The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2598

The next day, I showed up in the northern suburbs with Earl.

I kept paying attention to Earl's expression throughout the visit, but his expression was always heavy. Was he not satisfied?

Unease lingered in my heart. I accompanied Earl through the whole journey while feeling perturbed.

Finally, we reached the point we started, and I looked at Earl with eyes full of expectation as well as a trace of uncertainty. "Mr. Earl, what do you think?"

There was silence after I voiced my question.

Earl turned his gaze away and looked around. A sense of oppression enveloped me, and I was quickly forgetting how to breathe.

After a moment, Earl returned his gaze to me and immediately smiled. "Excellent. Much better than I imagined. I've already gotten people to take photos of the place and send them back. I trust everyone will be very pleased."

I covered my mouth in surprise, my entire state revealing how I felt. "Thank you for your confirmation. So, our cooperation..."

"Is smooth sailing. We'll sign the contract after my boss sends back the news. As for the price, we'll go with the figure that was discussed with Nibel earlier."

Nibel's previous offer was 250 million.

It far exceeded our expectations.

Nibel was right. This amount might be a lot for us, but it was a piece of cake for Earl. The value that he would create after that would be far more than that. "That's great. I hope to reach a partnership with you. Do you have any plans after this? Let me treat you to dinner."

"Sure."

I was about to lead Earl away when we received an unexpected guest.

Sylvester had brought two people here with him. I frowned. Why did they come here?

"You're an unusual visitor, President Yard." I stood in front of Earl.

He must have come for Earl.

Sure enough, Sylvester did not look at me but instead fixed his eyes on Earl with a smile on his face. "Hello, Mr. Earl. I'm Sylvester Yard from Yard Group." Earl looked at me before replying with a smile, "Mr. Yard, hello."

"I'm somewhat of an old friend of Miss Wanda. I rushed over after hearing that you were here. You look to be very satisfied with the northern suburbs, yes?" His question was so blunt as if I were not there.

I immediately intercepted his

conversation, my tone cold, "I wouldn't dare presume President Yard to be such a friend. I don't think Mr. Earl's satisfaction with the northern suburbs has anything to do with you, no?"

"I came with good intentions. I think you should want to consider the other options before making a decision to prevent feeling regret the future. You'll only know if

making a comparison. Isn't that right, Mr. Earl?" Sylvester talked over me, attuning his attention straight onto Earl.

Earl was stunned for a moment before he reacted. "You mean to say you have other options, Mr. Yard?"

"Of course. The location of our Astral Garden is much better than that of North Courts. I think it has more development value. Why don't you take it into consideration, Sir?"

"I've heard about the Astral Garden. I also heard that it has been bought and developed, so I didn't consider it."

I did not expect Earl to know about Astral Garden.

Hearing what he said, Sylvester's

smile grew wider. "We're actually the ones who bought Astral Garden. It's indeed under development, but we heard that you'll be buying land for construction. We're done with the layout for Astral Garden. You may take a look at it. Perhaps it's consistent with your idea."

He came prepared. He took out a tablet from the briefcase and handed it to Earl.

Earl accepted it and looked it over. Sylvester was looking at me with delight in his eyes.

I clenched my fists silently and gritted my teeth as I forced down my anger...
