Chapter 122
Chapter 122
122. Welcome to the Cruise Ship
“My God! Isn’t that Frank Harper? Our country’s number one businessman?”
Melissa’s eyebrows knitted together. She glared at her friend, but the woman didn’t care. She had been
hypnotized by the handsome young man in the navy blue shirt.
“Oh my God! Why is he so handsome? If only I had a girl, I would have set her up with him.”
“Are you dreaming? How could he want your child? He even rejected the Hall family’s eldest daughter.
Melissa clenched her jaw tighter. Why were her friends praising another young man at her son’s
wedding? Only Finnic should be revered.
“Melissa, your son is truly extraordinary. I didn’t expect him to be friends with a world-class CEO!”
Melissa let out a laugh. She didn’t know whether to be flattered or insulted. “Is that so?” Before she got
a reply, she was distracted again
“Look! He’s with his new girlfriend. Oh my! This is gonna be big news! You’re lucky, Melissa. They
chose your son’s wedding for their first appearance!”
Melissa laughed bitterly. Her son was a rising CEO. He has won many awards recently. Was his name
still not as famous as that Frank?
Faking a smile, she looked at the girl who had just gotten out of the limousine. The blue dress on her
slender body looked harmonious with her lover. In her hand, there was a black hand bag studded with
pearls that Melissa had failed to buy yesterday.
“Gosh, that bag!” Her two friends gasped. However, realizing that Melissa’s jaw was throbbing, they
chose to remain silent.
‘That couple…. they must be taught some manners.’

“Frank Harper, is she the woman you mentioned in your clarification?”
“Would you like to introduce yourself, Miss?”
“Please show your face to the camera!”
Even though various questions bombarded them, Frank kept walking. His arms casually protected
Kara. His lips occasionally formed a smile for the cameras.
Meanwhile, Kara lowered her head. One of her hands was raised, letting the bag block her face from
the cameras. She felt the flash didn’t dim even though it was filtered by her sunglasses. She only
raised her chin when they arrived at the elevator.
“Is it what celebrities feel? It’s dazzling,” she muttered.
Smiling, Frank rubbed her back. “If you don’t like the blitz, I can gid of them. I can ban all media from
covering us in the future. B today, please endure it.”
The curve of Kara’s lips turned sour. After a nod, she turned to bodyguard who was holding back
laughter in the corner of the elevator. “What’s wrong, Philip? Is something funny?”
“Nothing, Miss. I just got a brilliant idea. If your fame surpasses that of a celebrity, may I sell your
autograph?”
Frank snorted faintly. When the elevator door opened again, he stepped out with Kara then took the
suitcase from the bodyguard’s hand. “You don’t need to follow us anymore, Enjoy your holiday.”
The in a Hawaiian shirt and knee-length pants suddenly
g man straightened his back. “Yes, Sir! I will pick you up in two days.”
Then, with a cheerful face, Philip closed the elevator door. Kara let out a laugh seeing his happiness. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
“How many days’ annual leave does he have? He’s like a prisoner who just got out of prison.”
Frank shrugged briefly. “They’re on holiday when I’m on holiday. Now,” he held out one hand, “can we
start our vacation?”
Kara curled up the corners of her lips. She knew Frank chose the word. “vacation” so she wouldn’t be
too nervous. However, as she was about to reply, a voice came from behind her back.
“Welcome to the cruise ship, Mr. Harper.”
Kara stared wide eyed. Her breath hitched and her eyes trembled. She tried hard to gather her
courage, but failed.
Seeing how his lover turned frozen, Frank’s expression darkened. Quickly, he pulled Kara and let her
bury her face in his shoulder.
“Thank you for your warm welcome, Mrs. Miller.”
Hearing that reply, Melissa’s friends gasped and covered the
mouths.
“He recognizes you?”
“Why didn’t you tell us that you knew someone as famous as F Harper?”
The man quietly snorted. “Who doesn’t know Melissa Miller? Her so Finnic Miller, made many
advances in medical technology. His company has grown rapidly in recent years.”
Melissa’s lips involuntarily curved high. “You are surprisingly good at

“Extraordinary people are indeed’ worthy of praise.” Frank raised an eyebrow. His charm melted the
hearts of other women. However, it didn’t affect Melissa. Her eyes narrowed as she studied the
mysterious girl.
“Anyway,” Frank continued, “I’m sorry if my girlfriend can’t introduce herself yet. We’re waiting for the
right time for this important moment.
While her friends bit their lips to suppress giggling, Melissa smiled crookedly. Inwardly, she sneered.
‘This young man is so pretentious.’
A second later, Melissa swung her fan towards the hallway. “Well then, please confirm your attendance
to the receptionist. If you want to get the best room, don’t hesitate to ask. They will definitely provide
it.”
“Thank you, Mrs. Miller, but I have reserved the Superstar Suite.”
All the women stared wide eyed. It was the best room on the cruise ship, located on pivot level and
equipped with a balcony.
“They occupy the cabin next to the bridal chamber?” one of the women whispered.
“Why doesn’t the Moore family use it for themselves? Why guests?”
While the women went back to gossiping, Frank continued w with Kara. With just a nod, the
receptionists let him through.
“They are truly special guests!”
At the Superstar Suite, Kara finally took some distance from Frank Seeing her wrinkled face, the man
teased, “Now I know why Emily
always hides behind your waist every time she avoids me. She follows her mother.”
Instead of smiling, Kara frowned. “Is this how you comfort me?”
Hearing that serious tone, Kara shook her head faintly. “I also don’t understand where the brave Kara
has gone
When we passed the reporters earlier, I thought I could face all of this. But, after hearing Melissa’s
voice, my confidence was shattered.”
Kara let out a heavy sigh. Her shoulders drooped. “This is the first time we met after that night.”
Frank’s head snapped back. “What makes you reluctant to face her?”
Kara’s shoulders lifted faintly. “I’m not sure. After Finnic broke up with me, Melissa called me. There
was no meaningful conversation, just
verbal abuse.”
With teary eyes, Kara forced a smile. “Maybe I’m afraid of that feeling happening again?”
Frank’s lips suddenly pursed. After a brief moment of contemplation, he held both Kara’s shoulders.
“Do you remember what we came here for?”
Kara’s eyes trembled violently. “You already know who framed me?”
“Who is it, Frank?” Kara sighed hoarsely. Her eyes reflected dim light. ”
