Chapter 84

Natalie had barely uttered several words when King looked up with a piercing gaze, silencing her

immediately.

After a moment, King sighed softly, carefully picked up her bandaged right arm, and said, “I hope it

doesn’t scar. Remember to apply the healing ointment three times a day when you are back in the

country. It should heal up in a few days.”

His Natalie was meant to be flawless, without a single blemish on her body.

“Sure.” Natalie replied with a grin as she sensed his softened tone. “I won’t forget.”

Then, she added in a quieter voice, “Can you not be mad anymore, please?”

She hadn’t returned to upset King, and his head wasn’t totally right yet. He couldn’t handle the

stress.

King watched her for a while, his eyes gradually softening. “Natalie, when I wanted you at the

headquarters, it wasn’t because I expected contributions or sacrifices. I just wanted you to take better

care of yourself. If there’s a next time, I forbid you from setting foot in the headquarters again.”

Natalie understood what King meant, but sometimes, she couldn’t help but want to share his burdens

and ease his load.

“Also… I’ve been thinking about it. Once you officially graduate, I want to marry you,” King said gently,

pinching her cheek and looking into her eyes earnestly.

Natalie had been away for so many days, and he’d been worried about her. He couldn’t wait any

longer. He had to commit to Natalie before she got tangled up with Brian.

As his words hung in the air, Natalie looked up at King, her eyes wide with shock, frozen.

Marry her?

“I’ll give you time to think about it. When you’ve decided, tell me,” King said with a gentle smile,

lowering his voice.

Brian stood silently outside the emergency room in the corridor, watching the intimate scene unfold

before him, his gaze turning frosty by the inch..

Behind him, the hospital director and a group of others stood uncertainly, not understanding why Brian

had suddenly stopped.

Brian fixed his eyes on the man in the wheelchair, dressed in hospital garb. So, Natalie had rushed

back for this guy, abandoning Nate’s birthday party.

After a while, he let out a silent, cold laugh, turned, and continued walking down the corridor.

Reid, who had followed Brian, hadn’t expected that not finding FireWing would result in such a scene.

He treaded carefully behind Brian, not daring to make a sound.

hospital director behind him,

The director immediately summoned King’s hospital records and personal details, handing them to

Brian. “His name’s Kellan Weston, from the same place as you. Mr. Howard He moves to Bluestar ten

years ago. Records show he owns an electronics store.”

Brian’s gaze settled on Kellan’s detailed information

His parents died leaving him an orphan, he attended Bluestar, but drooped out due to a car accident

that took his parents lives. He sold all his family assets and moved to Bluestars where he opened a

modest electronics shop.

The car parked in the hospital spot was a Mercedes E–class, which was not excendiuve, even on

the cheaper side.

So, Natalie drove a Mercedes because of this man.

Brian distinctly remembered Natalie telling him, on the night Nate had a fever, that even if she married

a man less than Shawn, at least he would give her the status of a wife an equal standing.

She saw herself so lightly, all for this man with meager family assets.

His eyes lingered on the passport–sized photo of Kellan in the documents.

*Contact the other hospitals, and from today on, cancel his prescriptions city–wide,” he ordered the

director with a dark tone.

Then, turning to Reid beside him, he commanded, “Follow this address and smash his store.”
