The Woman From Hell

Chapter 2601

We finally got what we wanted. I successfully signed a contract with Earl and sold North Courts' development rights for 250 million. He handed me the check.

"Miss Wanda, I hope to have the opportunity to work with you again in the future."

"It would be my honor. I think we might have a chance."

Earl needed to go back to make his report after signing the contract. Nibel and I sent him to the airport. The two of them were reluctant to leave each other as if they were a couple. It made me feel like a third-wheeler.

After watching Earl go in, Nibel turned around and notes the ambiguity in my eyes. He immediately explained, "Don't misunderstand. Earl and I are very good friends."

"I understand, but it surprises me that you two are good friends despite the age difference."

"Capable people are sympathetic to one another."

A foreigner like him actually said something like this.

A smile appeared on the corners of my mouth as I walked up to his side. "Theo is also a capable person. Why do you want to make him an enemy of yours?"Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

My words stopped Nibel in his tracks. He stood there with his hands in his pockets.

When I looked back at him, Nibel's smile faded, leaving only indifference.

"What's wrong?" I could not help but ask.

Nibel looked up at me. "That's why he's not the same person as me."

I frowned, not really understanding what he was saying. However, Nibel's expression had turned serious, and I did not dare ask further.

"Dear Miss Wanda, you promised me. Best not forget that promise."

"Of course not. Or you could use Delia again."

"That dunce?"

It was obvious he did not have a good opinion of Delia.

He used her at first, but now that she was worthless, he did not even try to pretend. Nibel was a cruel man.

I did not think so, however. "If you

want to deal with Theo, Delia's support is indispensable. You must know that she's the closest person to Theo now."

"Oh? Why do I think it's you instead?"

Nibel's words stunned me as he approached me. "What?"

He laughed lightly. "Am I wrong? Do you think he'll keep Delia by his side the moment he finds out the story behind her pregnancy?

"What's more, you've already discovered her identity and some information against her, haven't you?"

Every single one of Nibel's words

struck my heart. I had

underestimated him. He knew what I

was thinking, knew what I was in control of, and even understood all my actions and plans now

I pursed my lips. Did he guess all that? That would make him too powerful. What a terrifying man.

"How do you know that?"

"If you want to defeat the enemy, you must know their every move including those of his closest people." Nibel looked at me, the smile on the corners of his mouth deepening. en FindNovel

I gulped. His expression made me feel really heavy.

"If you know all this, why still work with me?"

"I already told you at the beginning. It's because you understand Theo Grant."

"I do. But if you already know the truth, then you should know that we—"

Nibel smiled slowly. "I do. But I'm confident that you'll help me."

"That's because you owe me for the Yards. You can return the favor by helping me defeat Theo Grant. Then, we're even."

A favor in exchange for another. It sounded so fair.

"Miss Wanda, this act of yours with Theo should be over now," Nibel said with a smile.
