Chapter 420
Chapter 420
Arya sat down smoothly with his pull. "Are you drunk?"
Xavier poked his head out. He looked affectionate and his gaze was deep. "Will you sleep with me for a
while?"
"Hmmm."
Just as Arya was about to answer, Bridget knocked on the door. "Sister-in-law, are you there?"
Xavier froze for a few seconds, then he hid in the quilt again.
At this moment, he didn't want to see anyone. Could he be alone for a while?
Arya glanced at him and opened the door. Bridget looked at her. "Get me one of my brother's clothes."
Arya frowned. "Did he vomit?"
Jacob should have a high tolerance.
"Yes, a little," Bridget said.
Arya told her to wait, then walked to the closet to look for clothes, and handed them to her.
Bridget took it and went back to the dining room. Nanny May was already cleaning up it. Bridget put his
arm on her with one hand holding the clothes and helped him upstairs.
She struggled a little. Fortunately, Jacob was not too drunk. He felt a little dizzy, but he could think
clearly. "Where are we going?"
"Live here. How can you leave as such?" The smell of alcohol on him was strong.
Bridget's room was upstairs. It took her a lot of effort to get him upstairs. She opened the door, helped
him sit on the bed, and put the clothes next to him. "Change your dirty clothes and sleep." After saying
that, Bridget left and closed the door. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Jacob sat by the bed and rubbed his brows. He was thirsty and he had a stomachache. Usually, he
could drink more than today. He didn't know why he was feeling so unwell now.
Bridget went downstairs and saw Arya was making honey water. She said, "Sister-in-law, make two
cups..."
When she got closer, she saw that Arya had already made it. After that, Arya handed her one and
asked, "Is Jacob better?"
Bridget took it from Arya and sat on the sofa. "I asked him to change clothes upstairs."
Arya stood still. "You and he..."
"We're fine." Bridget scratched her hair.
She no longer wanted to talk about herself and Jacob today.
At this point, right or wrong was no longer important, so it was better to let nature take its course.
Arya could see that she was against being asked about her relationship with Jacob.
Arya stopped asking and stepped into the room. When she opened the door, Ryan ran over with a
pillow in his hand. He raised his head and blinked. "Mommy, I want to sleep with you."
Arya stroked his head and led him into the room.
Bridget sat alone in the living room for a while, feeling that Jacob could almost finish changing his
clothes. She then went upstairs with the honey water.
She knocked on the door.
Jacob had already worn clean clothes. He was not as tall as Xavier. His shirt was a little bigger, but it
didn't matter. When he heard a knock, he opened it.
Bridget walked in and handed him the honey water. "Drink it. It will make you comfortable."
Jacob was stunned and didn't pick it up immediately.
He usually drank too much during social engagements and fell asleep directly. He was thirsty at night
but no one would pour him a glass of water. Suddenly, such a person appeared in his life, and he was
not used to it.
Bridget blinked, not quite understanding what he meant.
Jacob took it. "Thank you."
Bridget smiled. "I'm not an outsider."
As she spoke, she walked towards the cabinet and looked for something. As she searched, she said to
Jacob, "You can sleep here tonight. I'll go downstairs."
She found the quilt and took it out.
She glanced at the honey water he didn't drink. "Have some. Good night."
After that, she left. Just as she was about to go downstairs, Daisy, who came out, looked straight at her
and asked in confusion, "Bridget, why are you holding the quilt?"
