Chapter 204 Interrogation
Chapter 204 Interrogation
After hanging up the video call, Andrew knocked on the door of Harrison's room.
Harrison was not surprised by his grandson's arrival.
"Are you here to question me just for William?"
Harrison knew his grandson well. He was young, impulsive, and loyal.
The Floyd family had sold the shares of the Duncan Group, which caused the stock prices to fluctuate,
so Andrew had to question him in person.
Harrison had already prepared an excuse, waiting from morning to now.
"Grandpa, I want to marry Sophia."
Beyond Harrison's expectations, Andrew did not mention the stock.
In his opinion, he should give a promise to his woman. But as a man, he didn't dare to promise or even
feared that he was incapable to do it.
"Impossible!"
Harrison took a sip of tea and he looked displeased.
Because of the illegitimate daughter of the Carts, he brought shame to the Floyds! Sophia had a
miscarriage and committed suicide, which led to the headlines of the newspaper and gossip for the
whole city.
Marrying a demon at this time would make the Floyds even more shameful.
"You are the heir of the Floyds, so the daughter-in-law must be the fair lady of a decent family."
This was one reason. The other was to bring benefits to the Floyds.
Harrison didn't say the last sentence. These were just the rules of the rich family.
"What will a fair lady do? If I marry a vicious woman like Daisy, the Floyds will never have peace!"
Andrew had always respected Harrison and rarely replied defiantly. However, when he thought of
Daisy, he could not help but speak it out.
"What's wrong with Daisy? If Sophia didn't get married but gave birth to a child, she has no name but a
little bastard. The Floyds don't need an illegitimate child."
Grandpa saw his grandson shaking his head. He was too impulsive and had no further improvements.
For the Floyds, interests were above all else. There was a weirdo like Andrew, who had been taught to
take benefits as the first since he was young. But it didn't work on him.
Harrison was tired. But he thought about holding on and gradually educated him.
"Let's take a step back. Your father has an illegitimate child. Are you willing to share the family property
with him?"
It was realistic indeed. In the rich Family, illegitimate children were the most hated. Generally, women
spared no efforts to bear children. It was the shame of the rich.
Sophia was such a humiliation that she couldn't be the daughter-in-law of the Floyds.
"Does it mean that the Floyds will be honored if we find an evil woman?"
Andrew collapsed in his mind. His body swayed. It was impossible to marry Daisy. He would rather not
be the heir!
"You can abandon billions of family property just because of a woman. Is this what you want?"
In contrast, Harrison liked Daisy more, because she was smart, decisive, and capable.
If it was Daisy who aborted Sophia's child, Harrison would have more respect for her.
She was intentional, ruthless, and unscrupulous, which was exactly the character he liked.
"Grandpa, do you care so much about reputation? If I abandon Sophia, will the Floyds be honored?"
Andrew sat in the chair and rubbed his temples tiredly.
In just two days, there were too many things he had to face, leaving him no room for rest.
"So, you are responsible for the illegitimate daughter to achieve your reputation."
Harrison called her an illegitimate daughter, making it clear that he did not like Sophia.
His grandson was still young. But he was old to see different kinds of people in his entire life? Wasn't
he being forced by the illegitimate daughter?"
If Andrew didn't marry her, she would commit suicide again. It might give the Floyds more pressure
among the public.
Sophia indeed got some ways, but she couldn't be the woman on the table.
Harrison had once asked Keith, but he expressed an ordinary impression on this daughter and disliked
her for being a disgrace.
"Grandfather, I am responsible for love."
Andrew revealed a hint of determination. His blood was flowing in her body. In this life, she could not be
separated from him.
"Grandpa, I am here to show my determination."
Andrew closed his eyes as if he was waiting for the final trial, his muscles tensed up.
Harrison sighed. Love? Was there love in this society? The love between men and women was a form
of receiving money and power.
"There were some ways for you to marry Sophia."
Harrison pondered for a moment. What his grandson said made sense. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
The Floyds had suddenly sold the shares of the Duncan Group, causing its stock to fall like a cliff. They
were accused of being heartless.
People would attack the Floyds if the news that Sophia was abandoned by the Floyds were released at
this critical moment.
Humans are just so hypocritical. But sometimes they still had to pretend.
"What are the conditions?"
Andrew immediately opened his eyes. Grandpa gave him a chance!
Andrew didn't hold any hope, and both of them planned to get out of the Floyds. But who would have
thought that Harrison would set some agreements?
"I knew it. The Floyds suddenly sold the shares and made you feel sorry for William. But you have to
remember, we are businessmen."
Businessmen did not do charity, and interests were the most important. For many years, the Duncans
had been standing above the Floyds, and in his lifetime, Harrison did not want to sit on the second
chair anymore.
"So you betrayed Colin when he was sick?"
Andrew was in great pain. It was too inhumane. However, he admitted that this was a good opportunity.
"Even if we have been the second family for a long time, we are still stepping on others. Did the
Duncans not get the current status by stepping on the Floyds?"
When it came to this, Harrison was agitated.
No matter how powerful William was, he was just a little kid in his early thirties.
Colin was seriously ill, which gave the Floyds the best opportunity. God helped the Floyds.
"So what are your conditions?"
Andrew closed his eyes. He knew that Harrison would put forward some unacceptable conditions.
"I heard that you begged William and Jane for her, but Jane refused to testify."
Harrison took it as the opening words. If the two families had an opposing relationship, Andrew and
William could no longer be good friends.
When they met again, they would oppose each other.
"The Floyds once have done such a thing. William won't be nice to you, so don't make any indifferent
struggles."
Harrison made it very clear that he should officially cut off the relationship with William to avoid any
trouble in the future. He was afraid that his grandson would become an insider and send the news to
the Duncans.
If it was the innocent Andrew before, he would be able to do it.
"Okay, I agree."
Andrew took a deep breath and gritted his teeth.
From the moment they left the Duncans, they would have no connections any more. The two of them
became a parallel line that had no intersection.
At the very least, the old man had promised him that he would marry Sophia, and he was going to tell
Sophia the good news!
