Worship The Ground You Walk On

Chapter 79 You Must Cure Her

Chapter 79 You Must Cure Her

“Who was the person that poisoned you?”

Claudia was astonished by his question.

She felt like all of her blood was clotting and all the muscle in her body was rigid. She felt like her brain

was like a broken TV.

“Tell me! I need to know the truth!” he said genuinely and firmly.

“Don’t you believe me? I won’t hurt you, Claudia! You need to tell me the truth so that I can help you!”

Claudia closed her eyes painfully, and her hands were loosened powerlessly.

She trusted Marshall, that was for sure.

She didn’t know whether it was about affection or love, but the relationship between them, which was

founded and forged by the experience of growing up with each other, could support her trust in him

alone.

But sometimes, when you trusted more about a person, you wanted to protect him more.

Besides, the secret had a huge impact on the future of the Evans family. She couldn’t make a rash act.

Then, she opened her eyes, which were clear and determined, and smiled slightly like nothing

happened.

Claudia said in sign language, “Don’t ask questions again, Marshall. It’s all over. I’m fine, really.”

“Claudia…”

Marshall paused and stared at her eyes. He felt the sense of bitterness was getting stronger in his

mind.

“Who are you trying to cover for? Amber?” Marshall guessed.

She shook her head, “Though she is capricious and arrogant, and doesn’t get along well with me, she

is not a bad guy. Don’t suspect her like this.”

After all, Amber was her sister with the same father. Even though Amber was hostile to her all along

and ensnared her, she still rendered good for evil and tried to resolve the conflict.

“Who else can it be? Is it…”

He seemed to have an answer, but he wasn’t sure.

Because, if it was really that person, she must be involved in a huge conspiracy.

Marshall looked into her eyes and only felt sorry for her. He held Claudia in his arms and said, “If you

don’t want to tell me, I won’t ask questions for it anymore. But Claudia, you must treat your throat and

get your voice back, ok?”

It reminded her of Ann’s words. Since GK Project was launched, she could rescue her mother very

soon. Once she could bring her mother back, she could retaliate Blair and her husband without any

concern.

Thinking about this, she nodded and said in sign language, “Fine, I will accept the treatment.”

“Call me if you need anything. I can stop asking for a reason, so you must call me when you are in

need!” Marshall said.

Though Claudia looked weak and feminine, she had a soul which was tougher than the stone.

It was hard to imagine what she had been going through in these years.

Marshall got in the car and was about to leave. Carelessly, he saw a black Rolls-Royce was parking on

the side of the road. He always felt familiar with this car.

But soon the car was started up and moved away. So he stopped thinking about it and drove home.

However, in the Rolls-Royce, a man was sitting on the back seat dismally. The man, who was wearing

a clean, delicate suit without any crease, was watching the mansion of the Crawfords.

Later, he took out the phone and made a call.

“Cliff, you must cure her by all possible means!”

Hanging up the phone, Ben was still leaning on the seat. He frowned with a load of thoughts coming

into his mind. She finally asked for the treatment, didn’t she?

A voice had been haunting him in his mind for so many years.

“Well… Can I call you brother?”

It was her at the age of five, following him carefully. When he turned around and found her, her face

turned red like an apple and said this worriedly.

In the mansion, Claudia lost in thought when Marshall was gone.

She just wanted to take a try and see whether she could talk again. She didn’t intend to tell everything

right away.

It was not the time yet. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.

At least, she needed to collect some solid evidence and secure Ann first.

Having so many things to consider, she felt a little bit perturbed.

At this moment, her phone rang.

It was a message from Scott.

“Let’s meet and have a little talk about Ms. S.”

Claudia held the phone tighter.

Scoot knew she was S! She couldn’t let her guard down on him!

In downtown, Scoot booked all the seats in Yonder Tea House. Therefore, Claudia became the only

guest in the afternoon.

Once she arrived, the waiter led her to the private room upstairs immediately. In the aroma of coffee, a

handsome man sitting opposite her. He was wearing casual clothes, which looked less dominant and

more leisurely.

His strength and aggressiveness were hidden, but not disappeared. Claudia could still feel he was a

dangerous man.

He served a cup of coffee for her when she sat down. That was a cup of expresso with milk and sugar.

Scott looked at her intimately and said in a frivolous tone.

“I haven’t seen you for a long time, Claudia! Do you miss me?”

“…”

Claudia looked at him indifferently and said in sign language, “Cut the crap. What’s the deal?”

“So, what’s your identity when you are saying this? Claudia? Or Miss S?”

Claudia closed her eyes helplessly. She still didn’t understand how he would know she was S.

Staring at her, Scott smiled slightly, “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about this. In fact, I will keep the

secret for you until you want to unveil it.”

Claudia was surprised and raised her eyebrows, “Why?”

“That’s simple. I want to get GK Project.”

She smiled in relief but didn’t respond.

“Do you think the Palmer Group has the chance to win this?” Scott said.

Claudia looked at him confusedly, “I don’t know!”

She didn’t tell him that GK Project was designed for Ben and the Crawford Group. How is that possible

for the Palmer Group to win the project?
