Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 153

Felicia looked at Alastor aggrievedly and cried even harder. “It’s not only my fault. Alastor, say something.”

Alastor rubbed his eyebrows and said in a deep voice, “The ambulance will reach soon. I’ll ask Lionel to take you to the hospital.”

After saying that, Alastor went back to the living room with Andrea. “Grandma, don’t be angry. Have a good rest. I have talked to Anastasia. She said she would give me another chance.”

Andrea breathed a sigh of relief. “Anastasia is a good woman. You have to cherish it this time.”

Alastor nodded.

Outside the door, Felicia saw that Alastor really ignored her, and she screamed in a sharp voice.

Alastor frowned. He did not expect Felicia to be so annoying.

“Why do

you

like such a woman?” Andrea was a little angry.

Alastor took a deep breath and lowered his head. “Grandma, I drank too much…”

Andrea had been through a lot, so she reminded Alastor, “If you were really drunk, you wouldn’t lose control. Don’t make excuses for your mistakes. Think whether someone had set you up.”

Alastor was stunned for a moment as he looked at Andrea.

Andrea sighed. “I’m too old to care about you. You should take good care of yourself in the future. I can clearly see what kind of person Annie is. You..”

Andrea did not want to persuade Alastor anymore. She was also troubled by the principles of marriage and love.

If everything could be forgiven, then he would only be reaping what he sowed.

It was true that Alastor cheated and Anastasia wanted a divorce.

Andrea could not control how Alastor and Anastasia would end up.

Meanwhile, at the Hillscester Mansion, Jason was sitting at the door of the courtyard, apparently waiting for Anastasia to come home.

Anastasia was carrying an apple. This was Jason’s favorite fruit.

“Jason…” Anastasia called Jason’s name.

Jason sat there like a stray dog, just like six years ago.

Hearing Anastasia calling his name, Jason suddenly looked up and ran to Anastasia quickly. Then, he held her in his arms. “I thought you wouldn’t come back.”

Anastasia smiled, quietly avoided Jason, and put the apple in his hand. “I bought it for you.”

“Let’s go home.” Jason lowered his head to hold Anastasia’s hand. His other hand held the apple. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

“Jason, I can’t live here anymore,” Anastasia whispered.

She treated Jason like her younger brother and knew that he would not do anything to her. Nevertheless, the rumors in this society did not allow pure friendship between men and women.

While she was not yet divorced, living together would indeed make Jason criticized.

They were so impulsive that they announced the so-called relationship as a couple before getting the divorce certificate.

This would give Alastor leverage against Jason.

Today, Alastor asked Anastasia if she really wanted to try again or was just afraid that he would hurt Jason.

Anastasia did not answer him directly.

In fact, she actually thought of both.

If Sienna’s disappearance really had something to do with Jason, she would consider herself guilty. Anastasia did not want to involve Jason anymore.

“Anastasia…” Jason panicked, and his fingers stiffened in the air. “It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to live here. I will rent a house tomorrow. I will also look at other places. Anastasia, let’s go view houses together tomorrow…” Jason panicked, and his speech was getting faster.

He looked like a stray dog who did not want to lose its owner, pleading and sobbing.

“Anastasia, I’ve been working hard. I really… I’m trying hard to give you the life you want. Please wait for me, okay?” Jason lowered his head and spoke in a hoarse voice.

He really worked hard.

Jason thought, “Can’t Anastasia wait for me?”

He could also give her the sense of security she wanted.

“Jason, you’re a good person and deserve better.” Anastasia shook her head at Jason. “I’m married and pregnant. Even if Alastor and I divorce, we won’t have a good ending.”

Anastasia shook her head again. “Jason, don’t do anything stupid for someone like me. You should learn a lesson from what happened six years ago.”
