Chapter 204
Inside the car, Brian remained silent, the tension palpable.
After exchanging a glance, he finally spoke with a restrained voice, “Let's grab a bite together.”
“I've had dinner with Rosie upstairs,” Natalie replied indifferently. She could tell Brian was trying to make amends, lowering his pride in a rare gesture of reconciliation.
Waving at Nate, she added, “You two go ahead.” Her tone left no room for negotiation.
Nate watched as Natalie's figure receded into the distance, a pang of longing visible in his eyes.
It wasn't until she was out of sight that he turned to glare resentfully at Brian.
The father and son locked eyes before Brian spoke indifferently, “If you can’t keep her, what can I do?”
“You must have upset her!” Nate muttered under his breath.
Whenever Brian made Natalie mad, it always fell to Nate to cheer her up. When things seemed to improve, Brian would stir trouble again.
With a heavy sigh, Nate slumped back into his seat. Brian watched his son's head, a frown forming on his face.
“Cut me some slack...” Nate heaved another sigh.
Since Natalie's return, Brian realized Nate's verbal prowess had grown by leaps and bounds. The three-year-old could almost out-argue him.
Nate turned back to face Brian, his expression serious. “Great-grandpa says apologies must be sincere. You're not being sincere.”
Brian couldn't help but frown. Was his son lecturing him on how to behave?
After a moment, he replied with a dark expression, “I got it.” He would find a way to win Natalie back.
The next day, Rosie approached Natalie early in the morning. “We need to go to the office today.”
“There's an issue with your contract. It seems someone didn't sign it, and the process is only halfway done. You don't have to film these next few days, so let's sort it out.”
Natalie's right hand wasn't severely injured, and she could still sign documents.
She nodded. “Okay.”
Upon reaching the office, Rosie exited the elevator, peered into her bag, and frowned. “Oh no, I think I left the contract at my place.”
Natalie was somewhat speechless.

“It's not far. You can wait for me in the lounge. I'll be back in an hour,” Rosie said hurriedly before dashing to the elevator.
After watching her leave, Natalie shook her head and went to the lounge.
Two employees passed by, whispering among themselves.

“If the rumors are true, our company is in big trouble.”
“I think so. Why else would there be sudden layoffs? Two people left just this morning!”
Natalie watched them pass, a frown creasing her forehead as she thought over their conversation.
Suddenly, a commotion broke out near the window. Distracted, Natalie shifted her gaze i thagylirectionAg ou befare. ling“out her newly bought

The noise near the window grew louder, and as Natalie walked past, she took another look.
Outside, several massive hot air balloons were drifting past the office building.
The message emblazoned on the balloons froze Natalie in her tracks.
“Gracia, will you marry Brian?"
