Chapter 125 I Saw Her
After hearing the voice, Evan’s eyes turned cold as he asked, “Who are you?”
Caroline felt the urge to grumble, thinking, ‘Has he lost his mind? Why question the identity of a stranger?‘
“I don’t think we know each other, right? It’s rather rude to ask such a question.” Caroline responded.
Evan narrowed his eyes and changed his tone, saying, “My child attends this kindergarten. I have the right to question someone who hides their face and behaves strangely, especially for my son’s safety.”
Caroline was taken aback, thinking, ‘What a flawless excuse!‘
“I apologize.” Caroline said, “I have an allergic reaction, so I cover my face to avoid startling others. You can inquire with the principal if you wish to know who I am.”
With that, Caroline circled past him and left.
She had used a fake name and address on the application form, so she wasn’t concerned that Evan would uncover anything.
Evan’s expression turned solemn as he watched her silhouette depart.
To him, the woman felt like Caroline!
After leaving the kindergarten, Evan got into his car and instructed Reuben, “Look into the
students and their parents in Axel’s class.”
Reuben was surprised. “Is there a dangerous person, Mr. Jordan?”
“I saw her!” Evan murmured.
“Her?” Reuben was confused. “Who are you referring to, Mr. Jordan?”
“Caroline!” Evan replied.
Reuben was astounded. He reminded, “Mr. Jordan, it has been five years since Ms. Shenton’s
passing ”
“Did you see a corpse?” Evan stared at Reuben coldly from the rearview mirror.
Reuben answered, “No”
Evan scoffed “Paige sent Caroline’s body to be cremated on the night she passed away! If it really was Caroline, why didn’t Paige inform us about it?”
Reuben heaved a sigh.
For the past five years, Evan had repeatedly raised this matter. He had even hired people to watch over Paige, but they had found nothing so far.
Reuben witnessed Evan’s immense pain. Evan had spent nearly six months in a constant state of intoxication.
However, after Evan’s spirits lifted, he became fully engrossed in his work, sleeping no more than four hours a day.
Even after a year, he had only shown slight improvement. What could have gone wrong again?
Reuben did not dare to refute, so he nodded and said, “Yes, Mr. Jordan.” This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
At 9:00 a.m., Caroline arrived at TYC Fashion located at Dansea Street. She got out of her car and had an ineffable feeling as she looked at the building before her.
She purchased the building a year ago with 28,000,000 dollars, and she could finally operate the business now.
She would make the TYC brand known across the world one day!
rld one day!
Caroline walked into the building and checked every floor. The office facilities were already
prepared, so she would need to recruit staff members next.
Caroline made her way to the tenth floor and sat in her office before she made a call.
The call was picked up, and Caroline said smilingly, “Kenny, it’s time for you to fulfill your
promise.”
Kenny Hayes gasped and said, “G! Are you done with the preparation in just a year?”
“Yes, I’m just waiting for you.” Caroline made her way to the floor–to–ceiling window.
“Three days!” Kenny said excitedly, “I promise I will be there with a team!”
Kenny had an office in Muricia, and every staff member of his was highly skilled in their
professions.
Caroline highly valued their ability to choose fabric, and they had their own channels to procure the best quality materials.
Even her mentor, John, greatly appreciated them.
However, Caroline knew that admiration alone wouldn’t be enough to recruit Kenny to her team.
In a previous fashion design competition, Kenny’s design sketch was stolen, and the organizer
Thankfully, Caroline stepped in and advised Kenny to make some slight changes, saving his
professional career and hard–earned reputation of ten years.
With a chuckle, Caroline said, “Alright, I’ll wait for you.”
After the call, Caroline immersed herself in recruitment and headhunting tasks for three hours.
Just as she was about to order takeout, the preschool teacher called.
