Chapter 1107 The Auction Item Was Sold in the Halfway
The boss and young man finally released when finding Maximilian wasn’t haggling over with them.
They would be screwed up if Maximilian didn’t show them mercy.
The young man felt as if he had survived from a disaster and was relieved for not losing his life.
Maximilian didn’t say anything and turned to look at the security guard, saying coldly, “You didn’t
believe me just now. What’s your opinion now?”
The security guard’s face began to twitch. It seemed that he couldn’t escape the destiny from being
punished. He hurriedly answered, “I am sorry. I am the one who fail to recognize your real identity.
Please forgive me.”
Maximilian responded coldly, “I am not a big name and you are not a nobody.”
The boss figured out Maximilian was hinting him to punish the security guard. He immediately scolded
the security guard and yelled, “You don’t have to work for me from today. Get out.”
The security guard was stupefied because it was the best job he could find. He wanted to explain,
however, after seeing the boss’s expression, he immediately shut up.
He took a deep breath and didn’t dare say anything. He then sighed and decided to accept the reality.
He was so regretful now. If offering him another chance, he wouldn’t bother Maximilian. What a shame
that there was no regret pill in the world.
After the security guard leaving sadly, Maximilian and Harley successfully got to the auction, marking
an end for the trouble happened just now.
The by-standers were all astonished for not expecting what happened. They all made up their mind that
they would definitely stay away from Maximilian and not find him trouble.
Harley said when getting in, “It’s just a normal auction. I have been to lots of auctions and have a seat
in the VIP room. This place is just a mess.”
“What? You don’t want to be here?” Maximilian asked.
Harley rubbed his head. He forgot that he was not the popular subordinate of dragon queen. He
hurriedly replied, “Nothing. I only want to express my feeling.”
Maximilian continued, “Indeed, this place is not of a good environment. After all, it is simply an auction
and there is no need for extravagant decoration. The core today is the auction item.”
Maximilian was not interested in joining an auction because he didn’t know much about antiques. The
only reason he was here today was the key of dragon sect.
Gradually, more and more people came.
The boss wanted to arrange a front seat for Maximilian, but the latter one refused him.
Maximilian didn’t want to be the focus for everyone. All seats were the same for him.
The boss finally left and returned to the first row. One of the rich men asked out of curiosity, “Philip,
where have you been?”
“I have met a big figure today and he is Connor’s friend. At first, I wanted him to sit in the first roll, but
he refused.” Philip was the boss’s name.
The rich man shook his head and replied, “This is a nice place and many people won’t get a chance
even if they want to sit here. There must be something wrong with that man’s head.”
Philip became worried when hearing his words. He hurriedly looked around. After assuring that
Maximilian was too far from them to hear the conversation, he wept his cold sweat and looked at him,
frowning, “Be careful what you said. I don’t want to die.”
The rich man stopped gossiping when noticing Philip’s serious look.
“Philip, one chinaware strikes my fancy and it is exactly what your auction is for. Why don’t you sell it to
me since we’re good friends? Tell me your ideal price and I promise I won’t let you down.” The rich man
suddenly suggested.
Philip was hesitated when hearing his words, “I don’t think that’s a good idea. After all, today’s auction
is going to start.”
“Philip, you should break your old rule. I know most of the audiences won’t come for that chinaware.”
The rich man smiled.
Philip thought for a while and found what the rich man said make sense. He could make extra money
by selling the chinaware to him. If he didn’t, he would definitely regret it.
“Okay. Deal.” Philip replied.
The rich man laughed when hearing this. That was exactly what he wanted. At first, he was worried
whether Philip would sell him the chinaware, now he could finally release.
Philip continued, “I will give it to you at the end of this auction.”
The auction finally began. Maximilian was not interested in observing the auction items. Maybe that NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
was because what the commentator said was too boring. Maximilian couldn’t help yelling and squinted
his eyes, saying, “I have to take a nap. Please keep an eye for me. Wake me up when the auction
begins, if you can’t, just try your best to let the price remain steady.”
“Okay.”
Harley concentrated and observed the auction items carefully.
There were lots of auction items one after another, but the chinaware was not in the list.
Harley became confused. Why the chinaware was not presented? It was almost time for the last item.
Was it in the last position? That didn’t make sense. It didn’t have the value and should be presented in
the middle of this auction.
Harley began to worry whether he had missed it or not. Was the chinaware being sold to others? In that
way, how was he going to say to Mr. Lee?
Maximilian raised up his head and said, “There are really lots of auction items today. Why is still not the
chinaware’s turn?”
Maximilian almost fell asleep for half an hour and what he wanted was still not presented.
Harley frowned and said, “That’s strange. It should be auctioned today, but I haven’t seen it.”
“Maybe you have missed it.” Maximilian said coldly.
Harley showed a vexed expression and said, “I don’t know. Maybe I have missed it.”
Maximilian rubbed his forehead. He shouldn’t let Harley keep an eye on what happened. However, he
still believed that Harley wouldn’t make mistake and let him find the auction boss.
Philip knew Harley because he was standing beside Mr. Lee and might be his friend. He naturally
would treat him friendly.
Harley said, “Mr. Lee wants to meet you.”
