Chapter 53 It Seemed That She Had Too Much Free Time
Chapter 53 It Seemed That She Had Too Much Free Time
Harriet had planned to take a taxi home, and Molly's phone came again.
"Harriet, I'll pick you up."
"I'm outside the hospital. You come to the bus station to meet me." She sent her position for Molly by
the way.
Soon, Molly drove a motor house to pick her up, "Harriet, that's great, you're fine." Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Although she knew that Harriet was fine, she was so excited to hug her when they met in person.
Harriet was so struck by her that she felt breathless, "Molly, stay cool."
Molly noticed that there was something wrong with her voice and let go of her arms.
Harriet took a few breaths before getting on the car.
"By the way, what is your relationship with Jack?" Molly asked her in purpose.
"We are friends. He rescued me last night." Harriet didn't dare to tell Molly about her relationship with
Wesley.
"It must be Irene. Harriet, I will definitely find a chance to help you get revenge against her." Molly said
seriously.
Harriet raised her lips and smiled brightly, "No, God will punish her."
Molly glanced at her suspiciously. When did Miss Clark trust God as she was always be the one who
will fight against someone who hurt her?
"Stop looking at me and just drive home."
She got home and saw Colin was present.
She was drunk last night and forgot to tell him which caused him worrying her the whole night. She
apologized and did self-review to beg his pardon. Colin finally forgave her.
In the afternoon Harriet went to visit Keith again, but it was not as lucky as last time. She was secretly
followed. The next day, she became the headlines and the news was published on newspaper.
In the office of Pop Culture, Wesley's face was dull, and a pair of black eyes was as dark as the night,
revealing the cold.
"Go and investigate it." he picked up the newspaper and threw it into the trash with a sneer.
The page was the entertainment section, and the title with several bright red characters was particularly
eye-catching.
"Harriet met a young handsome man secretly who was suspected to be her boyfriend."
At the bottom was group of photos of Harriet secretly going to Keith's villa, and there were scenes that
they were saying goodbye, but Keith's face was not taken.
Harriet smiled in a relaxed and casual way on the photo. She rarely smiled in front of him like that.
He kicked away the paper basket as he got more pissed off by the newspaper. He felt better when the
photo was completely out of sight.
The PR department of Pleasure Media took action soon for the news soon even though they did not
know who faked it.
But gossip went virus.
Jack investigated the issue but he failed to find out the culprit behind the heist.
"Boss, do I need to continue to investigate on it?" Jack told Wesley about the situation.
Wesley was looking at the document without making any response but there was a flash of hatred at
the bottom of his eyes.
Those people had smarter and smarter means. He already had some thought about it.
Recalling Harriet's deliberate alienation from him in the hospital and her active caring for Keith, he got
angrier in his heart.
It seemed that she had too much free time, and she still had time to care about some irrelevant people.
"You don't have to do further action on this issue." His mouth twitched slightly, and the topic suddenly
was changed. "Tell Pleasure Media to fill her schedules."
It was obvious who he referred.
Jack nodded and obeyed the order even though he was somewhat inexplicable. He contacted Kate.
Pleasure Media did it with high efficiency and Harriet was ended her holiday in the day.
The company informed Molly that Harriet was arranged a jewelry endorsement, and she must
immediately leave for Nevada to shoot the photos.
This jeweler was not well-known in the world, but it was popular in the country. It had always had a
good reputation so it was a choice to do the endorsement for it.
No one would be tired of having more money and she could stay away from Wesley which was exactly
what she wanted. Harriet simply packed up her luggage and said goodbye to her home.
Keith called her and wanted to apologize to her, but unfortunately, Harriet happened to shoot an
advertisement in the studio and did not receive his call.
It was time for having a dinner when the work was done. Harriet sent back a message to Keith after
seeing the message he sent to her, "It's okay. I am fine."
There were always gossips about stars in the entertainment circle, and the gossip about them was not
that attracted for people so Harriet did not care about it.
It took three days to finish the advertisement.
They had to rush back to Folsom as the new crew required they arrive there in advance.
Harriet was exhausted on the seat in the car, feeling that she had been working day and night for
centuries.
When did she have such full schedule?
Molly was still talking about the schedule she had received in her ear. She should attend an awards
ceremony first, and...
Harriet didn't want to listen anymore but squeezed her eyebrows and covered Molly's mouth, "My
lovely Molly. Could we take a break?"
Molly nodded with her shining eyes, full of fighting spirit.
Harriet let go her hand and pulled the iPad from her hand and checked the detailed schedule. The
tremendous arrangement made her frown tight, "Are you sure these are all my jobs?"
"Yeah, they are all carefully selected."
"Haha." Harriet put on a fake smile, "When did I become a money-making machine for Pleasure
Media?"
"What machine, Harriet? You have to think like this way. You are now investing in yourself as only you
work hard by taking advantage of your youth. You can become a super star and live a comfortable life
in the future.” Molly was gearing up for the bright future.
Harriet touched her forehead, wondering It didn't seem to be as good as she thought for having an
agent who was dedicated for her future.
"I'm afraid I'll die suddenly before I become a big star." She even had to work on the weekends but she
was not a workaholic!
Molly rolled her eyes at Harriet, "Yuck, don't talk nonsense. You have your free time after 9:00 p.m.
every day. Besides, Harriet, look at these schedules, everyone has its effect. Many are trying to get
these chances. We should cherish the opportunity we have. Once we miss them, we will never find
them back."
Opportunity?
Harriet lowered her eyelids as she was really tired.
With Wesley as her background, how dare people exploit her, unless...
A sudden enlightenment popped up in her mind. She bit her lower lip, wondering it must Wesley's tricks
How did she provoke him and make him arrange such full schedules for her?
Harriet burst into anger.
She moved her neck, feeling quite stiff which was caused by the damned man.
Harriet didn't eat dinner at night and called Jack one she got home.
"Ask Wesley to answer the phone!" She said angrily.
Harriet knew that Wesley had answered the phone with a subtle sound. She questioned him with
continuous sentences without waiting for him to speak. "Wesley Smith, at least you are a big fish, why
do you have to play dirty tricks behind me?”
"How come I provoke you and make you torture me with different ways?"
"Yes, it is true that I am relying on you, but I also have my life. Why do you treat me like this as I just
made a friend and had a dinner with him! There were nothing happened between me and him!" Harriet
guessed that Wesley may have deliberately filled up her schedule because of her scandal with Keith.
"And you have promised me before. As long as I sign back to Pleasure Media, I have the right to
decide what work I will accept. But look at what is happening. A bunch of messy endorsements apply to
me. I don't have time to shoot them."
She talked incessantly but the man just replied in three words lightly, "Have you done your
complaints?"
"Not yet!" Harriet raised her voice, "I know you are powerful and I can't resist you. But as long as I am
free, I have the right to make friends, unless you buy an island to lock me up on it!"
"Oh, this is a good proposal." The man's dull voice suddenly added a little more playfulness.
