Unforgiven Sins

Chapter 10: Unexpected bonding with Him

Cinyla’s  POV

I and BenChua are always been together, I’ll admit he’s okay with me, reliable, and sociable like him. My accusations against him that he was a bad person were completely false. I was based too much on misconceptions.

“Do you want to buy anything else before we go to the park?” he asked while continuing driving.”Maybe it’s just snacks and drinks because it’s bad if we always eat street foods, right? I mean, we also have to be careful with what we eat. When our health is damaged, we will regret it in the end.”

“Yes, even most of the time prohibited foods are delicious we should take care of our health.”

“Nice! Are you okay? It’s really from you, isn’t it?” I wondered because I can’t believe it.

“Well, I need to maintain my body fit and healthy. I’m going to work out again, do you want to come?”

He turned our path to buy at a store for our snacks and drinks. “Just answer my question when I get back.” It was coming down and left me in the car first. Honestly, whoever will be his girlfriend is lucky. Be careful to take care of it, you don’t have anything to look for.

I meditate first while waiting for him. Until I see a handkerchief underneath. A small blue handkerchief with his name on the front. I took it and opened it, and on the back of it was our last name.

Montevilla…

Huh?! What is this?

I covered my mouth and hid my hand behind his back when he came. I was swallowed up in no time because of the sudden incident, but I chose to calm down and act like nothing happened but I was just waiting for him.

He went inside and put back the things he had bought. “Are you okay?” he asked, waking up my system. I quickly replied, “Y-yes!”

He adjusted the steering wheel signaling that we were leaving, I also adjusted my seat and chose to leave behind me the handkerchief I saw on our feet recently.

I don’t know why my father’s last name is there. I feel weird but on the other hand, I don’t want to think that he is part of our past because I don’t have any evidence until I realize that maybe… Maybe I need to get to know him first before I finally fall for him.

We got to the park safely, BenChua carrying snacks and drinks for the two of us. We were on the lawn, and both were watching people talking, children playing and letting the breeze blow us.

Until he handed me a big Piatos. “Eat first, it looks like you’re hungry. Are you okay?” It looked at me as if seriously taking into account my condition while I was still thinking about what I had seen earlier. I want to ask but it seems like this is the wrong time to tell him about it.

“I’m fine, thanks.” I open it and eat. I choose not to think first and calm myself down and let go of the clutter in my mind first.

“I understand,” he begins. “I don’t know why your mood changed, Cinyla it’s just shocking. If I’ve done anything, please tell me because I’m worried,” he said sadly.

I don’t know why I felt pain in my heart as if a needle was being slowly pierced. It doesn’t hurt but there is confusion about how I feel.

I turned to him and let go of the Pianos, I don’t want him to be sad because of what I did, it was wrong. “I’m sorry if you’re affected, maybe I’m just thinking about what happened to me these last days. You know, don’t you? Then now it’s gone, it’s just surprising because the one who did it seems to have lost his temper.” I explained that even though it wasn’t supposed to, it went through my mind. I forgot about the handkerchief in his car first, it was good that I hid it in my pocket, when he looked for it I would ask.

“Don’t even think about anything, you must be safe. I’m already here for you so stop thinking,” he replied once frowned and looked around.

I smiled at his stretch, simple but touching. “You know, you’re so cute. Let’s eat!” I handed him the snack that gave and we ate together. We came here to watch the sunset. I don’t know why I have to wait, but since I saw that, I feel even better.

“See you near the sunset.” He pointed and looked at me.

“Yeah that’s close, that’s nice.”

“But… you’re better.”

And as I turned to the right, our eyes met. It was as if time had stopped, people had disappeared and there was a slow song at those times. But I quickly focused my eyes on the sunset.

“What?! It’s close, let’s see.” When I changed it and it took out a device, his cell phone.

I don’t care what he does because I know he’s just going to take the sunset, so here I am just waiting for the sun king to hide.

Until his cell phone rang, signaling that he had taken a picture. “Look!” I beg.

Suddenly he was next to his cellphone to my surprise at what he did, I sculpted him. “Look at me!”Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“I can’t, just look at me. There he is,” he said.

“Why don’t you show me your picture at sunset?” I asked.

“N-nothing. My picture is ugly, don’t be naughty.” He was going to keep the cellphone but I quickly got it from him. “Yehey! I got it!” I shouted enthusiastically. I moved away a little because he might grab me. He tried to pull me so I moved further away until I could open the gallery. I was surprised by the content of the pictures. This is not the sunset captured but the last shot is me…

“What is this?!” I hesitated to ask and face him.

“Let me explain, Cinyla,” he spoke seriously.

But I didn’t want to hear anymore so I returned his cell phone to him with annoyance, and he was about to walk away but he suddenly grabbed my hand.

“Cinyla, I like you.”

My cheeks got hot and I couldn’t move.

“I liked you since we first met, so you are the only content of my gallery because I like you. I don’t want to miss you so I’m sorry I put all your pictures in my gallery.”

I wanted to speak but my mouth seemed to be sewn up and no words wanted to get out of it. “I’m sorry, Cinyla, I hope when I confess now, don’t avoid me.”

A few moments later I also had the courage and I woke up to all that he was saying, I also let go of his hold on my hand because I was counted as well.

“I’m okay, but I want to go home,” I spoke seriously and turned away suddenly, I couldn’t wait for him to say anything. It’s not that I don’t like what he said my heart seemed to jump but I stopped because it was shocking and why me.

I went straight to his car and it followed, apparently until he got in the car and put on a seatbelt we both became quiet.

“Wear your seatbelt, let’s go home.” He adjusted the steering wheel first and then adjusted his seat. Come on,” I said and he started the car.

Silence and seriousness almost engulfed us but I can’t blame him because I’ve been rude before, I didn’t respond to his explanation first. Why the speed? Why in such a situation.

“I’m sorry, I’ll delete it when we’re home.”

Is my action wrong? Why did you give up so quickly just because of my wrongdoing?

“All right sorry…” I said and he suddenly stopped the car for a moment.

He turned to me and stared at me, “Sorry Cinyla, I’m wrong timing but what I told you is true. Whatever your decision, I respect it. But I hope nothing changes.”

He started to drive the car again, while I remained confused by what he said. I looked at his side and asked in my mind. Did he like me already?
