Chapter 112
Chapter 112
Jason ignored Anastasia. He got up and went to the kitchen!
In fact, Jason was quite stubborn. He wouldn’t spoil anyone completely, even if that person were Anastasia.
Anastasia had also known of Jason’s stubbornness. She had known about it for six years already.
He had always kept silent and liked sulking. Then he would silently do whatever he thought was right.
“Jason…” Anastasia felt a little guilty. She noticed that Jason was furious, so she got up and went to coax him. “Should I not post these photos?”
Anastasia felt it would be disgusting to take revenge on Felicia using her own method. Jason might be dragged into it too.
Moreover, in reality, she was just using Jason for her own sake.
She was using the fact that Felicia had pursued Jason before, and she was going to post their privacy online.
“You can do whatever you want,” Jason said indifferently, exuding a cold aura.
Anastasia did not continue talking. She knew that Jason was angry at her.
This was good, in a way. After living together, he would gradually become more and more disgusted with her.
It was the same for Alastor.
At the very beginning, he still had a bit of interest in her. At least he had returned home every night.
Later, he did not come home for seven or eight days a month.
Following that, he only stayed at home for seven or eight days a month.
Anastasia would often look for a reason within herself. “Maybe I’m not good enough to be liked by others,” she had thought.
Anastasia sat back on the couch in disappointment. She curled up her legs and held herself tightly in silence.
Tears welled up in her eyes but never flowed out even after some time.
Snowball used to accompany her when she was sad. However, Snowball was gone now.
“Here you go.” Jason appeared from the kitchen and saw Anastasia sitting while hugging her legs. She seemed a bit lonely.
Jason sighed. He did not know what to do with her.
He handed Anastasia a washed apple, turned around, and left.
He did not know how to say sweet words to make women happy. He just sincerely hoped that Anastasia would be blissful every day in the future.
“Meow…”
Suddenly, Anastasia heard a cat meowing.
Anastasia instantly raised her head and looked around nervously.
“Was it my hallucination?” she pondered.
“Meow!”

It was another cry from the kitten.
Anastasia hurriedly stood up and looked for the sound.
Finally, she found a small incubator in the corner of the living room. There was a tiny kitten inside. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
Anastasia looked back in surprise at Jason, who was cooking silently in the dining room. “Jace, what’s with this kitten?”
Jason huffed and put the cooked pasta on the table. He was still a bit angry at her.
He had thought that Anastasia would prepare meals for him.
“You don’t see me at all.” Jason walked over. “I was carrying it when I came back just now. You didn’t even see it.”
Anastasia was a little embarrassed to hear Jason’s resentment. “I didn’t notice anything just now.”
Jason was annoyed and stopped talking.
He knew that when Anastasia felt a little guilty toward him, she would call him Jace. Usually, she called him by his full name.
In fact, he was not used to Anastasia calling him Jason.
It seemed like he had gotten used to and accepted his identity as Jace.
“It looks so cute,” Anastasia mumbled in a tight voice. She was squatting beside the incubator while looking at the kitten inside.
Snowball had been as cute when it had just been picked up.
It looked a bit pitiful too.
“I picked it up when I was looking for Snowball. It was sent to a veterinary hospital to be examined and treated. It has been vaccinated and allowed to come home today,” Jason explained.
Anastasia looked at Jason with red eyes and immediately shifted her gaze. “I’m sorry…”
She seemed to be a little unconcerned about Jason.
Jason had really done his best to search for Snowball.
She got frightened when she saw him jumping into the river.
Jace had always been very impulsive, not bothered about anything.
Nonetheless, this was who Jace was.
Even after six years that his appearance and height had changed, his characteristics and soul were still the same old Jace.
“I don’t like to hear the word ‘sorry.” Jason opened the incubator, took out the kitten, and handed it to Anastasia. “What’s the point of saying sorry if the hurt has been inflicted?” His statement contained a deep meaning.
Jason intended to remind Anastasia that it applied to both huge and small matters.
There was no such person as one who couldn’t continue living after they left someone. He hoped that Anastasia would soon get out of the hell Alastor had given her.
She would live as long as she would return to him.
