Chapter 116
Chapter 116
Alastor’s face fell. His eyes obviously blazed with fury.
Felicia clenched her fists guiltily as if she did not expect Anastasia to be so blunt. Anyway, she did not care, as every time she sent Anastasia a picture she shouldn’t, she immediately recalled it. Nothing would be found on the chat record from Anastasia’s side.
“What did she send?” Alastor reached out and asked Anastasia for her phone.
“Are you sure you don’t know what she sent?” Anastasia laughed at his reaction. “Aren’t you two together on Christmas Eve, Valentine’s Day, and every important festival since Felicia returned? Didn’t you give her money, buy her bags and cars, and gift her luxury items?”
Alastor furrowed his brows and only spoke after a long time. “Those… are
compensation for her.” and only spok
Anastasia took a step back weakly and sneered. “Compensation? There’s so much compensation for a mistress. What about me? What am I to you after being with you for four years?”
“Anastasia, I’ve already done all I can for you.” Alastor looked at Anastasia and spoke again in a low voice. “Stop making a fuss. I didn’t make a public statement to keep Jason and your dignity. Listen to me and leave him.”
Anastasia leaned against the wall and barely supported herself. “Don’t go too far.”
“I have yet to make a move against you, Anastasia.” Alastor rubbed between his eyebrows as if he knew he was about to lose control of his emotions.
He mused, “I haven’t started to do anything yet. Is this considered as going too far? What about her? Isn’t it too much for her to be with Jason?” — “Alastor, let me explain this. I just…” Felicia could tell that Alastor was
angry from the tense aura he exuded.
“Take your stuff and scram,” Alastor ordered Felicia.
Anastasia wondered what Alastor had up his sleeves and whispered inwardly, “He already summoned Felicia over, and she had already changed the furnishings and ornaments in the house. Why does he still put up an act?”

“Alastor…” Felicia whimpered.
Alastor seemed to be suppressing his anger and glared at Felicia.
Submitting to the circumstances, Felicia lowered her head and left without saying a word.
She knew that things would get worse if she provoked Alastor.
“Alastor, what good does it bring to you if you don’t divorce me and drag me with you?” Anastasia walked over to the couch and sat on it after Felicia left.
“The baby is gone, and Snowball isn’t here anymore. I no longer have anything to hold dear here.” Anastasia glanced around and found the place had become foreign to her.
“The doctor said Grandma’s condition has become critical.” Alastor leaned on the couch and sounded exhausted.
Anastasia knitted her brows when she heard that.
In fact, she had already figured it out. There were only two reasons why Alastor pestered her like that. One was he was afraid of her scrambling for property, while the other was he was worried about Andrea.
“The doctor said her cancer has spread, and she can only live for another year at most.” Alastor looked at Anastasia. “So, no matter how deep your love for Jason is, please hang on until the end of this year.”
Anastasia took a deep breath. “Alastor, it’s not that I can’t wait for a year, but I don’t want to. Humans are selfish. That is your grandma. The one who cheated in our relationship was you, so you will be the one who should be responsible for explaining to her well. I can cooperate if you need me to visit her often. However, I can’t accept it if you threaten me not to divorce.”
She had to get the divorce certificate as soon as possible.
Otherwise, it would always be a ticking time bomb in her hand.
“Alastor, let’s get the divorce certificate. I’m willing to leave the marriage with nothing and not ask anything from you. If Grandma Andrea really can’t handle the shock, I can cooperate with you to put on an act. I only want a divorce.”
Anastasia was firm.
Andrea was in poor health, and her cancer had spread.
As for herself, she did not have much time to live after she gave birth to
the baby. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
She wanted to live for herself and her child in her limited life.
Anastasia gazed down at her belly and murmured in a hoarse voice, “If I gave birth to the baby and lost my life, would you be kind to the baby? Will Felicia treat my baby as her own?”
She knew the answer would be “no.”
