Chapter 97 Getting Back Together
Chapter 97 Getting Back Together
After Claudia got Ann back, she brought her to the hospital for a general check-up.
Also, Claudia went to the office of Cliff and see whether the result of the biopsy came out.
Once she opened the door, Cliff turned to look at her with a happy face, “You are finally here, Claudia!”
Most of the patients were much worried about the test result and hoped to read it as soon as possible.
However, Claudia was different. She wouldn’t even remember that if she wasn’t bringing her mother to
the hospital this time.
And Cliff didn’t urge her, just waited and saw when she could remember this.
“You want to know the test result?” he mystified and took the result from the drawer.
Claudia nodded calmly.
But Cliff was confused and frowned, “Don’t you even worried about that?”
Hearing this, she smiled slightly.
She knew what Cliff really wanted to say was, “Why don’t you care about that? Are you ready to die?”
Claudia looked at him solemnly.
“Why? If it’s malign, you really don’t have much time left!” he said.
It was just an alarmist talk to her.
Later, Claudia replied in sign language, “I’m not going to die instantly. Why do I have to worry so much
about that? No matter how much time is left to me, it doesn’t matter anymore. Just take it easy.”
Cliff was defeated by her optimism and passed the test result to her.
“You really got me! Among all of my patients, you are the one who has the most positive attitude.”
Claudia smiled slightly and read the result.
It was just a benign tumor.
“It’s benign. I suggest that we remove the tumor and treat your throat at the same time in the surgery
so that you can regain your voice sooner. If you are fine with that, I’m going to plan the surgery,” Cliff
said and sat down at the desk.
Claudia thought for a while and stopped him.
“I’m afraid that I don’t have any spare time for the surgery recently. Can you plan the surgery later?”
she asked in gestures.
“That’s fine. But even if the surgery is done, you need some time to get recover, and it’s going to be a
long time!” Cliff said.
She nodded to show she understood it.
Then she talked about the situation of her throat with him for a while and left the office. While the result
showed that Ann had some health problems and needed to be hospitalized for a while.
Claudia went through the admission procedures for her and accompanied her in the afternoon. It was
not until night that she decided to go home.
“You don’t need to do so much me, my girl. All you need to do is to take care of yourself,” Ann sighed.
She loved Claudia most but could do little for her.
Claudia smiled slightly and made the gestures, “All I want is to have my mother with me.”
Ann stroked her forehead and said, “And I want is to see you in good health! You need to cure your
throat problem!”
She nodded firmly.
She would cure her throat problem sooner or later, but before that, she had something to deal with.
Once she walked out of the hospital, she was surrounded by a crowd of journalists with a bunch of
microphones.
Some staff members were even recording with a camera like it was a live stream. Claudia was
completely confused.
“Claudia, it’s said that you are the one who causes the turbulence of the Evans Group. Is that true?”
“As a member of the Evans family, why do you scheme against your own sister and stepparents?
“Are you doing this just for scrambling for the family property? But you have already in the Crawford
family, which is known for its wealth and influence. Is that because you are badly treated in the
Crawfords?”
“Is that because Mr. Crawford doesn’t give you money to spend? Please answer it, Mrs. Crawford!:
They knew Claudia couldn’t speak, so they even brought a sign language interpreter.
They could know what she meant when she was expressing in sign language.
How considerable!
But what made her confused was, why she was involved in the stuffs of the Evans family?
And all these journalists…
Obviously, it was Blair and Amber’s idea.
Claudia couldn’t get away from the crowd, but she couldn’t speak for herself but could only allow
people making stupid assumptions for no reason.
Somebody even changed the topic to Ben and tried to create some scandals about the Crawfords so
that they had something shocking in the headline.
Meanwhile, someone reached out a helping hand to her.
Hanna thrust her way into the crowd and moved close to Claudia.
“You guys are misunderstanding Claudia!” she yelled and tried to prove her innocent.
However, the news about the Lewis's was also popular these days, and Hanna was also popular for
journalists. The appearance of Hanna not only surprised them, but also amazed them.
“the Lewis's has been in a crisis recently, but Mr. Crawford is helping the Lewis's continuously during
the crisis. Does it mean you and Mr. Crawford are getting back together?”
“Why are trying to help Miss Crawford, Miss Lewis? Isn’t she your rival in love?”
“What’s the relationship between you and Mr. Crawford? Can you explain it, Miss Lewis.”
“It’s said that the marriage between Miss Crawford and Mr. Crawford is nominal. Is that true?”
The questions from the journalists were hitting them like a storm.
While Claudia and Hanna were stuck in the storm and couldn’t get rid of it.
Suddenly, a cameraman lost his balance and fell down on the ground, which hit Hanna who was next to Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
him, and caused her to lose her balance.
In the chain reaction, a number of people were fell down and Hanna was beneath all of them.
The situation was so chaotic that even a journalist proposed to have a live broadcast.
Meanwhile, in the reference hall of the Crawford Group, the representative of K Group was discussing
the preliminary plan of CCU Project, but Ben was attracted by the news on TV.
He stood up quickly and turned up the volume, staring at the lady who was pushed down by the others
deeply.
“Mr. Crawford, about the CCU Project, you…”
Before the representative could finish his words, he was stopped by Ben. He turned off the TV, grabbed
the jacket and car key, and walked out of the room quickly, “Let’s discuss it later!”
The representative, who had been waiting for half a month and came here from the other side of the
earth, was left by him.
