Chapter 42 A Scum
Chapter 42 A Scum
The amusement park on the weekend was crowded with people. Sadie was held by Julian, feeling the
heat in her palm.
This was the first time that she had come here. She didn't expect that there would be so many couples,
as well as countless parents and children.
Julian was wearing a particularly casual outfit. Black trousers wrapped his straight and slender legs.
With a light brown V-neck sweater, the muscles on his chest were conspicuous.
Although his clothes were not much different from ordinary people, he seemed out of place standing in
the middle of the crowd.
He also looked as if he didn't want to stay here for one more second.
He looked rather reluctant, which perfectly showed that he disdained to be friends with mortals.
Sadie was given a blow on the golf course. She wanted to use those extremely dangerous activities to
vent the depression. But when she got here, her legs softened first when she heard those harsh
screams.
She seemed to have done another stupid thing.
After hesitating for a while, she finally decided to play the carousel.
Julian had no objection to this. He didn't feel reluctant anymore. Instead, he smiled playfully, which
looked rather annoying.
After buying the tickets and waiting in line to go up, he lowered his head, chuckled, and whispered in Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
her ear thoughtfully. "Let's not do it if you're scared. Walking around can be regarded as coming to the
amusement park."
Sadie got angry and stared at him coldly. "No way!"
She felt good after taking the carousel for ten minutes at a time, so she asked to ride the Ferris wheel.
Julian raised his head slightly, glanced at the Ferris wheel, and held her to buy tickets.
In the autumn afternoon, the sun was burning. People who were playing in the park were getting less.
Those who were still waiting in line were couples.
Julian lowered his head with his eyes narrowing slightly. He looked at the little woman close to him with
interest.
The hair near her ear was drenched with sweat, clinging to her thin pale neck, which looked like
feathers lightly stroking his heart.
Rolling up the tip of his tongue, he unconsciously pressed his upper jaw. A playful smile was drawn on
his lips.
After going up, the Ferris wheel quickly began to run. Sadie looked out through the window and her
face turned pale.
She was afraid of heights.
"Don't be afraid, I am here." Julian squeezed her hand and smiled. "Do you want to continue?"
As Sadie listened to his playful voice, the grievances instantly turned into raging anger. She gritted her
teeth and said. "Yes!"
"Are you sure?" Julian lowered her head, kissed her on the forehead, and suddenly understood why
those boys always liked to bring their girlfriends to hang out here.
Although it was childish, it was really interesting.
At least, Sadie's reaction was fascinating. She was sad just now. And he knew that she wanted to vent
her frustration and make him sick by the way.
But it didn't matter as long as she could be happy.
After getting off the Ferris wheel, Sadie's legs buckled. She was almost unable to stand. When they
went to ride the roller coaster, she almost hung herself on Julian.
She thought the roller coaster was the kind of slow train that passed through the cave, but when she
got up, she found that it would rotate 360 degrees.
As it started, she held Julian tightly and closed her eyes hard, biting her lower lip.
After a long while, she finally dared to open her eyes, let go of her lips, and scream. She shouted so
hard and cried. She couldn't tell whether it was because of fear or sadness.
Fortunately, there were such voices all around, so she was not too conspicuous.
Julian grabbed her arm tightly. His eyes darkened, looking rather unfathomable.
After they got off the roller coaster, Sadie was as pale as a ghost, lying on his back softly and being
carried out by Julian.
"I'll bring you here next weekend." Julian was carrying her on his back, walking through the crowd. "We
haven't tried the jumping machine and the pirate ship yet."
Sadie felt so uncomfortable that she wanted to cry, so she didn't want to respond.
Otto also carried her like this before. At that time, she was in the third year of high school. It was late at
night after self-study at school, she fell in a hurry and broke the skin of her knee.
Without hesitation, he picked her up and ran to the hospital.
When he came out of the hospital, he said, "Sweetheart, can't you let me take care of you?"
He also said, "Sadie, I am serious. Be my little bride."
As she listened to his steady and powerful heartbeat, she said softly, "Yes". After that, he picked her up
every night after self-study, told her the key points of the exam, and taught her how to solve the study
problems.
He was such a good man. How could he flirt with other women and make such nasty moves?
"Why don't you say something?" Julian felt the chill on his neck. His face turned gloomy.
He was a scum who wasn't worth her crying.
"I still feel a little bit uncomfortable..." Sadie came back to her senses and sounded as if she had cried.
Julian pressed his lips, speeding up as he was walking out.
They went all the way and received the attention of countless people, which made Sadie even more
annoyed. Her face went bright pink.
Julian didn't care about it at all. When she was a kid, he always carried her back like this when he went
to the kindergarten to pick her up.
When he walked out of the amusement park, the driver had already driven the car over.
Sadie got into the car and was exhausted, holding onto his sleeve and not letting go.
Julian lowered his head, staring at her hand grabbing tightly for a moment. Then he stretched out to
unscrew a bottle of water, took a sip, and handed it to her. "Where do you want to eat?"
Sadie let go of her hand in embarrassment, sullenly taking the water over. "Whatever."
Julian raised his eyebrows and said to the driver, "Find a whatever restaurant. Let's go to have dinner."
The driver looked through the rearview mirror, saw the smile on his face, and answered very
cooperatively, "Yes, sir."
Sadie drank the water, held the water bottle, and leaned weakly against the back of the chair. After
doing all these things, she didn't feel so sad anymore when she thought of Otto.
The casual restaurant the driver found was Lake Restaurant, which was as famous as PH Restaurant.
But Lake Restaurant's fame was not promoted by magazines, but by word of mouth of those rich men.
When working part-time at Milra, Talia would occasionally gossip with them, saying that the members of
Lake Restaurant were either rich or powerful. Ordinary people couldn't get in. The big boss behind the
scenes was also mysterious and had a powerful background.
She was not interested in that and didn't take it seriously. That place was way out of her league.
Getting off the car, she looked at the furnishings comparable to the royal gardens and suddenly
remembered the show of the club not long ago. The style was very similar to the one here, but it was
very different.
The scenery here was beautiful and elegant. The club was neither fish nor fowl. Although it wanted to
be elegant, it looked extremely vulgar.
"Do you want to eat local food or Cantonese food?" Julian held her shoulders, said jokingly. "Can you
walk? If you can't, I'll carry you."
Sadie blushed, shook his hand away, and strode forward.
Julian's eyes flickered. He calmly followed her. The private room was set in a pavilion in the courtyard,
surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. The setting sun shone in through the branches, creating a
tranquil and elegant atmosphere.
Sadie pulled the chair away and sat down, realizing that her hands were a bit dirty, so she stood up to
wash in the bathroom.
After washing and preparing to go out, a strange and familiar voice suddenly was heard in the private
room. "I heard that Master Julian was here. I thought the manager was talking nonsense."
