hapter 141 Hide Your Ill Intentions Well
He applied pressure with the sole of his foot. Moments later a loud snap was heard. Judy’s arm was broken. “Ah!” Judy yelped as her already weakened body trembled.
“If
you dare hurt her again, I'll make sure you regret it!” Cedric threatened as he applied more pressure.
Judy could no longer yelp from the excruciating pain she felt as she laid motionless in a of blood. puddle
“Did you think | would have forgotten what you’d done?”
Judy was horrified as her face turned as white as a sheet.
Rita immediately tried to ease the tension by warning Cedric, “This is your grandfather’s home. How could you do something so cruel here? Are you trying to kill her? Let her go, she already apologized for it! You should forgive and forget!”
“Forgive and forget?” Cedric smiled mockingly at Rita. “Did you ever show that same grace to my wife?” He questioned mockingly.
“| never abused Maia. These two incidents are totally different, how could you expect me to do the same?” Rita would never admit the things that she had done to Mala.
“| see. Then, you should be prepared for what might happen to you.” Cedric whispered threateningly as he continued to step on Judy while moving closer to Rita, who was sitting on

Rita knew that Cedric was threatening her with retaliation. He was just biding his time while he gathered evidence proving that she had caused pain and suffering to Maia.
“How could you say this to me? I’m your mother! How could you abandon your mother just because of some woman?” Rita was trembling with anger as she yelled at Cedric,
Her tears continued to flow down her cheeks. Rita was really good at convincing others to show her some sympathy.
“It's not always a good thing to listen to your mother,” Cedric commented quietly. This was the last straw for Rita as her shoulders sagged in defeat.
Cedric instructed the housekeepers to help Rita up. Rita was finally able to stand with their help.
Seconds later, Cedric finally removed his foot from Judy as he sneered coldly at her, “I will make sure to get payback for every ounce of suffering you've inflicted on Maia. Be sure to hide
Even though Cedric was looking at Judy while he was talking, Rita knew he was actually talking to her. Her face was distorted as she listened on.
Cedric then turned to look at Rita and smiled. “Mother, you should take care of yourself.”
Rita shivered at Cedric’s seemingly concerned tone. She was no fool. She knew very well Cedric did not trust anything Josephine had said even though she had claimed that Rita had nothing to do with any of this.
He had chosen to punish Judy as a warning. He had started to suspect her intentions. Rital could not help but tighten her grip on the housekeeper that was supporting her. She could feel her heart beating fast as fear spread through her body.
After accomplishing his purpose, Cedric left the Larkin residence without turning back.
The moment he was outside, Baz approached him and said, “Mr. Cedric, | did as you asked. We've bugged the house, Ms. Rita’s every word is under our surveillance.”
Cedric nodded as he stopped to look up at the balcony Maia had fallen from. He narrowed his eyes dangerously.
One day, he would be able to obtain the evidence that had caused Maia’s miscarriage. When that day came, he would personally send his mother to prison.
Minutes later, Cedric’s cell phone rang. He took a look at the caller’s ID and answered the call. “Yes, grandpa?”
“Where are you, boy? Maia is here! You told me to call you the moment she showed up. Hurry up and get your ass back here!” His grandfather's voice roared.
“She’s at Beverly Manor, now?” Cedric was surprised at how fast Maia was. She had always been kind and grateful to his grandfather.
“Just hurry and get here! It wasn’t easy at all for me to get away from the girl and call you from the bathroom. If she finds out I've told you that she’s here, she'll probably leave!” Hans finished nervously.
“Okay, I’m on my way.” Cedric smiled as he hung up. He walked toward his car as Baz ran toward him and asked, “Where are we going, Mr. Cedric?”
“Beverly Manor.”
“Does this mean that Ms. Maia is already there to see Mr. Larkin? Looks like your plan
worked!” Baz smirked at his boss.
Cedric ignored him and got into the driver's seat. Seconds later, he started the engine and
Baz was left rooted to the spot as his face dropped, “What did | say to upset him this time?”
Back at Peverley Manor, Hans came out of the bathroom smiling as he walked toward the kitchen. “Maia, are you planning to make something tasty for me?”
Maia smiled at Hans and nodded, “Of course! I’m making grandpa’s favorite cream puffs!”
“I'm looking forward to it! Could you add more cream into them? | like them extra sweet! You have no idea how bland my food has been lately. After | recovered, Cedric told the
housekeepers to pay close attention to my diet.”
Hans eyed Fernando who was helping Maia with a distasteful look. “He had even sent Fernando just to nag at me. I’m a grown adult! | don’t need people telling me what to do!”
Maia laughed while she continued to knead her dough. “Grandpa, Fernando is just doing his job. Besides, you have high cholesterol levels and high blood pressure. I'll be making a low-fat version of the cream today. It’s not sweet at all!
“Maia, not you too!” Hans tapped his walking stick onto the marble floor in annoyance. He was acting like an overgrown child as he collapsed onto the nearby couch to sulk
