dylan suddenly smiled and said, "We might as well share a table since it's not every day we run into each other like this."

And so, they moved from the main dining area to a private room. Their food was brought to the table with new ones added to the center. But the sizzling hot steam rising from the food was in stark contrast to the stiff, awkward silence in the room.

Angela sat directly across from Seline, but her gaze didn't linger on her. Instead,

she kept glancing at Noelle, both openly and subtly.
