You are all mine
Driving from Edward’s mansion with her brother, Melissa got a message from Sasha. She asked to meet at a hotel a few miles out of town for some interior deco inputs on an office she was opening in the States where she planned to relocate to.
“I’m afraid I can’t come with you to the company. Sasha wants us to meet for lunch. She needs my help with something.” She informed David after reading the message.
“Are you sure it’s okay to meet with her alone? I can take you there.” David said, feeling restless about the meeting.
“She is not that bad of a person when you get to know her and I have to be friendly with her for Mark. The two families are very close. Whether I like it or not, she will always be around whenever we go for any of Johnson’s family functions.” She said, trying to ease his worries.
“The driver will take you. Be very careful. If you suspect anything, get out and make sure to call me once your meeting is done.” He instructed, still feeling reluctant to let her go alone. “On a second note, maybe I should come with you.”
“No, I promise I’ll be very careful and I can very well defend myself. I’m trained by the best.” She smiled as they dropped him off at Edward’s office building.
“Make sure to call Mark, and let him know about your meeting.” Giving the final instruction, he kissed her cheek before stepping out of the car.
As they drove downtown, Melissa tried to call Mark’s number, but he didn’t answer. After trying several times with no response, she left him a voice message with the hotel address and the meeting details.
When she walked into the hotel, Melissa scanned the room but didn’t see Sasha. Sipping the mint lemon iced tea she had ordered while waiting, a woman dressed in the hotel staff uniform approached her. She handed Melissa a note informing her that Sasha was at the car park, not feeling well.
Alarmed, Melissa rushed but when she got to the rear car park, she saw two men leaning on a car, but Sasha was not there. Looking around, she realized that Sasha’s lunch invite was a ploy to get her out of the city.
“How stupid?” She reprimanded herself for being naive. As the two men approached her, she took a step back and cautiously opened her purse.
“Come quietly, you won’t want innocent people to get hurt.” One man ordered, then he adjusted his jacket to reveal the gun tucked in his belt.
“What do you want from me?” Melissa studied their every move as she stepped forward toward them. With her finger on the trigger, as they directed her to the van, she pulled out the gun and shot the man, ordering her on the leg. Turning to his partner, she hit him on the stomach with her left elbow, then hit him at the back of his head with the gun, knocking him out.
“Who sent you?” Stepping on the bleeding leg, Melissa pointed the gun at him. “If you move, I’ll blow your head off.” She warned, taking his gun. “Tell me who sent you? I’m not going to ask again..” The gunshot whooshing slightly above the man’s head, hitting the car tire startled Melissa, making her step back from the bleeding man.
Looking before her, Diana stood with a gun in her hand. “Well, they say if you want a clean job, do it yourself.” She said, smiling.
“Diana! It’s you, you sent them to kidnap me?” Melissa asked, pointing her gun at Diana.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Are you going to shoot me, Melissa?” Diana asked, pointing her gun back at her.
“Put your gun down and we won’t have to shoot each other,” Melissa responded slightly, removing her finger from the trigger.
“No one is going to shoot.” Before Diana’s words could die down, something heavy fell on the back of Melissa’s head, making her unconscious.
The people in the hotel ducked under the tables and called the police when they heard the shots. Though they thought terrorists were attacking them, no one got in and no one got hurt.
None saw the two vehicles as they drove off either.
…
When David got to the office building, he first went to his office to complete some work before picking up the documents his grandfather had sent him to get.
Walking into the home office, he found Mark going through the contract they were to sign for the two families to work together after years of hating and fighting each other. As the most efficient security company in the country, Edwards offered services to the Johnsons for both business and private guards.
It had been hours since he parted with Melissa. Time and time again he kept looking at his watch, wondering how long the meeting was to last since she had not called.
“Mark, did Melissa call you?” He inquired, sitting on the opposite chair and handing the documents to his grandfather.
“I’ve not talked to her. Why isn’t she at the office?” He asked, getting his phone only to find several missed calls and a voice message with which he listened to.
His phone was in silent mode since he went to a meeting and he forgot to turn the volume up. “Have you tried to call her?” He glanced at David while dialing Melissa’s number.
“No, I asked her to call me once the meeting was over.” David responded alarmed by Mark’s reaction.
“She is not picking. I’ll call Sasha.” Mark spoke while scrolling for Sasha’s number. “Her phone is off too.” Pacing around the office, Mark tried calling the office.
“Call the driver David. I’ll talk to the police chief.” Mr. Edward said, getting his phone.
“The driver is not picking up, I’ll go to the hotel…”
“Wait.” Mark stopped David at the door. “Sasha left the country at noon. Her assistant at the office just informed me. This only means someone got to Melissa. She won’t be anywhere near that hotel by now.” Mark slammed on the chair and covered his face with his hands, trying to compose himself.
“There were gunshots at the hotel’s car parking lot. From the surveillance cameras, it’s evident they took her. Right now, the police are at the scene gathering more information and trying to track down those people caught on camera. Also, they shot our driver, but they managed to rush him to the hospital on time. David, ask Lucy to go to the hospital right now. Find out everything he saw.” Mr. Edward ordered, leaning on the office desk.
“We can’t sit here and do nothing. I have to look for Melissa. I can’t lose her again.” Mark held his head, feeling flustered.
….
Melissa woke up with a slight headache with her hands tied at the back of the chair. “Let me go. Please let me out of here.” She shouted, trying to free herself.
“I see you are awake.” Diana smirked, walking into the room.
“Diana, what is going on here? Please let me go.” She kept pulling at her hand’s trying to free herself, but the ropes didn’t budge.
“You’re going nowhere Melissa, don’t even waste your strength.” She taunted, walking around her.
“Why are you doing this, Diana? If it’s because of the company, I’ll hand it back to you. Just let me go, please.” Melissa pleaded.
“I want you to watch something first before I tell you why I’m doing all this.” She informed her turning on the screen.
The hidden camera in Mr. Edward’s office captured them perfectly. “You have a camera in my grandfather’s office?” Melissa gasped watching them on the big screen as they made call after call. The worried looks on their faces said it all.
“I’m sure they must have heard about you by now. Ha ha ha, one more person and my gift for you will be complete.”
“What are you talking about?” Melissa asked, moving her face away as Diana ran the remote phone down her face to her neck.
“One press at the red button and boom, your beloved husband, brother, grandfather, and that idiot uncle you dislike so much will blow into pieces. How do you like that for a gift? Ha ha.” Diana’s laughter kept ringing in Melissa’s ears as she watched her uncle rush into the room. “Finally, the four of them in one room, just as I planned.” She said, holding the remote.
After a year of being with him, Diana knew how much Luke loved his family and would give his own life to save them. She purposely leaked information to his men. Informing them that the bomb in Mr. Edward’s home office would explode in an hour only to draw him in so she could finish them up together as Melissa watched.
“No!” Melissa shouted as she kicked Diana hard on the stomach, making her drop the remote. Then kicked it away, but Diana clawed and pressed the button. In a split second, the blast turned everything into dust.
“No, Mark, David no…” Staring at the blank screen, Melissa wiggled, trying to free herself,
“There is no one to save you now Melissa, you are all mine.” Diana said, before hitting her on the back of her head, making her unconscious.
