Uncle's Love: My Sweet Little Wife

Chapter 166 Foodie, Can You Do It?

Chapter 166 Foodie, Can You Do It?

In Country M, James had been busy the whole day. Now that he could finally rest, he would like to talk

to her little girl Kara.

He called her twice, but she didn't pick up the phone. He frowned.

He didn't have the patience to call her for the third time. Instead, he opened the special app which he

used to hack her phone, wanting to track her call log.

His major was economic management, but he had minored in Computer Technology too. This kind of

thing was no big deal for him.

James sulked when he saw a familiar number.

'Damn it,' he thought, 'no wonder she was so attentive when I was on a business trip. She didn't even

resist when I kissed her.

'It turned out that I have disturbed her from flirting with another man!'

James became furious. He slammed his phone against the wall. The screen instantly broke into pieces.

As a result, he missed Kara's call when she wanted to explain herself.

Kara called him three times, but his phone was dead. She pinched her phone and went crazy.

'James must be so angry that he wouldn't answer my call!'

That night, both of them suffered from insomnia.

The next day, Kara went to the studio wearily. She asked about Donald, only to find out that he had

taken the day off. Family thing.

She called Donald, and his phone was dead too. Kara felt upset.

'Maybe there is something wrong with my phone," she thought, and then asked Jeffery to call her.

Jeffery did.

She picked up the phone. Jeffery's voice was clear from the other side. She felt even more helpless

now.

The problem wasn't on her phone. So why didn't James reply to her?

"Kara, don't worry. Donald goes home at this time every year. He will be back in a week." Said Jeffery,

he thought she was worried about Donald.

"Where is Donald from?"

"Country M. The other day when Donald was on the phone, I heard vaguely that his family has

arranged a marriage for him. Let's see, he might come back married!" Jeffery said, gossiping.

"Jeffery, enough of this nonsense!" snapped Jamya.

"Nonsense? Jamya, do you think you know more than me?" said Jeffery glumly.

"Donald won't engage. He will never marry anyone!" Jamya said firmly as if she knew him very well.

Kara recalled the U disk and the girl named Nicole, who seemed to be intimate with Donald. Was there

a story behind it?

"Jamya, you know something, right?" Kara was curious.

"It has nothing to do with you. You better stay away from this." Jamya walked away coldly, she didn't

want to speak more about it.

Kara was silent for a moment. Then she thought about what had happened the day before and asked

Jeffery curiously,

"Was it Jamya who asked Donald to save me yesterday?"

Jeffery froze and nodded.

"Yes, and Jamya was originally here looking for me. When Donald heard it, he immediately rushed to

the painting hall. Thank god, he knows martial arts."

Kara thought to herself, 'Jamya looked indifferent, but she was a good person.'

'I'll remember her kindness.'

"Kara, I'm sorry. It was my fault yesterday," said Jeffery.

"It wasn't your fault, Jeffery. They wouldn't let me off the hook anyway," interrupted Kara, "Besides, you

don't know martial arts. If things went worse, you might get hurt. Don't blame yourself." Kara tried to

comfort him.

Jeffery stared at her in surprise. He didn't expect her comfort.

He felt even more guilty and told himself that he had to treat her better in the future. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Kara remembered that Donald had advised her to invite everyone for a lunch. So she asked Jeffery to

see if they would accept her invitation.

"An invitation from Kara! We will be there. But what's it for?"

"As a newcomer, I would like to thank you guys for taking care of me," Kara said.

"What lunch?" Larry went downstairs and heard their conversation.

Hearing Larry's words, both of them were startled. They exchanged a meaningful glance.

"Nothing. We were discussing what to eat for lunch," Kara replied smilingly.

"Thinking about lunch when you just had breakfast? What, are you foodies?"

They dared not speak and lowered their heads to listen to the lecture.

Seeing Kara acting innocent, Larry walked to his place angrily and knocked at the desk.

"I was right. You are foodies. Now is there anyone who can fill my cup? The tea is cold."

They were lost for words.

Kara felt that Larry was purposely attracting attention, but she could only complain in her heart.

She went up, washed his cup, and poured a cup of hot tea for him. But it was too hot to drink, so she

cooled it down with cold water.

Having drunk a cup of warm tea, Larry felt much better. He looked at Kara seriously.

"Are you ready for the competition with Jamya?"

"Not yet."

"What progress has been made?" It was rare for Larry to be patient.

Kara was so honest that she answered straight to the questions.

"I haven't started yet."

Larry put down the teacup heavily. Kara was startled.

"Haven't started yet? Yet you are still in the mood to eat. Foodie, are you worried that you will lose, so

you decided to do nothing at all?"

Kara lowered her head and listened to his reproach. She knew that she had said something wrong.

"Jamya has finished drawing and you haven't started yet." He was pissed off.

"Kara, do you think that I won't scold you just because you are young? If you lose this competition,

don't expect any salary from me for the next two months!"

Kara was speechless.

'Master Larry, you are a great artist, how can you reduce yourself to a vulgar capitalist,' thought Kara.

She decided to shut up.

'Jamya was very talented, and she had gone to the college. Of course, she will win.

'But since I've accepted her challenge, I had to take a gamble.'

Larry's presence thwarted Kara's plan. She had no gut to invite the seniors for lunch anymore.

Kara was about to grab some food for lunch with Jeffery and was stopped by a bodyguard in black

suites just after they had stepped out of the studio.

The bodyguard looked serious. Kara pretended that she didn't see him and attempt to walk across.

"Miss Kara, please wait. Come with me," said him with his usual rigid tone.

He was tall, solemn, and quite scary.

Jeffery was worried that he would hurt Kara, so he stepped forward to protect her.

"Why would she go with you?"

"Sir, it's none of your business. You'd better get out of the way!" The bodyguard pushed Jeffery away

skillfully.

"Don't touch him. I'll go with you." Seeing Jeffery being attacked, Kara was annoyed.

"Miss Kara, if you were smart enough, I wouldn't have made a single move." The bodyguard sneered

and extended his hand to make a gesture of invitation.

Jeffery watched helplessly as Kara was taken away. He was anxious and wanted to find someone to

help. At this time, he noticed someone was looking for Kara.

"Why are you looking for Kara?" Jeffery asked prudently.

"I am James' friend. I have something to tell Kara," the man spoke gently.

Hearing the man's words. Jeffery told what had happened just now and the man rushed to his car

immediately.
