Chapter 1 Let's Break Up
Chapter 1 Let's Break Up
In the middle of winter, it snowed heavily.
There were no heaters in the south of the country. Luna Covey rubbed her cold hands and squatted in
front of a suitcase, stuffing a medical report into it. She just came back from the hospital. Her doctor
told her that she had been pregnant for 3 months.
After zipping up the suitcase, Luna sat on the bed and touched her flat stomach, waiting for Brodie

It was getting dark, and the clock struck eleven. Then Luna heard the bedroom door open.
Brodie looked exhausted. He was surprised when he saw Luna and her suitcase. But he quickly hid it
and asked in a deep voice, "Luna, it's so late. Where are you going?"
Luna kept her head down, with one hand on her stomach. She mustered up courage and said stiffly,
"Brodie, let's break up."
Brodie couldn't stay calm anymore. He looked at Luna in disbelief and asked coldly, "Say it again?"
"I said, let's break up," Luna repeated stiffly.
Brodie's voice grew colder as he sneered, "Why?"
Luna was stunned by Brodie's gaze. After a long while, she stood up arrogantly, raised her eyebrows
and mocked, "Brodie, why you ask? Do you think that you could marry me? I'm a Covey, but you're just
a graduate who has no money or power."
Luna did not dare to look at Brodie. She was afraid that her heart would soften when she saw him
getting hurt. She was afraid that she would jump into his embrace the next second and tell him that she
had suffered in the past few days.
Luna stared at the snow on Brodie's shoulder and continued, "You don't have a car or a house. You
don't have any money, and your business even failed. I'm not going to waste any time on you. I don't
want to be kicked out of my family and lose the legacy."
Brodie did not say anything. He suddenly grabbed Luna by her chin and stared at her coldly.
Luna was panicked. She was so flustered that she grabbed the suitcase, shook his hand away, and
was about to leave.
Brodie remained cold. He smiled evilly as he grabbed Luna's arm, pulled her over and pressed her
against the wall. He was very close to her when he said angrily, "Waste time? Then tell me, who used
to chase after me all the time? Who sent me lunch? Who even collected the cigarette butts I threw
away? Oh, she even climbed in my bed. Did I force her to waste her time on me?"
As Brodie approached, Luna saw his face clearly and smelled his scent. She was so ashamed that she
turned her face away. "Shut up!"
"Tell me, who ran away from home and climbed in my bed?"
"Brodie, I said shut up!"
"Why? You had the guts to do that, but now you don't wanna admit it?"
Luna closed her eyes and said ruthlessly, "Girls were all crazy about boys they loved when they were
young. Brodie, no matter what I've done, I was just goofing around with you. You can't take it seriously,
right?"
Brodie sneered. His laughter pierced into Luna's heart like a sharp knife, causing her to tremble under
the pain.
Then Brodie spoke again in a low voice, "Alright, then let's goof around hard."
