Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 205

Chapter 205 I'll Do It for You

“Maia, thank you for comforting me the other day. I’m truly grateful for what you’ve done for me. However, I’m not as strong as you are. Not everyone could overcome a bad experience, and sadly, I’m one of them.

This is my way of ending all the suffering. I'm sorry that I’ve disappointed all of you. | love Errol very much, but | can’t stay with him forever. I'm sorry.” The letter was simply

heartbreaking as Maia cried sadly. “Ms. Maia.”

Maia heard someone addressing her as she scrambled to dry her tears and regain her composure. She turned toward the voice and saw a police officer walking toward her.

“Ms. Maia, we're done talking to Mr. Errol. For now, we can only assume that Ms. Celia had committed suicide. More and more fans of Ms. Celia are gathering at the hospital.

“We hope that as her ex—boss, you could talk to her fans and the media about the news and to ask them not to crowd around the hospital.”

Maia knew the severity of this issue. Those fans and media have been causing major disruptions to the hospital. They were also causing unnecessary congestion and delaying emergency personnel from getting into the hospital.

Maia nodded, “I'll settle it.”Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“Thank you, Ms. Maia.”

“It's the least | can do. How’s my brother doing?” Maia asked as she could not see him anywhere.

“He’s still traumatized from the event. We've made sure that someone is with him at all times. Please don’t worry.” Maia thanked the officer and walked toward the nearby elevator.

The moment the elevator’s doors opened, a man in a black suit stepped out of it and came toward her. Before Maia could react, he had dragged her inside the elevator.

Maia tripped and fell against his chest.

“There’s cameras inside the elevators.” He added smugly before Maia could struggle out of his grip.

Maia furrowed her brows as there were more important things to worry about. “What are you doing here?” “Let me talk to the media.’

As the CEO of Starlight Entertainment, she would have to be the one to address the

press and Celia fans. However, Maia was also supposed to have lost her memory. If she acted too calm and collected in front of the public, this would only make Tess suspicious.

There were only a few days before the charity event next week. She could not afford to make any mistakes!

Maia complied as she started to tell Cedric everything she knew. The moment the elevator doors opened when they got to the first floor, Cedric gently shoved Maia toward Baz and his bodyguards.

“Take good care of her,” Cedric instructed. Baz nodded as he signaled the others to surround Maia and follow behind Cedric.

Maia lifted her head and looked at Cedric’s back with conflicting emotions. Her gaze followed him as he walked through the entrance of the hospital and down the steps.

The moment the press saw them, they rushed toward them in a craze. Some reporters had even started broadcasting the event live.

They were flooded with questions as the cameras tried to capture a glimpse of Maia.

“Try to take a photo of her, if you dare!” Cedric warned. The crowd that was closing in against them immediately stopped as the press rushed to lower their cameras.

Even though Cedric’s bodyguards had already built a wall around him and Maia, the press was still relentless as they tried ways to push their microphones closer to them.

“Mr. Cedric, did Celia really kill herself, or was foul play involved?”

“Did Celia choose to end her life because she was raped? Did the incident damage her so much psychologically that she chose to take this extreme step?”

“Mr. Cedric, is it true that Celia and Ms. Maia’s brother were a couple? Was he by her side ever since that incident happened?” “Could you give us some insights about the incident?”

“As you can see, we're all really concerned about Celia. Could you give us an update about

her?”

Cedric frowned in distaste as he glanced at those reporters. “Which media outlet are you

from?”

The reporters paled as they met his eyes and immediately kept quiet.

“Baz.”

“Got it, boss. I'll make sure to take note of them. We'll get in touch with their managers shortly.” Baz smiled cheerfully as he looked at the reporters in question.

Cedric only kept capable people around him, especially his personal assistant, who was more than competent enough for the job.

The chaos instantly subsided as no one else dared speak a word.

Cedric looked at Baz and nodded. Baz immediately took charged and addressed the press professionally, “We know that you have many questions but right now, we don’t have all the

answers. “However, we promise to update the press the moment we're able to obtain further

information from the police. Starlight Entertainment will address this issue publicly as soon as possible.

“We urge the public not to crowd around the hospital as this would cause inconvenience and disruption to the hospital.”

Cedric cleared his throat and added. “So, do you wish to leave on your own, or do you need assistance to be escorted out of the hospital’s vicinity?”

No one dared anger Cedric further and the press scrambled to leave. However, Celia’s fans continued to stay. “Mr. Cedric, what should we do to Ms. Celia’s fans? Should we escort them

1 out?”

“First, try to reason with them. If they refuse, then do what you have to.”

Baz nodded and went to work.

Under the guidance of his bodyguards, Cedric walked Maia to his car. When Maia was about to get in, Errol came running toward her from th

hospital!
