Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 190

Chapter 190 I’m Your Dear Friend, Aiken! Maia wanted to pull her hand back, but Cedric had an iron grip on it. He lowered his head and blew lightly onto her palm. The strange sensation made her squirm as she demanded, “Cedric, let go of me!” She yanked her hand back forcefully.

“You should go to bed now. Even though your legs are fine, you're still physically injured from the accident. Stop moving about so freely. You should pay attention to your wounds.”

The moment Maia finished, a loud commotion came from the other side of the door. “Hey, why am | not allowed to enter? There may be two of you, but you can’t stop me!” The voice sounded familiar to Maia. “Another intruder,” Cedric commented in annoyance.

Before Maia could respond to Cedric’s statement, she heard the man outside call out to her, ” Ms. Maia, are you inside? It’s Aiken! I’m here to see you! Ms. Maia! Hmph!” Aiken's voice was muffled as the bodyguards covered his mouth.

“Why is he here? Shouldn't he be filming somewhere?” Maia mumbled as she watched Cedric getting back into bed.

She quickly opened the door and left the room. The moment she stepped outside, she saw the bodyguards restraining Aiken. He even had something stuffed into his mouth to silence him. When Aiken saw Maia, his face lit up as he struggled and tried to signal her for help.

Maia almost laughed out loud at how ridiculous he looked. She stifled her laughter and put on a straight face. “Let him go.” The bodyguards nodded and released him instantly.

After he regained his freedom, Aiken took out the gag from his mouth and threw it at one of the bodyguards. “Just because you're big and ugly, doesn’t give you the right to pick on others!”

The bodyguards acted like they were statues as Maia was present. After Aiken was satisfied with taunting them, he his bags and ran toward Maia.

Picked up

“Ms. Maia, | heard that you were involved in a car accident. | wanted to personally make sure if you were okay. Look what I’ve brought you!”

Aiken smiled at her smugly as he showed her the souvenirs he was carrying. Maia did not know how to describe his love for souvenirs as she only shook her head in response.

“We went to Loe Island! Our participants even had the opportunity to stay in the Castle villas.” +15 BONUS

Maia was surprised by this. Loe Island was one of the islands that was turned into a major tourist spot as part of HL Corporation's tourism development project.

The Castle villas were also a popular tourist attraction as they were built to resemble European castles. It cost about 500 dollars a night to stay in them, yet it was still one of their most profitable tourist attractions.

“| brought you souvenirs from Loe Island. Come on, take a look and see if you like anything!” Aiken shoved the bags into Maia’s hands..

Maia looked at the heavy bags as she decided to pretend that she did not know him. “You must be Aiken Cantrell, right? I've heard of you from Cedric.”

Aiken was taken aback by Maia’s words as he looked at her in shock.

“Ms. Maia, what do you mean? Of course, I’m Aiken. What's wrong with you?”

“I'm sorry. | have amnesia, so | don’t exactly remember you.”

Aiken grabbed Maia’s head in surprise, “Amnesia? Ms. Maia, are you okay? How could you forget someone as charming as | am?”

“I'm sorry. | really don’t.”

Aiken felt a sense of helplessness wash over him as he studied Maia’s timid disposition. He almost teared up as he commented, “How could the iron lady | once knew turn into such a timid girl?”

“Was | that intimidating?” Maia asked as she played along.

“You were the most capable woman I’ve ever known!” Aiken nodded incessantly.

“Then, how did | address you? Mr. Cantrell?”ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Aiken shook his head and smiled brightly, “You used to call me charming Aiken!”

Maia fought the urge to beat him senseless as she smiled, “I don’t think | would call anyone by that name, right?” “I'm not just anyone. I’m your dear friend, charming Aiken!” Aiken struck a pose and winked

at her.

Just as Aiken finished. The sound of a wheelchair was heard followed by Cedric’s roar, “Throw him out of here!” The bodyguards moved toward Aiken in a flash as they received Cedric’s orders.

“Wait!” Aiken shouted. He ran toward Maia and took the bags out of her hands and passed

them to Cedric.

“Mr. Cedric, | heard that you were in an accident with Ms. Maia. | brought these souvenirs. specially for you!” “You're here to see me?”

Aiken nodded sincerely.

Maia was flabbergasted. Just awhile ago, Aiken had said that those souvenirs were special for her.

“Do | know you?” Cedric asked.

“You know Maia and Maia knows me. So, in a way, we do know each other.” Aiken reasoned perfectly. He wanted to give himself a pat on the back for his wit.

“Do you know him?” Cedric turned to Maia and asked.

“| think | used to, but | don’t really know if | know him now.” Maia had no choice but to play along as she was supposed to have amnesia.

Aiken’s face fell as he came up with an excuse to leave. “Ms. Maia, it was nice to see you healthy and fine. I'll leave these souvenirs here. | just remembered | have an advert to shoot. I'll be leaving now. Catch you later!”
