Chapter 131 Yu Wenhuai's Despair
Chapter 131 Yu Wenhuai's Despair
Yuan Qingling smiled slightly.
However, Prince Wenhuai also heard their conversation. It seemed like Princess Ji wasn’t being subtle
about it.
He sneered with sarcasm, "I believe you heard that too. It's not that I'm being pessimistic or anything.
It's just no one believes that I could live."
"I don't care what others say, and neither should you. I am the doctor here. What I say is more
important than what others say."Yuan Qingling carried a chair to his bedside and sat on it.
Yu Wenhuai looked at her and chuckled. "How can I trust you when you are wearing a mask?”
"Are you still upset about the mask?" Yuan Qingling asked. She didn't know he was still thinking about
it.
Yu Wenhuai answered calmly, "Of course not. Just feels like it's judging me. Like I am a sinner who is
spreading death."
"You are mistaken. You are not a sinner. You are the victim. And for my mask, I can take it off. But it will
expose me to the disease. Though I may not get infected, I still can't risk it. My life is precious to me
too, and I will do everything to protect myself. I know it hasn't been easy for you, lying on the bed,
couldn't go anywhere, and almost laughing your lungs out every time you cough for the last three
years. So it's understandable that you don't believe doctors. I believe you have experienced it before,
getting better at first, getting your hopes up, and it would fail after a few days. I know you are afraid of
disappointment.”
Yu Wenhuai didn't say anything about it. Yet his silence told Yuan Qingling that she was right about it.
"You have to be an optimist about it, you have to believe in yourself and be prepared for a fight. Lung
disease like this is dangerous. If you don’t have faith in yourself, I can't cure you even with the best
medicine. And if you don't want to cooperate, you can just tell me. There is no need to waste time."
"You think I am not cooperative enough?"Yu Wenhuai wasn't happy about Yu Qingling's words, and
that made his face flush. He moved his head back and leaned against the side of the towel he used to
cough.
"I know you are just acting as you listen to me. You don't believe me and yourself."Yuan Qinling stood
up and walked to his bedside. She raised the towel that he coughs and found a few wet tablets that she
gave him.
He must've been holding it in his mouth when he was asked to take them and spit it out when no one
was watching. Yuan Qingling hadn't known about that until Yu Wenhuai leaned to the towel and she
saw a pill underneath it.
Then Yuan Qingling knew he never believed her. Maybe he thought if he didn't take the medicine, he
wouldn't get his hopes up.
Yuan Qingling was very disappointed. Those drugs were telling Yuan Qingling that Yu Wenhuai hadn’t
taken most of the drugs she had given him since last night.
"The pills you spit out are the things that could've saved your life. If you don't care about your life, I
don't have the right to push you. It's your choice. If you want your mom to watch you die and be
devastated about it, you can do whatever you want."
"Shut up! I don't want you here!" Yu Wenhuai sat straight all of a sudden and shouted.
Yuan Qingling turned around, walked two steps, and stopped all of a sudden. She turned around after a
few seconds and picked up a chair and smashed it on the ground. With a loud noise, the chair broke
into several pieces.
Her eyes reddened with anger. "What's wrong with you? You don't get to throw a fit! Do you think I'm
enjoying this? I am here to cure you, to help you. And this is how you say thank you? Few people will
appreciate it if I succeed in curing you, but do you know what happens if I fail? If you die? A lot of
people will be blamed and punished because of your death. I will be punished too! You have no idea
how expensive and rare these drugs are! If you don't want that, I can just save other people with them!
Let me tell you something. If you dare to spit out the medicines that I give you ever again, I will kill you
so that no one will waste their time. You are ill, but just physically, not mentally. You can't just lose all
the hope just because Princess Ji said you could die. And you can't possibly think no one is expecting
you to get better. Can't you see your siblings? Why do you think they are here? Princess Wenling is
here to take care of you even though Queen Xian didn't agree to her coming here! You don't care any
of that? If you don't, then you are an asshole!"
Yuan Qingling left the room after venting out.
Everyone was shocked.
Yuan Qingling hadn't thought about what would happen after she said those things to Yu Wenhuai.
Thus, everyone outside heard her words, and that included Queen Lu, who had just arrived.
Princess Ji's face turned pale. She grabbed Yuan Qingling's arms and asked angrily, "What do you
mean, Princess Chu? Do you mean I don't want Prince Wenhuai to get better? How can you say things
like that?"
Yuan Qing's anger was burning, and Princess Ji wasn't helping to quench it. Yuan Qingling couldn't
repress her anger anymore. She looked at Prince Ji and asked, "You wanted him to get better? Then
why do you say things like that! How did you think he would react after he heard your words? Are you
doing that on purpose? Did you ever mention how tricky his condition was, and I couldn't treat him at
all? Tell me the truth! Did you or did you not?"
Princess Ji was trembled and almost fainted from anger.
Queen Lu heard their confrontation and yelled, "Shut up, both of you! Why are you growling here? Can
someone tell me what the hell is going on?" This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Yu Wenling explained, "Princess Ji said that Wenhuai could die, and after a while, Princess Chu yelled
at Wenhuai because he didn’t want to take his medicine.”
Yuan Qingling suppressed her anger and bowed to Queen Lu. "I'm sorry, my queen. I didn't mean to
wake you up. It's just Prince Wenhuai spit out the drugs that I asked him to take last night. If he keeps
doing that, I won't be able to save you. I think we have to tell the Emperor the truth."
"He spits them out? But he got better last night!" Queen Lu asked with a startle.
"That was because I injected him some drugs besides the medicine he took. I was serious when I said
Prince Wenhuai should take his medicine on time every day. I don't know why he did something like
that. Maybe someone said something to him and made him believe he was hopeless."
Queen Lu gasped with shock. After a few seconds, she looked at Princess Ji and asked, "Did you say
anything to him?"
"No, I didn't, my Queen." Princess Ji panicked.
A servant knelt on the ground all of a sudden and said, "I have to tell you the truth, my Queen. Princess
Ji visited Prince Wenhuai last night and said the Emperor asked Princess Chu to treat him just for the
show. Princess Ji said the Emperor had given up on him, and that was why he asked all the other
doctors to leave!"
Queen Lu was fuming. She pointed at Princess Ji for a while and fainted.
