Chapter 32

Chapter 32

“If anything bad happens to Snowball, don’t blame me for seeking you out for this.” Anastasia did not intend to have an open. conflict with Felicia for the sake of Alastor. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

She slapped Felicia in the face that day, causing Alastor to interrogate her personally. If Anastasia provoked Felicia now, Alastor would definitely punish her.

“Anastasia, if I were you, I would have left quickly with the property I deserved to get. Even though you only stayed with Alastor for four years, he must have given you quite a lot of money, right?” Felicia deliberately asked, clearly wanting to know the divorce terms Alastor offered to Anastasia.

Anastasia squinted her eyes and thought, “Didn’t Alastor tell Felicia that he would leave the marriage with nothing?”

“You probably don’t know about this, but Alastor wants to leave the marriage with nothing.” Anastasia smiled and looked at Felicia quietly.

Felicia was obviously stunned for a moment, and her expression looked very unpleasant. “Anastasia, don’t you go too far! What right do you have to make Alastor do that? Do you really think you’re innocent? You were not innocent already when you married Alastor. Alastor’s not your first man at all. You don’t have the right to make him leave the marriage with` nothing!”

Anastasia looked at Felicia sarcastically, wishing that Alastor could see Felicia’s face and attitude right now.

It was quite obvious that Felicia did not love Alastor but his money more.

“How do you define innocent?” Anastasia watched quietly Felicia turning hysterical.

“Anastasia, don’t you pretend. Do you think you didn’t commit an extramarital affair? Who’s that man in the photo given by Sienna? You were in an ambiguous relationship with that man since you were eighteen. Don’t you dare pretend to be innocent.” Felicia could not suppress her anger anymore.

Upon learning that Alastor would gain nothing if he divorced, she turned even more agitated than hearing Alastor refusing a divorce.

“If you’re a piece of shit, do you think everyone else is the same as you?” Outside the door, Kimberly came back with a fit of strong anger. “Get the hell out of here. If it weren’t for your pregnancy, I would have given you a big slap on the face.”

Felicia looked at Kimberly angrily and turned to leave.

“Anastasia, if you’re not going to teach her a lesson, why waste your time talking nonsense with her? I can’t believe you can still talk to her so calmly.” Kimberly felt angry and sorry for Anastasia.

“I slapped Felicia in the face that day, and Alastor rushed home to interrogate me. I’m not in the mood to deal with her now.” Anastasia leaned on the bed and pondered whether to divorce or not.

“Annie, why don’t you want a divorce? Tell me the truth. Is it that… you’re afraid that you’ll become alone again?” Kimberly knew Anastasia well. She knew why Anastasia gave up the opportunity to study abroad because the latter was so eager for a family, feeling feared and panicked to be left alone.

“Annie, if you hadn’t given me the slot to go abroad… You won’t be hurt by that scumbag now.” Kimberly hugged Anastasia in distress and patted her on the back. “It’s all my fault. I should stay here with you.”

“It’s my life. I chose the way myself, so it has nothing to do with you.” Anastasia shook her head numbly.

“Anastasia, don’t feel wrong for yourself, okay? I won’t be leaving after coming back this time. We’ll live together, and I’ll give you a home, okay?” Kimberly begged Anastasia not to continue to wrong herself for the so–called family

Anastasia’s eyes reddened, and tears gushed out from them with her head lowered. “Let’s go home.” After finishing the IV drip, Anastasia followed Kimberly and left.

When they left, they happened to see Alastor’s car parked in the parking slot.

Anastasia just watched Alastor get out of the car in a hurry, where the latter carried a lunch box and entered the hospital. “Look, it’s so easy to tell whether a man loves a woman or not.” Anastasia closed her eyes with a smile, her breathing trembling with pain.

This was the difference between love and non–love.

Due to his not loving her, she was told not to have children during the four years of marriage.

Due to the man not loving her, their four years of feelings were worthless.

“Let’s go home… Anastasia knew that Alastor would not return home tonight.

Felicia would use all her means to retain Alastor and provoke Anastasia.

After returning home, Anastasia sat on the couch tiredly. While looking at Snowball, who had been fed, she reached out her

hand at him.

Snowball came over lazily and approached slowly. He climbed onto Anastasia’s legs and fell asleep in her lap.

“Snowball, I’m going to divorce Daddy. Will you follow me or Daddy?” Anastasia asked in a soft voice, unsure whether she was asking Snowball or the baby inside her tummy.

“Meow, Snowball meowed uneasily.

Anastasia lay on the couch and slept with Snowball in her arms.

Not knowing how long she had slept, Anastasia was woken up by the phone call.

When she woke up, the sky had turned dark.

As expected. Alastor did not come back.

After checking the time, it was already past eleven o’clock.

“Hello?” Anastasia answered the call.

“Anastasia, Alastor was drunk and had a fight at the bar. Come and have a look.”

Anastasia hitched her breath and could not believe that Alastor had a fight. She was confused as she thought he was with Felicia.
