And The Daddy Is… The Infertile Guy?!

Chapter 132

Chapter 132

Bill leaned against the wall, panting heavily, a wicked smirk curling at the corners of his mouth.

Gwendolyn jogged along, the silence behind her prompting her to glance back.

A noxious gas sprayed out, engulfing her. She felt woozy, consciousness slipping away in

an instant.

Elsewhere.

Sandra éxited the hotel and made a beeline for the hospital.

“Have you seen Gwendolyn?”

Her cell phone was with Gwendolyn, unreachable. Sandra had a fierce exchange with Bill’s wife, but for some unknown reason, the woman had backed off mid–fight. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

Even Bill was gone.

“No, she hasn’t come back.”

“Sandra, the head nurse is looking for you.”

Anxious, Sandra blurted, “Oh dear, I’m in a bind!”

She searched every hospital floor, but Gwendolyn was nowhere to be found. Something must have happened!

Digging through her desk, Sandra found the form Gwendolyn had filled ou emergency contact number from the landline.

“Hello! Is this Mr. Chadwick? Gwendolyn’s missing! We went to confront Bill today and caught him on video faking an illness. Then…” Sandra relayed everything.

“I understand, thank you for the information.” Howard hung up the phone, his face livid.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Chadwick. I thought it was safe inside the hotel, so I didn’t follow her in,” apologized the man, head bowed with regret. He was the bodyguard assigned to protect Gwendolyn.

Howard ignored him, turning instead to the technician fiddling with a device. “Got al location yet?”

He had been informed of Gwendolyn’s disappearance immediately.

“We got it!” The technician exclaimed with excitement. “Mrs. Chadwick’s phone has been on the move, GPS active, but it could also be a ruse by the kidnappers.”

“Prepare the equipment. Cliff, let’s move,” Howard commanded calmly.

“Roger that.”

Howard slipped on his Bluetooth earpiece, stood from his wheelchair, and left the villa. Cliff drove, heading towards the location pinpointed by the GPS.

Throughout the drive, Howard remained cool, but Cliff could sense a frenzy in his gaze. If Waldo had taken Mrs. Chadwick, it was a grim situation indeed. Waldo would be out for

vengeance.

Howard methodically organized the search. “Nathan, get me the surveillance from around the hotel. Look for suspicious vehicles and report the license plate numbers to me.”

“Quentin, get the police involved and explain the situation. Ask for their assistance in the

arrest.”

Disabling his phone’s vibration, Howard turned the ringtone volume to maximum, eyes fixed on the dark screen.

As if by some premonition, the phone screen lit up, flashing on the caller ID “Honey“.

His fingers tingled as he swiped to answer.

Silence on the other end. The technician hastily traced the signal, pinpointing a location through the cell tower interactions. It led them to the outskirts of West Suburb, to a construction site owned by the Chadwick Group, long abandoned.

It was once destined to be the bustling Utopia Skylines, now a site of archaeological digs and derelict buildings.

Howard activated the speakerphone. From the other end came a cacophony of sounds.

There was the rustle of fabric, the roll of tires, the roar of an engine, and even faint breathing.

Finally, the car engine cut off, and the tires screeched against the pavement.

The car door was flung open, and a scream pierced the air.
