Chapter 1039: Now It's Perfect
Bonnie came down from upstairs and was a bit surprised when she saw Zane sitting in the living room.
"When did you come back?" she asked.
"Just got back," Zane replied.
Bonnie explained, "I might be disturbing you guys tonight."
Zane nodded, "You can stay with Yanis, and I'll go to the guest room."
Bonnie was shocked by Zane's suggestion. "Me, sleeping with Yanis?"
Zane confirmed, "Just talk to her."
Bonnie agreed, "Okay."
Bonnie had planned to ask the housekeeper to prepare the guest room, but she didn't expect Zane to
return so soon. Since he insisted, she didn't object and agreed to sleep with Yanis.
"I'll go get some milk powder for Mles, you go up and check on Yanis," Bonnie said.
Zane nodded and got up, going upstairs to Yanis.
Upon seeing Zane, Yanis didn't immediately go and prepare the milk powder for Mles. Instead, she sat
in the living room for a while before finally going to attend to Mles.
Afterward, she went upstairs.
When Bonnie went upstairs, Zane had just come out of the room. "Finished talking?" Bonnie asked.
Zane nodded, "I'm going to the guest room. Call me if you need anything."
Bonnie assured him, "I've got it covered."
Zane nodded in response and went to the guest room.
Bonnie went inside with a milk bottle, watching Yanis play with Mles. She said softly, "Mr. Lawrence's
reaction today made me feel like I just met him for the first time."
Yanis chuckled, "What happened?"
"He actually allowed you and me to sleep together," Bonnie said as she handed the milk bottle to Mles.
Thinking about Zane's reluctant expression earlier, Yanis couldn't help but laugh. "If it were before, I
feel like I would've been shamelessly trying to sleep with you, and he would have kicked me out with a
dark face."
Bonnie asked, "Is the shop busy these days?" Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"It's manageable. Linda has great potential, so I'm planning to let her go out and learn for a while and
hire some new staff," Bonnie replied.
Linda had been with Bonnie since she started the shop almost ten years ago. Now it was time to give
her more responsibilities and opportunities to grow.
Yanis asked, "Have you talked to Linda about it?"
"I plan to discuss it with her tomorrow," Bonnie answered.
At this point, Bonnie hesitated and said, "I heard Stanley and Linda are planning to meet each other's
parents. Something good might happen soon. I'm wondering whether to wait a bit longer or tell her
tomorrow."
"Have a chat with her first and see what Linda thinks," Yanis suggested.
Bonnie agreed, "I'll talk to her tomorrow."
Yanis nodded and looked at Mles, who had finished drinking the milk. "Did you prepare clean clothes
for Mles?"
Bonnie replied, "There are some in the bag downstairs. I'll go get them."
Yanis got up to go with Bonnie, saying, "I'll get them. I haven't left the house since coming back from
the hospital."
Bonnie was naturally worried and grabbed Yanis' hand, saying, "The doctor told you to rest. Just stay
here and behave."
After that, Bonnie went to get the clean clothes for Mles.
Once Bonnie left, Yanis sat down again and played with Mles.
After getting Mles ready for bed, Bonnie took a bath and returned to the room, saying, "Yanis, let's
sleep on the floor tonight."
Yanis, who was tidying up the bed, looked up at Bonnie and asked, "Why not sleep on the bed?"
"This is your and Mr. Lawrence's bed. It's not appropriate for me to sleep on it. I'll just sleep on the
floor," Bonnie said. She had decided to stay in the master bedroom after much contemplation, but she
still couldn't just casually sleep on their bed.
Yanis put down the pillow and blanket in her hands and said, "It's okay. We don't mind."
Bonnie rolled her eyes, "If it were in the past, I would've shamelessly tried to sleep with you, and he
probably would've kicked me out of the room with a dark face."
Yanis chuckled and asked, "Is the shop busy these days?"
"It's manageable. Linda has great potential, so I plan to send her out to learn for a while and hire some

Bonnie frowned, "Sleeping on the floor is cooler."
Yanis sighed, "Fine."
In the end, Yanis went to the guest room.
Zane hadn't been feeling very sleepy, and by the time Yanis entered the guest room, almost half an
hour had passed.
As she entered, Bonnie was sitting on the bed, looking at her phone. She glanced at Yanis as she
entered and commented, "I thought Mr. Lawrence would change his mind."
Yanis closed the door and sat down on the bed. "Is Mles asleep?"
"He just fell asleep," Bonnie replied, looking at Yanis's slightly red lips. "Mr. Lawrence managed to
control himself quite well. I'm impressed."
Yanis playfully glared at her,
"What are you talking about?"
Bonnie laughed and let her gaze fall to Yanis's belly. She said softly, "Now it's perfect."
Yanis followed Bonnie's gaze and looked at her belly. "Yes, I feel the same way."
