Vengeful Hearts Return Novel by Susan Clyde

Chapter 153

Before getting off the plane, Dylan changed Audrey’s shoes for her and set her blanket aside. Then, he held her hand as they got off the plane.

Without showing any change in expression, Audrey looked at Dylan’s straight back and the creaseless back of his suit jacket, frowning slightly.

With Dylan around, the group quickly left the VIP passageway

Before boarding the plane, Audrey had turned off her phone. Now that she turned it on, all the messages popped up.

Before she could take a closer look, Troy’s call came in.

“Have you gotten off the plane?” he asked, his warm voice coming through.

“Yeah, and I just came out, Audrey said, glancing at Dylan, who was beside her and holding her hand tightly.

“Alright. I’ve already arranged for someone to pick you up outside. The hotel has also been arranged. If you don’t like staying in a hotel, you can choose a house to stay in.”

“It’s okay. Tell your men to go back. I have something to take care of here.”

Audrey did not expect Dylan to come with her.

“What’s wrong“” Troy asked in puzzlement.

“Someone comes with me.

Although Audrey did not say it explicitly, Troy already understood, and he chuckled. “Alright. I’ll ask my men to come back. Rest early today. I’ll call you tomorrow morning. Let’s have lunch together.”

“Sure, Audrey replied and hung up

Dylan had long arranged cars to wait outside. Once the group of people got into the cars, they immediately left the airport.

It was not until the black cars pulled away into the distance that a cold and indifferent voice came from a car parked nearby.

“Go and check the identity of the woman just now.”

“Mr. Majest, do you think there’s something wrong with that person?” the subordinate asked. As he looked ahead, the few black cars were already gone.

Hansel had always been indifferent and unfeeling, but now his calm face showed a slight frown.

He couldn’t help but think of the face he had hurriedly glanced at just now, which was almost identical to a certain face in his memory.

If he had not unintentionally seen the portrait in his adoptive father’s study, he would not have thought too much about it. However, his adoptive father had upheld high moral standards and avoided compromising situations for over twenty years. No woman had ever approached his adoptive father.

With his adoptive father’s status, many people naturally offered him young and beautiful women, but he had always disdained those women.

Subsequently, some people thought that his adoptive father preferred men, so they decided to offer him men.

Only Hansel knew there had always been a person in his adoptive father’s heart. After so many years, that person had already become deeply cherished and unforgettable to his adoptive father.

It wasn’t until Hansel saw the portrait in the study that clarity was brought to a previously obscured situation, like the quiet and cold moon suddenly clearing the clouds. He immediately understood that the woman in the portrait must be the deeply cherished and unforgettable one whom his adoptive father had kept in his heart.

But Hansel never expected that the person in the portrait would suddenly appear in front of him.

Although it was just a fleeting glance, it was enough for Hansel to remember it.

He thought, ‘She resembles the woman in the portrait, looking so much alike. She looks exactly like the woman in the portrait. Who could this woman be? Is she the one in the portrait? No. After so many years, there’s no way she would still be so young.

Hansel thought of something and suddenly warned coldly, “Do it more discreetly. Don’t let anyone notice, especia!!! Lisa”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

“Got it, Mr. Majest. I understand.”

“While you are at it, find out the identity of the man beside her too.

As the young leader of Nightshade Alliance, Hansel had naturally seen many people, but Dylan gave him a sense of extreme

threat.

This kind of feeling was something he had never experienced before.

Dylan had his own property in ladale City. It was called the Hernandez residence. Located in the city center, there were only twelve villas there, and the people living there were either the wealthy or the influential. Even with money and power, one could not buy a unit there without having a certain status.

Dylan’s villa was the most prominent one in the Hernandez residence and was located in the best spot.

The villa had already been cleaned two hours in advance.

As soon as they entered the house, Dylan said to Audrey, “I don’t know when the people operating secretly will make a move. It’s dangerous to stay in a hotel. Stay here for the time being. You’ll have the master bedroom, and my room is next to yours. If anything happens, just call me.”

As Dylan spoke, he had already brought Audrey upstairs.

Everything in the master bedroom was all set. Even the new clothes to change into had been sent over by people from the mall not long ago at Dylan’s request.

At this moment, there were still bags of clothes in the shopping bags that had yet to be hung up.

Audrey glanced at the clothes.

“I just asked people from the mall to send these clothes over. They’re all your sizes from your favorite brands.” Dylan took care of nearly every detail of Audrey’s life.

He showed a hint of caution as he looked at Audrey. Worrying that Audrey would refuse to stay here, he turned around and

left.

“You’ve checked everything so thoroughly. What if these clothes don’t fit?” Audrey glanced at Dylan with a faint smile.

Dylan’s pitch–black eyes showed a brief pause in gazing. Then, he seemed to think of something, and he said uncomfortably, “They won’t be ill–fitting. Your figure is great, and your body shape has remained the same. The judgment from my sense of touch should be accurate.

Audrey was slightly stunned when she heard Dylan’s words. She immediately shot him a cold glare.

Then, she let out a sneer. “Mr. Clifford, you can leave now.”

Noticing that Audrey agreed to stay here, Dylan’s eyes lit up, and he immediately heaved a sigh of relief.

“Go take a shower first. I’ll help you hang up these clothes.”

With that said, Dylan immediately carried the shopping bags into the master bedroom’s adjoining closet without waiting for Audrey’s reply.

He took out the items of clothing from the bags one by one and hung them up, sorting them by color and length

As soon as he finished organizing all the clothes and walked out of the closet, he saw Audrey, who had come out of the bathroom after finishing her shower.

After taking a shower, Audrey’s delicate skin was pinkish like a blooming lily. She was seductive, yet she was unaware of her own allure.

A spark of passion immediately rose from the depths of Dylan’s dark eyes. After a long while, he said in a slightly hoarse voice. “Rest early. Call me if you need anything. I’m next door.”

That night, Audrey had initially thought that she would not be able to sleep. Unexpectedly, she ended up sleeping until dawn. The next morning, she received a call from Troy right after breakfast. He arranged to have lunch with her at a private restaurant.

Since she was having lunch with Troy, she had no intention of bringing Dylan along. She only asked Dylan’s people to take her to the destination.

The private restaurant that Troy had arranged to have lunch was located in the depths of an alley. Although it was located in at remote and low–key area, its interior was quaint and elegantly luxurious.

Audrey had just entered the restaurant and was about to find a waiter to take her to the private room when she heard a cold, clear, and captivating voice.

“Be careful!”

Audrey slightly lifted her gaze and saw a tall and slender figure of a man who was as elegant and cold as someone with admirable character and achievements.
