We Got Love, The Crazy Kind

Chapter 42 Her Attractive Scent

Chapter 42 Her Attractive Scent

Liam did not answer the door.

Thinking that he probably could not hear her, Amber started rapping on the door even harder. Still, the

door was not opened.

“Is he angry with me?” she wondered. Standing at the door, the smile on her face faded away. She

decided it was completely normal for Liam to be ticked off by her rude attitude earlier.

“Fine, I’m just going to let him be sulky all day long inside. I can’t just barge inside and beg for his

forgiveness, can I?” she mused.

Amber shook her head in resignation before heading back to her room. Just as she walked past the Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

pots of plants placed nearby the study room, Mia came back from outside.

She looked hot wearing a black lacy dress with a snowy white fur coat draped on her shoulder.

When she noticed Amber walking over from Liam’s study, she knitted her brows slightly. She couldn’t

help wondering why Amber, who was wearing pajamas, dropped by Liam’s study.

“Hey, Mia.” For some reason, the sight of Mia made Amber feel restless and somewhat guilty. She had

no clue why she was feeling that way when she did not do anything wrong.

Mia plastered a pleasant smile on her face. “How’s it going, Amber?” She eyed Amber suspiciously, but

she did not ask her anything about her visit to Liam’s study room. Amber felt awkward as she was not

even given the chance to explain herself.

After the brief exchange with Mia, Amber quickly scurried back to her room.

Meanwhile, Mia went to the study room and heard music playing inside. Her heart sank because she

knew Liam was inside.

As Liam did not answer the door, she opened it and walked straight inside.

“Liam, what’s this song you’re listening to?” Mia put aside her handbag and pecked on Liam’s cheeks.

Mia found herself being infatuated with Liam because of his good looks and his great taste in music.

Subtly, Liam shifted away from Mia. “Aren’t you supposed to be having dinner with your friend now?

What brings you back home?” he asked with a smile.

Smiling coyly, Mia slung her arms around his neck. “I feel bad for leaving you alone at home. So, I’ve

canceled my dinner date with my friend to keep you company.”

Mia was puzzled because it was unusual for Liam to be at home at this hour.

Liam checked the time on his wristwatch. “It’s dinnertime. What would you like to have for dinner?”

Mia winked flirtatiously at him. “There’s a diner nearby which is famous for their fish and chips. I saw

their advertisement in the elevator just now. Should we give it a go?”

Liam chuckled in amusement, “Are you sure about that? You’ve never stepped foot in that sort of place

because you think the food is unhygienic.”

Mia melted into his arms and said, “Anything is gourmet food as long as I get to eat with you.”

Liam’s mind wandered off when he caught a whiff of the perfume Mia was wearing. It was a type of

feminine, sweet, and alluring scent. However, it was not as charming to him as the scent of Amber’s

body…

“Liam, what kind of discussion did you have with Amber just now?” Relishing the warmth in Liam’s

embrace, Mia asked tentatively.

“Amber? She wasn’t here just now.” Liam sounded confused.

“She wasn’t? I must have gotten the wrong idea when I saw her walking back to her room from the

corridor.” A wave of relief washed over Mia at the moment. “Well, let’s head out for dinner then,” she

said with a sweet smile.

After Liam and Mia had left, Amber quickly got dressed and headed out for dinner. She was famished

and she needed food immediately.

Her stomach started rumbling when she saw the advertisement of a diner nearby that offered

delectable-looking fish and chips.
