My nervousness intensified as he approached me.
“Don’t be afraid of me.”
I felt reassured when he let go of those words.
“Who wouldn’t be afraid of you?”
“They’re all scared of me but not just you.”
“I can hurt them all but I can’t hurt you.”
He suddenly walked away from me. His eyes turned black.
“D-Demon, what’s wrong with you?” I asked worriedly.
“Stay away from me Hailey. I don’t want to hurt you.”
He looked at me which was why I swallowed. He grinned that made me scared.
“If he can’t hurt you I’m different from him.” He deeply said.
The whole sky turned red. He approached me while I was retreating.
“You’re just a woman but she can’t hurt you. Then I’ll do it.”
When I could no longer hold back, he touched my neck.
“D-Demon, have mercy. Fight this monster.”
“Demon is gone. Don’t expect anyone to help you anymore.”
“I don’t believe you. I know Demon is just there.”
He laughed at the same time as the lightning.
“Why else would I be called a monster if I can’t kill?”
“Demon, I know you can hear me. You’re weak. Is it just a monster that will knock you down!”
“I thought you were strong. Why can’t you fight him now?”
“You said you can’t hurt me but why are you now letting this monster do that?”
“Even if you yelled he wouldn’t-” He stopped speaking.
He touched his head and he fell to the ground.
“Let me kill that woman. She’s just making you weak!”
“I promised and I will keep it. Don’t hurt that woman again if you don’t want me to lock you up again.”
“No. Don’t lock me up.” He said afraid.
“Will you choose me to return to my body or will I lock you up forever?”
A black shadow appeared on Demon’s body. I approached him.
Gradually he came to his senses so I smiled.
“Thank you for being awake. You made me worried.” I said and grabbed him with a hug.
“Are you really worried about me?” He asked.
I looked up at the sky because it was shining again.
“I’m just going to Headmaster Dracilus.” He said.
As I was on my way to the dorm I met the childish woman.
“You’re a flirt.” She whispered but I just ignored her.
“We’re not done yet.” She said and grabbed my arm.
“We’re done.”
They hit me in the neck with something hard so I lost consciousness.
I woke up when someone pulled my hair. When opened my eyes, everything was dark. There is only one light in the middle.
“Pour some cold water to her.”
Female voice. When she said that, someone poured water on me.
“No one can save you.”
I saw her face because of the light. She is the childish female student.
There was a bomb hanging around my neck.
“You’re in danger now. Even you call hero no one will know where you are.”
“One wrong move the bomb will explode.”
“Let me go.” I begged.
“No. I won’t do that. I want you to die.”
“You can leave this place because you’re going to die.” She added.
“Aren’t you afraid that bad luck will back to you?”
“Will I do this if I’m scared?” She asked me back.
“Let’s go out.” She told to her friends.
I couldn’t afford to remove it because they used chain to tie me to the chair.
The bomb rang loudly. I only have 10 seconds left.
I just closed my eyes.
“If this is my end I will accept it.” I said in my mind.
I heard the bomb explode but it did not blow me up. When I opened my eyes Demon was in front of me.
“Stupid girl.” He says.
“How did you know I was here?”
“Because of your smell. I’ve memorized you as well as your smell.”
“Thank you, Demon. If you don’t come maybe-” I didn’t finish what I was about to say when he put his finger to my lips.
“Don’t say that. I won’t let that happen.”
“I won’t let anyone to hurt and insult you again.”
“If you are in danger I will be your savior.”
I put my head in his arm.
I feel like I am always safe whenever he is by my side.
He always made my day complete.
“Let’s get out of here.” He suggested.
He took me to the clinic.
“Why did you bring me here?” I asked him.
“To make sure that you don’t have a wound.”
“I’m fine. I’m just need to rest in the dorm.”
“I am President Demon so you need to follow my orders.”
“Who did this to you?” He asked.
I just kept quiet and didn’t answer his question.
“Tell me. Who the hell hurt you?”
“If you don’t tell me who I myself am I will find and kill that bastard.”
“I’m not hurt.”
“Who?”
“Chloe but let her go. I’m totally fine.”
“I will make that bastard to pay for what she did.”
“No. Don’t do that.”
“If I don’t punish her who else will follow me?”
“This is the rule in this university. If she plans to destroy the rule i have no choice but to end her life.”
“She was just jealous so she did that.”
“Why are you defending her?”
“I won’t change my mind. If you want to see what i will do then follow me.”
“I’m doing this for you and not for me. If she can’t respect you many will imitate you.”
“There will be many strikers. I need to enforce the law. That’s my duty even if a lot of blood is shed or many students die I don’t care. I just want to keep the rules.” He insisted.
He stopped walking because of what I asked.
“I won’t let you sacrifice yourself. If you die, I will die too. If you leave, I will follow you.”
He said and walked away again. We stopped in a classroom and he opened it.
“Where’s Chloe?”
A woman stood up and turned her gaze to me.
“I have a gift for you and no matter how many times you live you will never forget that.”
“I still have a class.” Chloe said.
“Leave your class now.”
Demon entered the classroom and violently grabbed Chloe’s arm. He dragged it out.
