Chapter 405
Chapter 405
Bridget's face grew solemn. "This is Jasper's child."
Ah?
Daisy was startled.
"Jasper's child?"
She looked at Arya in disbelief.
Arya nodded and gave her an answer. "What Bridget said is true. Jasper... is gone. The mother of the
child wants to have a new life, so she asked me to take care of the child."
As she spoke, she looked at Daisy and Mr. Jones seriously. "Dad, mom, I hope you agree. Jasper's
death has something to do with me... I think I should take good care of his son. I hope you understand."
Daisy heaved a sigh of relief. As long as it wasn't Xavier's child, she was okay with that.
"Our family can afford one more child. Do as you wish." Daisy sat down and looked at Mr. Jones. "Life
with a child at home is more interesting, right?"
Mr. Jones nodded in agreement.
In fact, he didn't like that kind of life. It was enough for him to have Ryan and Ramona. If there were
one more child, he wished that would be Xavier and Arya's child.
But he didn't want to decline Arya.
From Xavier's accident to now, Arya's reaction surprised him. Although she and Jacob kept it a secret
about the plane accident, he knew something. It was not an accident.
Although he was not in power, it didn't mean that he didn't know anything about it. He was both
surprised and moved that Arya hid it from everyone and didn't let them worry.
Therefore, he accepted her from the bottom of his heart.
He was even willing to treat her the way he treated Bridget.
He would give Arya a father's love for his daughter.
Not to mention that she was from the Porter Family. Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
"Thank you." Arya was very happy to get their permission.
"You're welcome. After all, we are family. Come in and have dinner."
He did not go to see the child in Bridget's arms.
He gave all his love to Ryan and Ramona, and nothing left to someone else.
He would show that child kindness, at most.
Daisy came over to take a look. The child was still very young. She could not tell if the child looked like
Jasper.
When her gaze landed on Bridget's face, her expression became complicated. Considering that Bridget
was already with Jacob, she thought Bridget likely had put down her past with Jasper.
She reached out to hold the child. "I'll hold him. You can go eat."
"Let me do it." Arya held the child in Bridget's arms. "I had not bought some milk powder for the child.
After Bridget has dinner, let's go to the mall together to buy some."
At this time, the child in her arms cried. With the previous experience of taking care of Ramona, Arya
knew that such a young child either was hungry or peed therefore he cried. She carried him back to her
room and saw Nanny Joy was holding Ramona. Seeing her enter, Ramona stared at her and then at
the child.
Arya put the child on the bed, took off the diaper on his body. She found that it was not wet. She then
changed a better breathable diaper for him. As she diapered, she talk to Nanny Joy, "If I'm not here,
please pay more attention to the child."
Nanny Joy nodded, not asking much about the child.
Arya prepared some milk formula for Max so that the child would not starve before she went to the
mall.
After drinking some milk, the little guy stopped crying and sucked hard.
The little guy fell asleep as he drank the milk.
Arya picked him up and slightly patted his back, in case the child would vomit some milk.
After a while, the little guy fell asleep and Arya gently put him on the bed.
Bridget brought food for Arya. Arya tucked his baby in, took the milk from the tray, and put it back after
drinking it.
Bridget blinked. "Aren't you going to eat something?"
Arya just had a glass of milk.
"I'm not hungry. Please take it out."
Bridget sighed. Arya only ate a little.
But she was too stubborn to be persuaded into eating more.
Bridget had no choice but to take out the food.
After breakfast, Arya and Bridget went to the mall. They did not take any a child. Ryan went to school.
Daisy and Auntie could take care of the two children at home.
They bought some clothes and some baby necessities.
Unknowingly, they bought a lot.
Bridget held Arya's hand. "Arya, you're so nice."
In fact, Arya was really kind and generous.
Bridget used to be so unreasonable and hurt Arya that bad, but now Arya was still willing to treat
Bridget kindly and sincerely.
Arya always did her best to repay those who had helped her.
Arya patted Bridget's hand and gave Bridget an every-one-would-make-a-mistake look.
"Arya, look, the clothes in that store are so beautiful and suit you. Let's go and take a look..."
However, at this moment, the phone in Arya's pocket rang, and Arya picked it up. It was a call from
Officer YANG.
He called to ask her out.
"Are you free?"
Arya said yes.
Officer YANG gave her an address and said, "Just come over."
Arya said, "I see."
Hanging up the phone, she looked at Bridget. "I have something to do. Please take the things back."
Bridget nodded, took the thing in Arya's hand, and watched her leave the mall.
In fact, Bridget didn't leave the mall immediately. Instead, she walked into that dress shop and bought
that dress which she thought was fit for Arya.
Arya arrived where Officer YANG said, raised her hand, and knocked on the door. After a few seconds,
the door opened from inside. It was not Officer YANG who came into view, but Bella.
Arya was stunned. "Bella."
Bella pulled her in and reached out to hug her. "You're not in any danger, are you?"
Arya shook her head. Things were going well for her, and she was not in any trouble.
But she worried about Wenxian, who stayed by Liam's side all day.
"Is it convenient for you to come out now?"
Bella knew what Arya was referring to. She took a risk and asked Officer YANG to ask her out to meet
her. She was afraid that there would be no chance of going out in the future.
She took Arya's hand and sat down.
There was tea on the rectangular mahogany table. Bella made it skillfully and poured Arya a cup of tea.
Arya took a sip and looked up at Bella. "Do you have anything to say to me?"
Bella did not answer her directly. Instead, he took out a box of cigarettes and lit a slender lady's
cigarette.
She smoked heavily and asked, "Do you remember the first time we met?"
Arya nodded. "Yes."
Bella was assigned to their cell later, but...
"After you were taken away, you never came back."
They had been in a cell for a year and a half, and then she was taken away and never came back.
"Where have you been?" Arya looked at her in confusion.
