Chapter 447
Chapter 447
Jacob was speechless.
Would they be separated for the rest of their lives?
How did she know there was no one at home?
What if, what if they have children in the future?
"I'll talk to my brother." Bridget stepped forward and knocked on the door.
Xavier opened the door for them. Bridget and Jacob were changing their shoes at the door. They didn't
see the two children. Bridget asked, "Where are Ryan and Ramona?"
"They're at the Old Residence." Xavier stood aside, casually put his hands in his pockets. "Go to help
with the food."
"What?" Bridget looked up at Xavier. "Not done yet?"
Xavier patted her on the head. "You want to eat without helping her?"
"Fine, I'll go to help her." Bridget walked towards the kitchen in his slippers. "Arya, let me help you."
Arya looked back at her and said with a smile, "You have to make dinner yourself today."
"A dinner made by myself can give me a sense of accomplishment." Bridget took over the job of
washing vegetables.
While the two women were busy with dinner in the kitchen, Xavier and Jacob were studying work in the
living room.
After about an hour, Arya and Bridget prepared all the dishes.
Arya let Bridget finish the jobs in the kitchen. "I'll go clean the table. We'll eat out tonight."
"Okay," Bridget answered. Then an idea came to her mind. "Open another bottle of wine."
Arya leaned against the door and looked at her. "Do you wanna drink again?"
"We can drink less." Bridget smiled, feeling that wine was a must on this occasion.
Arya turned around and went to the wine cabinet to choose a bottle with a lower alcohol rate. It was too
uncomfortable to be drunk. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
There was a round table on the balcony on the first floor. Arya covered it with a tablecloth and brought
up the wine and dishes. Jacob came to help arrange the chair.
The balcony was lit up by the light, and the sky was dotted with stars. Not far away, the ripples were
sparkling, and there was a sense of leisure.
Arya and Xavier sat at one side of the table, and Jacob and Bridget sat at the other side.
Jacob opened the wine bottle and sighed. "When can I take a vacation?"
Arya put a chicken wing on Bridget's plate. "Are you tired?"
Arya held her chin and said lazily, "Don't be afraid. Just speak out what's in your mind."
Before Jacob could say anything, Bridget continued this subject. "Brother, you have to give Jacob
some vacation. You can't let him be busy all year round. It's too far."
Jacob was shocked. Bridget was actually defending him?
Arya took out the right hand that Xavier held in his hand and held his instead. "Look, Bridget was now
so thoughtful."
It seemed that her and Xavier's worries were unnecessary.
Bridget didn't think she had said something wrong.
Why did Arya put on that expression?
Bridget nibbled on the chicken wing Arya had given her. "Jacob is really like my Sugar."
"Who's Sugar?" Arya raised her eyebrows.
"Jacob bought me a pet dog."
Arya was speechless.
Xavier took Arya's hand back, rubbed it in his palm, and looked at Jacob with a half-smile. "You
betrayed me?"
Jacob wanted to roll his eyes.
Was he crazy? Why did he complain in front of Bridget?
Jacob smiled. "Bridget just worried about me, afraid that I was too tired."
Bridget, "..."
As Bridget turned around and was about to say "I didn't care about you at all", Jacob grabbed her hand
and looked at her tightly. "Right, Bridget?"
His eyes seemed to indicate that they had to act like a real couple in front of them.
Bridget swallowed what she wanted to say.
Xavier looked at Jacob's expression, which obviously accused Jacob of being shameless.
"Bridget." Arya smiled.
