Meanwhile, Liam and Leia became vigilant when they saw that scene.

"What are they doing?" Liam walked past the guests enjoying the fun and stood between Alexander and the two guards. He faked a smile and said, "We're the guests you invited sincerely. Is this how the Baldwin family treats their guests?"

"Guests?" Austin got off the stage and strode toward them. Although he was smiling, coldness gleamed in his eyes. "Have you ever seen any guest steal the hostess?"

"You can't say that, Sir Baldwin..." Liam smiled and added, "How could you be sure that it must be the Hunt family?"

"Who else could it be?"

"This is just your guess. They've always been here. Even if they wanted to do that, they couldn't. So... You should act fair and square, given your noble identity. Shouldn't you find fault with the culprit instead? Isn't that more reasonable?"

Liam looked at Austin. Although he was younger and came from a family weaker than the Baldwin family, he was still domineering.

Besides, his reasons made Austin seem overbearing and rude.

"We'll know whether it's reasonable or not once I get to the bottom of this! In the meantime, I'll keep the two of them at my home for fun for two days. I'm sure this is fine." Fierceness gleamed in Austin's eyes as he threatened, "Your family is used to peaceful days. I'm sure you don't want to get into this mess."

"Of course." Liam put his palms together, looking humble but tough. "I just feel that Renee wouldn't want to burden innocent people because of her. So, I'm here to say something rational..."

Then, he looked at the guests. "What do you guys think? We can't get violent the minute we fall out with each other, can we?"noveldrama

The guests sensibly looked somewhere else and tried not to meet Liam's gaze. They pretended to be very busy.

After all, it was the critical time to pick sides. They would become enemies with either the Baldwin or Hunt family regardless of which side they picked. Hence, it would be best to remain neutral and act as an onlooker.

"See? No one finds this inappropriate. What I did is considered fair, too," Austin sneered, spreading his hands. With a fierce expression, he ordered solemnly, "Take them away!"

Alexander and Francine were rudely forced out of the hall. As there was a live broadcast in the hall, Austin's action was a counterattack against the Hunt family. He wanted nothing but to force Stefan to come and return Renee to his family.

When Justin arrived at the makeup room and found no sight of Renee, he became desperate.

The makeup artist who had fainted just now had returned to consciousness. Terrified, she kept retreating. "Mr. Baldwin, what happened? Is your engagement ceremony with Ms. Everheart over?"

"How could you have the nerve to ask me that?" Justin became teary and irrational. He

gripped her neck. "Did you conspire with Mr. Hunt to take her away?"

"Ah, Mr. Baldwin! What are you talking about? I don't understand!"

The makeup artist was dumbfounded and scared. She couldn't understand why everything had changed when she had just dozed off a bit.

"Her gown was customized. How could it fail to fit her? You must have used that excuse to send me away and let Mr. Hunt come in!" Justin roared.

Justin kept tightening his grasp; he wanted nothing but to break her neck.

As he recalled the affair, he remembered some hidden clues. Yet, he was fooled by everyone like a dumb person. He couldn't afford to be tricked repeatedly, no matter how calm and composed he was. This concerned his dignity as a man!
