Chapter 2593
I could understand Brian's impatience at the moment. Life would be difficult for him now that he had won the land in North Courts at such a high price.
After a moment of silence, I slowly started, "Chairman Wagner, trust me one more time. We won't develop this land for now. Instead, we'll sell it at a high price when the market picks up."
Hearing this, Brian's face turned blue and white in alternation. He looked like he was in disbelief.
He wiped his face. "Wanda Lane, do you know what you're talking about?"
"I do. I also know you won't be able to take in any of this now, but I would like for you to trust me again."
Brian lowered his head, a whisper of a smile on the corners of his lips. Immediately after, anger flashed across his face. "I'd be stupid to believe you again. The market price of land in North Court is at most no more than 100 million. We already won this land by a whole lot more than that. Who will be stupid enough to buy it from us?"
I remained calm in the face of his forceful questioning and glanced sideways at Tyler. He immediately understood, stood up, and pressed down Brian's shoulder to seat him. "Don't be angry. Let's talk about it properly."
"Chairman Wagner, you mentioned as well that we've already bought this land at a high price. If we proceed to develop it, we won't be able to get a turnaround in our funds. It won't be good for us to continue delaying North Courts at that time. We've done an analysis, and the best result would be for us to find a buyer and sell the land."
I spoke very slowly as I poured a cup of tea for Brian respectfully with a smile on my face. "You're worried since you've paid a high price, so I'll issue you a guarantee, Chairman Wagner. I'll definitely find a buyer, and they'll definitely pay more than 190 million." Brian cradled his head. One could tell that he was in a difficult position right now.
He gestured with three fingers. "Three months, I'll only give you three months. If you don't find a buyer after three months, don't blame me for being ruthless."
In the end, Brian still chose to compromise.
As the situation stood, this was the only path he could take.
I nodded, making a solemn promise. "Okay, just three months."
"I'm on your boat. The Yards haven't come crumbling down, yet I'm already on board." Brian sighed. He must feel bad losing to Silas again this time.
I looked at him and said, "Don't worry, the Yards will suffer."
"That is all, then. I'll be leaving now. Don't forget your promise today." Brian got up and left the office after saying this.
Shannon walked up to me and looked at me worriedly. "Wanda, you have a reason for making this promise, right?"
After the lesson that was North Courts, Shannon was even more worried about every decision I made.
I did not answer her. Shannon
turned to look at Tyler. "You just cooperated with Wanda. Do you guys know any inside story about North Courts' land increasing in
value within the next three months?"
"I don't. I just went along with her."
Tyler's answer confused Shannon entirely. "You guys are really making hasty decisions. What if you don't find a suitable buyer in three
months? Brian Wagneron't
won't let us go then!" She paced back and forth anxiously.

theory, Shannon. Since I had
the guts to make that promise, d'i definitely find a way to make North Courts more valuable."
She glanced at my mysterious eyes with surprise on her face. I nodded to her, signaling for her to believe me. Seeing my confidence, she accepted. "Okay, then."
