Wife by Day, Boss by Night

Chapter 178

Gracia’s agent shielded her at the airport, shouting at the circling media, “Back off! Gracia didn’t do any of this, so there’s nothing to confess! You’ll see in time the kind of person Gracia is, Time will tell!”

“How can you deny it when she was caught red–handed?”

“And what about all those photos from media outlets abroad? Surely, they can’t all be photoshopped?” The reporters‘ questions were relentless and sharp.

“It’s all a misunderstanding! Stop asking!” The agent’s voice was hoarse from shouting.

Gracia had spent the entire night in tears, Between not eating for a day and struggling with jetlag, she hadn’t slept for almost two days. The noise around her was so overwhelming that it made her head spin. NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

She thought her return home would make her a star,

And it did, in a way. Her name was infamous internationally, with the whole world knowing her as the woman who supposedly traded her dignity for fame and resources.

“I didn’t…” she tried to whisper, and her voice was barely audible.

She had remained a virgin for Brian. How had it all come to this?

“What was that, Ms. Wright?” A reporter saw her lips move and thrust a microphone closer, inciting worse chaos.

The Howard family’s bodyguards and the airport security struggled to maintain order.

Gracia felt a severe dizziness, her mind a blur, as if she were in a dream.

Her life was over, Natalie had destroyed it.

“Gracia, what are you doing?” The agent turned Just in time to see Gracia snatch a Swiss Army knife from a nearby reporter, screaming in horror.

Gracia had turned the blade on her wrist.

“This is the answer you want,” Gracia said with a faint smile to the cameras before slashing her wrist. It was too late for the agent to intervene.

From a distance, Brian saw the commotion at the entrance and witnessed the entire scene of Gracia cutting her wrist.

“Call 911, now!” The agent was nearly out of her wits, crying for help.

“What’s going on?” Brian rushed over to assess the situation.

“It’s these damn reporters! Gracia had no choice!” the agent cried out.

Brian took a quick look around. The reporters were so frightened that they backed away.

He then knelt to inspect Gracia’s wrist. Thankfully, the cut wasn’t deep, and the bleeding wasn’t too rapid.

Frowning deeply, he tore a piece from his shirt and swiftly bandaged her wrist to stem the

bleeding.

“It wasn’t me…” Though weak, Gracia was conscious enough to see Brian tending to her wound. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she burrowed into Brian’s embrace.

Natalie exited the terminal just in time to see them getting into a car.

Turning back, Brian locked eyes with Natalie, who stared coldly at him and Gracia.

“Mr. Howard, this is what you requested,” a bodyguard hesitated before handing Brian a document, Natalie’s information.

“Brian…” Gracia sobbed weakly by his side, calling for his name. The blood had already stained his jacket.

It was a disaster.

“Put it away for now,” Brian said quietly after a moment.

After saying that, he broke eye contact with Natalie and closed the car door.

Natalie watched as Brian’s car quickly disappeared from view. A moment later, she walked to a cab parked at the curb and hefted her luggage into the trunk.

“Miss…” Reid started to approach, intending to help.

“No need,” Natalie said softly, gently pushing Reid away. “I’m sorry for getting you involved. I’ll figure something out.”

At the hospital, the Wright family received the news and rushed over.
