Chapter 1037 Calling for Back-up
Chapter 1037 Calling for Back-up
Both Finlay and his men were extremely irritated by the provocation of Maximilian. Angrily, they rushed
to Maximilian again and tried to take him down.
However, no matter how hard they tried, they all failed to hurt him even a tiny bit.
Maximilian was tired of quarreling and fighting these fellows. He then knocked them backwards and
said, "You guys are too weak to be my match."
He had been through many other things which were even worse.
"What the hell are you guys doing? Use your batons!" Finlay disdained to give in to Maximilian and
sweared inside that he had to teach him a lesson.
Without showing any mercy, those fellows then attacked violently Maximilian with batons in their hands.
However, Maximilian's movement was so fast that they could barely catch up with it. Suddenly, a man
was knocked into the air by Maximilian and fell down to the ground heavily.
In fear, those men were all stunned by what they had seen and dared not to step further.
While, prompted by Finlay, they still toughened their scalp and rushed to Maximilian fiercely and
recklessly.
Maximilian laughed at their bold courage, and took them down with little effort.
Seeing that his men were all knocked to the ground, Finlay was extremely angry and thought that
Maximilian was such an arrogant and defiant man.
"You're doomed, asshole! Just wait and see!" Shouted Finlay in anger.
Smiling, Maximilian just looked at him sneeringly.
Finlay then walked out of the room and brought in a strong man.
The man, obsequiously, stood by Finlay and asked, "What may I serve you, Captain Bradley?"
Inside of him, he was grateful to Finlay who had not only freed him from the imprisonment for affray but
also offered him a position as a bodyguard.
He had long been waiting for an opportunity to display himself, and it seemed to him that today was the
day.
Finlay smiled, "There is an old saying that a thousand days the leader nurtures his soldiers and for one
day's battle, and today is exactly the day I need you to fight for me."
The man thumped his chest and said, "I will do anything you ask me to do, Captain Bradley!"
"Very well! Now, do me a favor: teach that guy a lesson, and if you fail, I will not go easy on you!" Finlay
sneered.
The strong man was delighted to hear that Finlay was ordering him to kick someone's ass, since it was
exactly what he was good at. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
"But what if I overdo it?" The strong man asked.
"That will be great if you can. This one has looked down upon me, and I want him to pay for it! Don't
worry, I will be responsible for any outcomes." Finlay waved his hand and said impatiently.
His words inspired the strong man to prepare himself for fighting Maximilian.
As Finlay turned around and got back inside the room, he was stunned to find that his fellows were all
modestly kneading Maximilian's shoulder and pounding his back.
He glared at Maximilian as if a starving beast was coveting its prey, and sweared that he must make
Maximilian pay for being defiant and arrogant in front of him.
Then, he turned to the strong man and gave him a wink. The strong man understood what he meant,
then stepped towards Maximilian aggressively and stared at him with a fierce look in her eyes — a look
that could only be seen from the eyes of killer.
However, it stunned him that Maximilian was still remaining calm and silent.
At that moment when he caught Maximilian's eyes, he was stunned by the terrible and overwhelming
murderous feeling that was continuously sending out from them.
In the next second, he was brought back to reality by Maximilian's punch in his stomach. He laid on the
ground with his hands covering his tummy and groaned in pain.
Finlay awkwardly rubbed his forehead and thought that he was disgracing himself by letting the strong
guy do the job.
After a while, as the strong man went over physical pain, he then gritted his teeth, glared at Maximilian
and rushed to him again fiercely again.
Smiling, Maximilian fought back instantaneously with an irresistible strike on the man's face. Though
the strong man did catch up with Maximilian's movement with his eyes, he was still too dull to defend
Maximilian's attack.
The pain caused him to stagger and take a few steps backwards.
Plainly, Maximilian said, "You're far too weak to fight me, boy."
As the strong man turned around and was about to escape, he was knocked backwards by Finlay's
cold eyes.
He knew that if he ever surrendered to Maximilian, he would definitely suffer something worse from
Finlay.
As if losing his mind, the strong man was then hell-bent on rushing towards Maximilian.
In the second, Maximilian caught the man in his neck and knocked him down.
Dazed, the man felt the whole world was turned upside down, and lost consciousness.
Finlay was stunned by Maximilian, who had easily taken down a man who was not only seemingly
much stronger than him but also capable of fighting dozens of men at the same time.
He had never expected that one of his best bodyguards would be taken down by Maximilian with no
effort. At that moment, as his eyes caught those of Maximilian, he was terrified as if he was confronting
a demon.
"Step back! I said step back! Dare you to get any closer, I swear I will make you pay for that!" Slowly,
Finlay took his steps backwards and shouted in fear.
The next second, he could only see a shadow flashing through his sight, and then heard a reverberant
and clear sound of slapping.
