Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 26

Chapter 26

*Anastasia, since your registration of marriage without a word, you have never come out to hang out with us at midnight. What’s going on today?” one of Anastasia’s friends laughed and teaseil.

Anastasia didn’t speak.

“It’s all because of me,” Kimberly answered instead.

“Annie, you’re partial to Kimberly. I’m jealous,” the friend joked as she sat beside Anastasia.

“Why didn’t Marilyn come?” Kimberly glanced at everyone and found that one of their friends was absent.

“Marilyn Swanson? She broke up with her boyfriend and went abroad to travel. The friend sighed. “She has been in a relationship with her boyfriend for three years, but she was no match for his first crush. I heard that his first crush came back to find him, and he didn’t even hesitate to break up despite three years of relationship.”

“Haven’t you heard of it? The first crush is always the best, and those who appear later are no match for the first crush,” another friend joked. As soon as she finished speaking, she was attracted by a man who served them wine. “Look, a handsome man!”

Jason didn’t speak. He just glanced at Anastasia and frowned slightly.

Anastasia and Kimberly were also stunned. “W–What a coincidence.”

“You know him?” their friend asked and grabbed Kimberly’s arm. “He’s so handsome. He’s mine.”

“He is my classmate,” Kimberly explained and looked back at Jason. “Are you here to work part–time?”

“Yeah. Jason admitted.

Anastasia didn’t expect to run into him as well.

“Handsome, you can hang out with us, and the sales of drinks are yours.” Anastasia’s friend looked at Jason excitedly and thought. “No way I can find such a handsome man elsewhere.”

Jason smiled and sat beside Anastasia. “The manager asked me to come.”

“Your manager is really good.” The friend pushed Kimberly away, sat next to Jason, and handed him a glass of wine. “Handsome, let’s have a drink and get to know each other.”

Kimberly looked at Anastasia helplessly, thinking, “Oh no. An innocent man like Jason will lose his innocence after being targeted by Sofia Collins.”

When they were in school, everyone knew that Sofia was a famous social butterfly in the Department of Art. When she did life drawing during her freshman year, all those nude models she was interested in had an affair with her.

“Sofia, take it easy. He is my classmate.” Kimberly whispered.

Jason had a weird personality, and he was not a very enthusiastic kind of person.

Maybe it was also because he worked part–time to earn living expenses. He poured wine for everyone enthusiastically, but not for Anastasia.

Sofia pressed her body against Jason’s. “Handsome, do you have a girlfriend?”

Jason shook his head.

“What did we just say? First crush. Can you men never forget your first crush?” Sofia asked.

Jason glanced at Anastasia. “Maybe.”

Anastasia was a little confused by Jason’s gaze. She poured herself wine and picked up the wine glass to drink.

“What’s so good about the first crush that they’re so worth remembering?” Anastasia asked in a low voice.

Jason snatched Anastasia’s wine glass away and drank the wine.

Everyone looked at Jason in shock. He was sitting under the dim light, and his action of throwing his head back and drinking as well as his Adam’s apple that bobbed made him look charming.

It was a waste that a handsome man like him did not join the entertainment industry.

“I once loved someone when I was 16. What’s good about our first crush? It’s probably because it’s the whole youth of a person. She didn’t need to do anything and just sat there quietly, while I only needed to look at her in silence. Just like that, she has surpassed everyone in my heart. Since then, many women have appeared in my life but no one can beat her.”

Jason’s voice was beautiful and clear amidst the noisy environment. Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.

Anastasia’s hands were numb. Jason’s reply was probably the perfect explanation for a man’s first crush.

Alastor loved Felicia when they were 18 years old. They spent their years in the university together. She was his light and his

youth.

She was someone that could not be replaced by any other woman.

“Anastasia, have you noticed that you look like Felicia in her teens when you don’t wear makeup? When men can’t be with their first crush, they like to find a substitute. This is their common problem,” Jason looked at Anastasia and said in a hoarse

voice.

Anastasia’s heart skipped a beat, and the pain began to fill her whole body.

She thought, “I see. No wonder Alastor decided to marry me the moment he saw me. It turns out that I’ve been Felicia’s substitute the whole time.”
