Chapter 161
Chapter 161
Davis‘ voice thundered through the hall as he saw Brian leave, “Hold it right there!”
Brian paused with an annoyed scowl on his face as he turned. “What now?”
“You must’ve forgotten about next Monday’s gala. You’re the award presenter, and Gracia is our guest
of honor! She hasn’t booked her flight because she’s waiting for your decision! I had her come over so
you two could sort out the travel plans! I figured you’d be too wrapped up in work to remember,” Davis
said, his tone brooking no argument.
“I’m flying out tonight. I’ve got no time for this,” Brian snapped, barely giving it a second thought.
“Perfect. Gracia can tag along then!” Davis retorted with unwavering authority.
Brian frowned deeply, sparing a glance at Gracia. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
“I can manage on my own,” Gracia stammered, flustered under Brian’s intense gaze, shaking her head
slightly.
“Then go on your own,” Brian replied curtly and resumed his march out the door.
“Davis…” Gracia hesitated, turning to Davis with a pleading look, unsure whether she should
follow Brian.
Davis remained silent, and she didn’t dare to move.
Davis watched Brian’s retreating figure for a long moment. Finally, he said quietly with a stern face, “I’ll
have someone pack your bags and send them over. Follow him.”
As he spoke, he patted Gracia’s hand meaningfully. “Seize this opportunity, Gracia. I have faith in you.”
Gracia had missed too many chances already. If Brian wouldn’t take the initiative, perhaps it was time
for her to do so.
By the time they had got physical, Brian would have no choice but to accept it..
Gracia felt something pressed into her palm, and a flicker of surprise crossed her eyes when she
looked down.
Eight hours later, they arrived in Sterlina.
Gracia sat timidly in the living room of the presidential suite, eyes following Brian as he passed by.
She hadn’t brought anything with her and boarded Brian’s private jet. Without her ID, she had nowhere
to go other than sharing a room with him.
Yet Brian was treating her as if she were invisible. When she entered the room, he didn’t spare

her a glance.
“Brian…” she called out hesitantly.
“There’s a keycard for the room next door on the table,” Brian said, shrugging off his jacket and
heading toward the bathroom indifferently.
Gracia sat on the couch, engulfed by waves of embarrassment. She had followed him to Sterlina, to his
room, and he still showed no interest.
Biting her lip in frustration, she watched as Brian began to undress.
“If you want to keep watching, I don’t mind,” Brian remarked casually, grabbing a bathrobe.
Gracia, who had never seen a man undressed, quickly turned away, not daring to keep her gaze on
him.
As she was about to sprinkle the contents Davis had given her into Brian’s protein powder, Brian’s
unlocked phone on the counter vibrated.
Without thinking, she glanced at it and saw the name Natalie.
It was a message from Natalie to Brian.
[I’m thinking of getting discharged from the hospital. Can settle the paperwork in the morning.]
The shower stall was frosted glass, but she could make out Brian’s silhouette.
