Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 199

Chapter 199 I'll End Her Myself

Errol watched as Cedric left. Then, he stared at the pack of cigarettes on the bench and smiled. He had to admit that men shared an unspoken language sometimes. A pack of cigarettes would help alleviate his uncase.

Errol headed back to Celia’s ward once the reek of cigarettes on him had worn off. It was seven o’clock. Thanks to Maia’s soothing attitude, Celia was smiling and speaking now. He was a little surprised.

“Have you eaten anything, Celia?” He smiled and signed.

She nodded and said affectionately, “I have. Were you able to rest? Why do you look so worn out?”

“| rested. I’m not tired at all. You'll see. We're going to count the stars on the moonlit sky tonight.”

Celia turned and looked out the window, “I’m sure the moon is going to be brilliant and there’s going to be a sea of stars tonight!” “Exactly.” Errol nodded. Maia smiled and rose. They were such a lovely couple. She was going to give them some privacy.

She waved at Celia. “Get some rest. I’m going to leave now that your boyfriend is here. I'll visit you again soon.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“You don’t have to worry about anything. Starlight Entertainment is going to take care of everything. As | said, the company is your shield and | mean it.*

Maia still remembered that she was pretending to have lost her memory. So, she didn’t speak in her usual assertive manner. Instead, she spoke softly. Meekly, even. That was how she was three years ago.

Celia nodded, “Thank you, Maia.” She was sincere when she said it.

“Thank you, sis. | know you and Cedric won't leave any stone unturned. With his capability, I'm sure he can get to the bottom of it.” Errol signed quickly.

Maia nodded, waved at them again, and left. Cedric was waiting outside, standing by the wall. She frowned and said nonchalantly, “What did you find out from Errol?”

He looked at her. She seemed so sure that there was something going on. “What makes you so sure | talked to him?”

“I'm his sister. | know him. He bit his tongue in the hallway earlier. | knew there was something on his mind, but he must've had some concerns because he didn’t say anything

Celia.”

“Why are you so sure | talked to him? Do you know me as well as that?”

Maia was a little surprised. She grinned. “That’s impossible. No one would ever know what you’re thinking, Cedric. All | know is you won’t give up on a lead at this juncture.

“Errol’s demeanor was strange enough that | was sure you’d talk to him. He seemed a little less gloomy when he came back to the ward. So, | surmised he must've talked to you.

“You can rightly wear the crown of Starlight Entertainment's CEO.” The same could be said for her status as his wife.

“Did Errol also say Aunt Tess might be related to this incident?” Maia told him her speculation. Cedric nodded, hinting that she was right.

She tightened her knuckles, hatred and rage flashed furiously in her eyes. She couldn't believe Tess was a part of the horrific thing that happened to Celia!

“Why? Why would she do this? Celia didn’t provoke her at all. There was no reason for her to do this.”

“Tess wanted Errol to marry the daughter of the shipping company’s CEO,” Cedric said plainly. “Shipping company? Did she mean the biggest shipping company in Prismara?” Maia had heard about it too. That CEO’s third daughter was a mute. She probably ran into Errol at a party.

“That’s right.” Cedric answered and said, “Errol told me that Tess said she'll take matters into her own hands if he doesn’t break up with Celia.”

“Why, though? Why would she do that? Are you telling me she did what she did to Celia just because Errol wouldn’t marry the CEO's daughter? That seems a little far-fetched.

“It's certainly going to help the winery’s logistics if Errol had married her, but she can’t subject Celia to such a horrible fate simply because of that!”

Maia could not put her finger on it. She asked Cedric again before he could say anything, What else did he tell you?” “He also said that Tess is the type of person who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.”

Maia’s frown deepened. “Is she trying to control Errol’s life? Does she intend to take over both Starlight Entertainment and Burgess Winery?”

Maia was horrified. If what she had guessed was true, then Tess had done a good job at hiding her true colors. To think that the person they needed to fear the most was already in their life in the most

He meant that she should keep up their cover when they’re in public.

“I'll work with you, Cedric. | also promised you that | won’t fight back once the deal is done. However, you have to promise me something too.

“Aside from leaving you, I'll say yes to any requests you make,” Cedric said firmly

Maia frowned and bit her lip. There was a fierce gleam in her eyes.
